Hi I know this video is years old do you know where I can get that sprocket retaining clip from I have just bought a ds250 2009 I can't find much info on them my front sprocket has been tacked on I need the proper clip hope I reply thanks from the UK
Sorry I have not been on my channel in a while. I hope you found a clip. Other than ordering from a Can Am dealer I don't know. I am sure its a listed part.
No. Dropping a tooth on the front sprocket gives it more torque/power. It will not make it go faster, but it makes it get to top speed faster. The stock DS250 does not have much low end power, putting a -1 sprocket on the front helped. Easier for doing wheelies and burnouts.
Good video. Quality of the camera was terrible couldn't see one thing you were doing. I am stuck right now with the front sprocket not being to slide on, if you had better quality I would have been able to see what I was doing wrong.
Sorry for your inability to see as good as you would like. I did this late in the night and decided to make a video of it. In the future I will keep that in mind and get some better lighting. I did just watch the video and had no trouble seeing it, maybe my computer screen is brighter... I dunno. But, I am unsure why you can't get the sprocket back on because it is the exact opposite of the removal. I hope you got it sorted out after :)
Nice video. Well explained. I'll try to do that on my ds250. Old Honda bikes XR500 and XR600 have compatible sprockets. Regards.
Cool, thanks
Remove the red spacer out of the carburetor slide and you'll get more top in more power
I have sold the DS250, Thanks for watching!
