I think a cell shaded early 2000s almost Dragon Quest kind of art would do fine, keep the battle system, remaster the music but absolutely match the notes and instruments of the SNES version without deviating. It's not that complicated, we don't need revamped battle systems or even voice overs. Although the voice overs would be helpful, we really don't have to get THAT intense and I think that's the big problem. We don't have to go THAT crazy with cinematics either.
I think making 6 in a realism spec like they did with 7 would be amazing and I would definitely play it and be super excited. However, I would probably enjoy playing it in a 2DHD remake even more and would gravitate towards that for playing, but would still like to see the realism version. They just need to do both, such a hard decision.
I think a realistic 6 would be amazing. The only problem is I don't think it would be popular enough to warrant the price tag it would take to develop it.
@mexmexican8619 The filler content does not. Let me clarify, I'm not talking about the character development. I'm talking about fetch quests that inflate the game. Like wow, I'm totally nostalgic about selling air filters in the OG game.
@zabuuplayz yeah, Ghibli style fits IX the best. But I don't know how it would be possible to make work something similar to FFVI's art style...but I can dream
Good question. I think it's gotta be HD2D. I love the original sprite artwork, and I think it'll look amazing in HD2D. We got a glimpse of it in the opera scene of the Pixel Remaster. Looks fantastic.
JUST PORT the GBA version over to the PS4 PS5 switch instead WITH The same cheats as the PIXEL remaster including the PR way that the Veldt works as well.
@ Probably along the lines of what SE did with Trials of Mana although with the CT tb battle system instead of action.. I’d think FFIX remake would also be quite similar to this.. It’s just what I envision
Cell shaded with art inspired by the Amano original designs would be awesome
Or 3D models styled after Dragon Quest VIII, Phantasy Star Online - the first one, or Tales of the Abyss.
@whitewolf3051 More anime like? Might work
I didn't know I needed cell shaded ff6 until I watched this video!!
Thanks my guy, we grindin out here.

Honestly I'll take the same style that we got for the DS when they remade the other ones

I think they said making FF6 in realistic style would take longer than the FF7 trilogy to make. If that's true, the costs would be enormous.
How about doing FF6 in the style of Tales of the Abyss with boby proportions seen in FF8 and onwards?
FFVII R is multiple games because they inflate the experience w bs. FFVI R could be done in one go.
You are 100% correct!!!
Watch out for haters...
Bullshit. The character development makes it necessary to split up.

A 3D version ALA FF4 on Android and Nintendo 3DS.
Realism. No sprites. But dont use the typical FF hairstyles.
Use the drawings found in the original booklet, box and primo product for the game.
It would be the most difficult to recreate and make it work...
But imagine FF6R with something akin to the style of Amano....and without censorship.
I honestly think it would look really great similar to howls moving castle. I would even go to say it could be applied to FF9 even more than 6.

@@DeIanB86 Right there with you fam, I think I am tired of the realistic style, need something more vibrant.
HD 2D gets my vote.

I think both FF IV & VI would be perfect for the HD 2D style.. That said I don’t think it would be a fit for let’s say FF IX & Chrono Trigger
@@Mintcar923 what style do you think they should go with Chrono Trigger if they did a remake or remaster ?

@@Mintcar923 I would love to see FF9 in the Mana art style. Ive been playing visions of mana and the art style would def suit FF9.
HD2D please. Realism sucks.
