I have a little suggestion: in the last part of the video you show that is possible to change from “more space” to “zoom” on the secondary display. Choose the zoommed option, you’ll se the entire ui on the second display and the interaction way will be more and more easier. The one you showed us is completely broke, it doesn’t show dock bar, battery status and windows are not well sized. This is a bug with certain displays, especially the one with less than 4k resolution. It is a known problem, so they will fix it in future betas.

Proper External Display Support finally!! Feels like this feature has been added a year late, but Apple is on the right track. Now the last thing I need to complete forget my Mac when going out is if they can add XCode support also. One question, can you turn off iPad screen and only use the external display i.e. dock mode?
Quite curious how the front camera behaves on stage manager. With previous iPad builds camera used to stop working. This will be a game changer if we can take notes or browse web while on zoom, any experience on this with iPadOS 16?

Needs proper external drive management (eject, format etc.), I don't know why Apple has overlooked this or whether they really want people to use iCloud. It's a small thing, but if you can't do that you still need to rely on a Mac/PC to format drives, and a device that isn't fully standalone isn't pro in my opinion. Android has had that functionality ever since USB OTG was supported.
It just seems that Apple is hell bent on making the iPad OS a SUB PAR working environment. What feature is really PRO that ipad OS 16 is really giving us? It’s not quite useful as an iOS functioning device and it’s not anywhere nearly as useful as MAC OS! The iPad Pro line has become the bastard child that is ignored of the family. At this point, I see the iPad Pro line as nothing more than a glorified and expensive tier of iPads. The hardware is awesome, but hampered by an afterthought of an OS that can’t deliver on a hardware platform that can do it. I’m done! I just sold my 2021 iPad 12 Pro because this year’s iPAD OS is still shitty and Apple refuses to listen to their Pro based users.

Only the 12.9" mini-LED display get Reference Mode

The iPad can do 90% of those things. But you will require a magic keyboard like accessory to make it work.
