    Just got the first couple of mods I'm going to install in my stick. I got new Swana buttons to replace my Hayabusa buttons and they came with these silencers. I'm going to pre-installed them before putting in the new buttons. Thanks for the video.

    Dude....I purchased these "mats" from a friend, and he told me I had to remove the buttons...not so, I thought...now, THANKS TO YOU, I CONFIRMED THIS NONSENSE. Great video, great contribution to the fight stick community. FAR OUT AND SOLID. THUMBS UP

    I always rest my fingers on the buttons and try not to raise them too high above the buttons so as not to have to hit them hard, otherwise the sound will be too loud. When I hit the same button all the time, I don't take my finger off it and it's quieter than if I used these foams. So it depends of your playing style ;)

    Soda fell in one of my buttons and I have to replace the washer and wipe the inside of the button well. I wish I could reuse the washer.

    Hi Hasteo, just like to ask will these washers drastically change how the translucent push button looks like when washers have been placed? coz im really planning to get these washers to reduce the sound but i also like to install the translucent buttons. Thanks :)

    Nice vid!!! Wow, you can hear the difference! I just got a Mayflash F500 for my daughter to learn Street Fighter but the square gate is very loud. Is there a foam silencer for the joystick?

    • @dh3s1
      @dh3s1 3 года назад +1

      It is actually the 4 switches in the joystick that make the clicking noise. You can buy silent switches to replace them but there will be some soldering involved. Alternately if you mean she is just riding the gate very hard at its limit then this should ease up over time as your daughter learns the stick. It's been a year since your comment so hopefully that is the case ;)

    How do the silencer-modded pushbuttons compare to the Sanwa OBSF-S silent buttons? Would you happen to know? Trying to decide between buying silent Sanwas or just buying silencers. Please let me know. Thanks! Great video!

    • @Hasteo
      @Hasteo  8 лет назад

      Thanks bud, unfortunately I wouldn't know. But if you look at the construction of the OBSF-S they literally have the same looking foam washer in them. I would think they sound roughly the same? Maybe look on RUclips for OBSF-S sound tests and see if you can find anything on them. There must be a video out there.

    • @jey12345
      @jey12345 8 лет назад +1

      Hasteo Thanks for the reply! I conjectured based on a couple different videos (including this one) that the OBSF-S and the FA silencer inserts produce basically the same effect in terms of sound dampening. However, I read in the review section on FocusAttack that the inserts are "squishy, but less than the Silent Sanwas". I figure switching from the standard OBSF-30 to a silenced version will require some time to grow accustomed to the different feel. Did you encounter an adjustment period like this?

    • @Hasteo
      @Hasteo  8 лет назад +1

      If you played on your Sanwa's for some time then the adjustment will definitely be there. Because they do not have the audible "clack" feedback, it makes it feel really "squishy". This will also depend on how hard of a button presser you are as well. If you don't mash your buttons a lot then you'll adjust quicker then if you were a button masher. Either way, it works great a dampening the sound and you will eventually get used to it.

    Can these be used on Kuro buttons? I have a Hori RAPV4 and my parents are driven crazy with my button pressing.

    • @Hasteo
      @Hasteo  8 лет назад +1

      +NinjaRed5000 I'm not sure they are advertised to be used on Sanwa/Seimitsu 30mm buttons. They are pretty cheap so I guess you can order them and see if you can somehow make them fit. www.focusattack.com/silencer-sanwa-seimitsu-30mm-foam-washers-8-pak/

      @NinjaRed5000 8 лет назад

      +Hasteo Some say its compatible, others say I might have to snip off the small tabs on the side, but that won't affect the noise reduction at all. I'm definitely gonna order these and try them out. Hopefully my familly will stop lecturing me on loud noises.

    Bought a bunch of these. They suck. I had to DOUBLE them up to make them decently silent and then at that point the buttons are super mushy.
    The Sanwa Gen 2 silent button with the rubber plunger is MUCH better than this simple (and sucky) fix.

    does it affect the feel?

    • @FenixPajarito

      It does, they become stiff, and you're gonna lose velocity if you play fighting games that require a lot of speed in the buttons I play Kof 2002

      Hey dude i am planning a project to mod my Madcatz TE2 into a Hit Box/Stickless controller and have faced a conundrum. I have no idea where to procure a replacement 'Metal Button Panel' in the new Hit Box button layout i will be using. as someone who seems seemingly involved in modding your own stick, i dont supposed you know of any suppliers or specialists for this sort of thing huh?
      Any help and advice you can offer will be much appreciated.

    Will these inserts affect the input response time from the control to the game?

    • @DanielRodriguez-kl1ls
      @DanielRodriguez-kl1ls 7 лет назад

      and do they still require the same amount of force to push down? Or is the force required increased?
