Morning De-Icing Operations

Here’s a quick video for anyone who’s never seen the de-icing process before! The temperature was 36°F and the pilots decided to take precautions and request de-ice. We did our inspection prior to pushback and found only condensation. Worth noting it was the only plane that requested de-ice at the airport during the entire day…

It’s fun if there’s no wind. It becomes a coin toss when it’s 14°F and 20mph wind with active snow. Not to mention the gloves they give you have zero warmth so I always sprayed my hands (with gloves on) to stay warm.
