Loved your video…Your drone footage is incredible! I just hiked this trail last week and it was the most challenging/rewarding hike I have completed. I set out to do it in a day, I went NOBO and the last 4 miles was much more technical than I expected! From Cold Mountain north was completed after dark…started at 5am and finished just before 10pm.
Looked like you had a great thru hike. The Art Loeb is such a fun trail! My gf is looking for a new framed pack. How do you like the granite gear perimeter 50?
We absolutely loved them. There’s a ton of adjustment on them. They are versatile. And for a framed pack they came at a pretty reasonable weight and price. No complaints!
I’m so glad I saw this! Watching you two is like watching a younger version of us! I have the Granite Gear Perimeter and we have the REI half dome tent. We are planning to do the ALT the week of April. We are SCARED!
