Spring training is almost here so the Mariners need to act quickly and get their roster in line with what our expectations for them are. Rumors suggest a move that would be higher on the totem pole than Donovan Solano could be coming sooner rather than later. Is it revisiting trade talks with the Cubs about Nico Hoerner or is it with the Twins about Willi Castro?

We been "Rumoured" to be in on everyone entire offseason and Jerry hasnt made a trade or signing and I dont trust he will. We sadly gotta come to terms with Solano Dylan Moore and Rivas as our infield this year and Dipoto still somehow wont loose his job

Unless your shitting on the M's is happy thinking they have pretended that they wanted to trade Castillo and asked for the moon. They want us to think they are forced to start two or three rookies for 800K per player. That is in order to not pay a real MLB player with great production still to come. I have listened to Jerry say I have wanted blank player for years and years. That player is at that point and old player just hanging on like fill in the blank. Jerry says that look at our offense production after Scott was fired we don't need to add? Well if you Jerry would have fired him much earlier than you did we would have made the playoffs. But one and a half months don't make a season. Jerry needs to go somewhere any where along with the front office. Forrest Gump can pick up cut players from other teams. Your field is hard to get hits in does Jerry move the outfield fences back, no that would take money to do, to improve our offense? Why did Jerry move those fences in to increase homer, well you got the homers and now Seattle is a city that MLB players don't want to play for because your stats will plummet. But Jerry and pick up has been players and cut pitchers like he was! Why don't the owners fire him because that would cost the owners money! Our owners are money whores that only want more and more, instead of winning against winning teams!

I think the move is Ha Seong Kim. I saw a prospective guess at a deal which would be a cheaper 1st year, 2nd and 3rd backloaded.
Also it is ridiculous to believe that the trading price for Mitch Haniger's 1 year remaining would be Colt Emerson. There are still the A's and Marlins that must hit the approx. $105mil payroll or receive a grievance from the MLBPA that will likely cost them more.
With the 7 prospects in the BA top 100 it isnt Colt.
I am not going to blame Jerry Dipoto and the company, as they can only do what John Stanton allows them to do or work with. There, I said it, the problem sits totally with the Mariners owner, John Stanton. As a fan, I have finally realized [not recently] that the Mariners will never achieve a World Series Title under the John Stanton ownership. But that is not all of the issues. One big issue is that the Mariners will never be able to sign free agents [unless they are way overpaid] or they fix the reason why hitters come to T-Mobile Park to die [one major issue that has been stated is hitters don't like the batters eye]. The other reason is, it is a pitchers park. For the most part the Mariners pitchers are not as great as they are made out to be.
What am I saying? Fear them at T-Mobile Park, but on the road, they are just so-so pitchers [stats prove this]. So, to recap, John Stanton is the issue, as is the batter's eye, and Mariners pitchers are only outstanding in friendly ballparks.

Neither of those will hit they’ll be another Dominic canzone. I put money on it. Colt Emerson is the closest this farm will have at a good every day player with harry ford being a back up catcher this farm isn’t as good as people think you heard it here first.
The minute our prospects have a choice they will want to leave because we have a greedy owner who has billions of value and does not want to risk any of his money so no hope for us under that. Last year we would have been in the playoffs but Saurez and Theo were given away and we got nothing for them as it was a fire sale.
They aren't getting any big name batting
Mariners made several bad decisions in the last few years. Root sports (Stanton) and Haniger (Dipoto). They are unwilling to spend what a team with their revenue streams support. #stantonsucks

What about Luis Robert?
He would be relatively cheap, club control for multiple years massive upside and a massive upgrade from Mitch potentially.
It would take at least one of our top 3 prospects and he makes too much money. Not a good fit.

And we would have the best rotation and outfield in baseball + catcher
And all our prospects are infielders, so it sets us up nicely to be a complete team

@ it’s still within the budget for this year, with even a few million to spare and the White Sox are one of the only teams willing to trade for prospects right now (apparently)
Jerry’s mindset on trades are one of two options.
1. Salary dump
2. Fleecing the other team
He gets so cute on trying to always get that sneaky great deal that he never pays market value/maybe a slight overpay to make the team better.
I’m not saying to always overpay but if we offered the Red Sox Castillo/Locklear for Casas and like Giolito I feel like that a win win for both teams? We’d even save like 4 mil with gios contract but they’d never do it because “well only saving 4mil and getting an every day 1st base isn’t worth it, we’d need to save like hella money cuh” And I’m sick of them trying to platoon two average players at every position instead of having a guy play every day. I’d rather casas every day than bum f*ck salano and average ass Raley split time and never get into rhythm.

@ shoulda prefaced that with only if they signed Bregman to play 3rd. I also wouldn’t want that trade bc I think Locklear is gonna be really good. But the sentiment still stands, the only way a trade happens is if we salary dump or if Jerry thinks he’s fleecing the other team.
