Sir your voice is just wow, I love your style of teaching very much. If I had a biology teacher like you in my locality may be I had gained interest in this field.
Ha! Thank you Rita Tarafdar! Glad to have you in our learning community! Glad you like my style! I have lots more to teach and share! I look forward to hearing from you! I always answer all questions.
In the past week, I have taken 2 walks on a local trail. I've seen bloodroot, Dutchman's breeches, trillium (red and white), a bald eagle, a muskrat, and several snapping turtles. I took many pictures and enjoyed the fresh spring air.
Thank you! I think it is interesting that within two or three hours after pollination, the white petals all fall off the flower. The leaf with its curvy nodes keeps growing all summer.
Thank you! I wanted to know how to identify bloodroot and your video is showing exactly what I needed to know. I want to be able to identify each precious plant growing in the little forest behind our house. Thanks!
@@natureatyourdoor thank you. Right now is too soon, we have a lot of snow still covering everything, but this year, I want to see the plants as soon as they will come out, in some weeks (Québec). I will check your videos.
Sorry school has been rough on you! Glad you are back here !! I look forward to your comments as you follow me from winter to spring. I am building a van into a camper and do more habitats!
@@natureatyourdoor it's just the work piling up . I'm bio student and a lot of stuff that the school teaches isn't really interesting and it makes me loose interest in the subject . Coming here just reminds what a wonderful world bio truly is and what I can look forward to if I pursue this field . The material is great but most teachers focus on scoring rather than presenting the material in a fun manner . So I thank u for reminding me just how fun the world of bio can be .

I’m quickly becoming a big fan of your channel. Your energy and enthusiasm are great. I’ve already learned so much from the handful of videos I’ve watched so far.
Hi Stephen...i have been on the road for the past 6 weeks and somehow lost track of many of my comments! Usually I reply in a day or 2 apologies! So pleased you enjoy my work and knowing and hearing from, people like you TOTALLY energizes me and you will see me smile in next video because I know you and others are engaging me! I often feel like I am on "live"!
This video was added to my interesting by others playlist. I also subscribed so the videos have another way to find them. I saved one from a construction project (zone 7). It survives 3 years now in zone 9a on the shady side of a tree.
That is very cool about the survival of your transplant! Thanks for sharing your success story with me and viewers. Have you checked out my Wildflower Playlist?
@@natureatyourdoor I have seen some of your videos all well produced with good information. My garden is evolving some native some transplanted and some culinary. I hope to make 80-90% perennials that feed or cure ailments. Bloodroot also stops bleeding in deep cuts according to a verbal source I know.

I just discovered your channel and I'm really enjoying it. But the French's Mustard with the label reversed in your video intros is something that I can't figure out. Would you mind sharing the significance of this, or maybe a link to a video that clarifies it's significance? Thanks
Ha! Yes! I was referring to the wild mustards that are prolific and most visible in the spring with bright yellow flowers. I have several older (lower technical quality episodes) in my plant playlists!
Thanks Anthea Mazer! Comments like yours mean a lot to me! I am hoping to continue to feature the spring wildflowers as they emerge. Possibly adding a new weekly video called..what is blooming today! Thanks for taking time to comment!!
