I’ve fallen victim to wanting to watch more and more of these videos!
Awesome job fellow Canucks!! You guys and gals are the Finishers!! Hopefully, knowing Mike, there will be a third pedal.
yeppers
"Three makes we", I like that!
Young Cas is learning how to do body work properly when following Blair he’s very precise 👍🏻🇨🇦
Blair is a artist with a paint gon, and a master at body work and fabrication. You rock Blair.
That’s going to look amazing
🇸🇪😏✌️Hello from Sweden and wonderful to see that all are included in this exellent pro work. Cassidy doing a great and stunning work she's so awesome ☺️♥️Everyone Good luck with this beautiful car project, you rock guys ✌️☺️
Just a hi out guys! Glad to see Cass is fitting in quite well, hope she becomes her own at what she loves best and goes far! Commend you all on a good job! Green is nice.
This is great information!! Blair could you explain gun technique a little? Mainly on picking up where you stopped previously on the panel so you don't have buildup. Thank you and love the channel!!
Excellent suggestion. I'll try to do that after this car or maybe sooner if im able to
So proud to see young Cas working a real job. She is doing such a great job. We need more young people to get into fixing up old cars and getting a trade that will keep them financially free hopefully for life.
It's good to see. I don't know about America or Canada but over here in Australia its actually the Lowest paying trade we got plus it's hard Yakka. You want the kids to be financially free tell them to be electricians 😂 if they love cars they will do this trade
A big hello from Lynwood California Mr Rasta blasta you have the frame, body and paint A team on your side 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼I love the color the gentleman took to you in this video hope and wish the Malibu gets that beautiful color. And a big hello to blair and cass as well
Ok I won’t take up much more of your time I love all your videos from the beginning Rasta blasta, rust valley restorers, and last but not least rust bros official
Blair is one hell of a body & paint man his work is excellent. Working with Cass makes a excellent team she also is a excellent bodyman (lady) Mike you got one hell of a crew your very lucky guy to have these people. A big thumbs up from me loyal fan. Love watching all the vids. Keep up the great work guys!
Possibly the most famous car in Canada right now..Bravo guys..it was a blast watching it rise from the dead to where it is today..Blair's expertise is second to none..a master at his trade
looks good with primer you should get a automatic capachino macheine with takeaway cups for the crew instead of going to the servo all the time would be good to watch the light blue corvette get restored
i whould go with a brun reddish wine color with a little purple in it instead of those greens... i think those green are ugly .. my opinion but you are the boss :)
Great colour choice.👍👍to Mike, Cassidy and Blair, for bringing the old girl back to life.
Wow awesome job that well most definitely get u on the cover of the rolling stones for sure love the color
Sure is a lot involved before getting a car into Paint. Awesome job.😎
Man, I love watching the progress on this car. I was thinking a green color before the guy brought the sample. Good work, Blair and Cassidy!
Paint it the same color as your Chevelle.
Awesome work Awesome team great show
Perfect colour! Thanks for posting! Fun banter.... tic-tock though.... fingers crossed!
I love this build can’t wait to see it finished amazing!
I would pick the same color.
What a flipping mess
That is a great girl right there.
car looks to be coming along, cool video as always
Your suspension and my Tshirt order stuck in customs! Hah (only provincial and North of 60 borders) 😅 I must be Beefy ta boot
Just my thought I'd put that 383 she would haul @ss, if you need a back seat driver I'd like to volunteer tell lots of jokes. Opps saw a 10 bolt axle better use 327 that 383 could wreck it.
Creating less carbon to fix, renew, than it would take to create a new sub compact.
And seeing what Edison Motors, out of Merritt, they have a RUclips page, is doing with hybrid e/v's, converting older models, we don't need to destroy what already exists.
The older gentleman that was my neighbor had an early 70s chevy nova he use to brush paint every few years this color
I liked the 66 - 67 Body a lot more morel
A nice Red, like what Mazda is currently using, is what I would have chose
But it is not my Car
Yes thank God for Cassidy. The car looks great. There is a federal election coming up . I say Blair for Prime Minister if he could run the country like he works his magic in the shop Canada would be in great shape Mike you should take Trump's job.
That looks awsome!! So cool!!❤
What color are you painting it
I wish I had some of Blair’s & Cassidy’s talent. Great work u guys
Mike,, your vocal chords could use some WD40 my man lol
Blair is awesome 🤙🏽
Yes the 3rd is it
You guys should check out the paint and clear and all their products from the coating store. You could save huge money.
Oh man, I love ‘grumpy Blair’. The man is hilarious.
Blair your details to perfection is brilliant....you need a raise.....ha
Yeee Yeee!
Nice lines Blair & Cassidy!
Certainly a few hours into this one, certainly looking straight, thanks for sharing, all the best to yous and your loved ones
That’s a lot of filler.. do any metal straightening beforehand?
Nice work, gents, and of course, Cassidy! 😉
Brake "pads" ??? Come on, Brake linings or shoes to us old timers😊
When is that 68 Roadrunner going to be finished? Why the delay?
good paint pick
I would go with the more green one, had a 76 lemans and that green was beautiful!!
i would choose candy apple red and finish it of with some nice 19 or 20 inch alloys
Hay If yal dont get the car done in time. Do the flintstone styale Cut a hole in the flore board and drive it with your feet.LOL
That 4+1 Evercoat you are using year's ago Dopont made a primer called ura primer you sprayed 2 or 3 coats after it drys you block sand it cover up to 90 grit scratches it worked great then thay discontinued it. Always when something you like thay get rid of it.Car looks great 👍 can't wait to see it finished 😀
Pinky yellow color ?
Blair is a top notch body guy !
Mike what you going to do with that other convertible, red car under the tarp
Mike what you going to do with that other convertible, red car under the tarp
U need to be a grandmaster Panelbeater to get them lines straight !
Next car put an Art Morris chassis under it.
Question for Blair, I always sprayed hood, roof and trunk from the middle to the edge to keep from bumping into wet paint while leaning in. Of course we were using the old enamels that needed buffing anyway. Do you spray edge to center to keep a 'wet edge' for when you switch sides? It's been decades and I'm not familiar with the new paint compositions... I thought I was pretty good at repair and paint, but didn't stick with it long enough to become a master at it like you... Mike should give you a raise, maybe a step-stool... 🤔
I usually start at one side of the hood and work my way across and down the other fender. There isnt a right or wrong. We dont argue with success 😃
BLAIR makes fabrications happen THAT OTHERS CAN ONLY DREAM OF. WELL DONE TEAM. REALLY GOOD WORK!!
I have been doing paint/body for 50 years and a good chunk of that I was completely sold on EVERCOAT products. WELL NOT ANYMORE! Last winter I leaned back with my butt on a quarter panel I had used their polyester primer on underneath some expensive paint and it shattered like egg shells. It was zero degrees outside so everything is more brittle when cold but this is trash to shatter and come off like this-never again. People laughed at the old lacquer primer from the past but it won't do this.
What abt making Matt wear a gopro on his head?lol
Hi Blair, I thought vinyl wash primer was excellent to use on bare metal to prevent the beginning of surface rust. Rol Nice job everyone. Take care. Rol
Vinyl wash primer was an excellent product and used often in collision. In restoration work its not typically used
So I want to know what Cassidy listens to when she has her headphones on
good choice on color. Volume on music much better
Great video, Happy b-lated father's day to all the father's. Nice work Blair and Cassidy. Nice color, it is going to look Amazing
shame that avery told mike to sell the feild of dreams cars
pick a color you're keeping me in suspension
Great video And a question for Cassidy I also must have music to work just wondering what are some of your favorites from your playlist
Green Apple metallic was on early 70's Chevelle's that would be sharp color with black or white interior.
Blair is the man does he have any cool old cars of his own
Naw have to take that dog link for the first test drive ae link... he's 1st 😂😂 not Blair sorry Blair the man whom did the work 😂.. naw love yah guys and girl.
Awesome work guys
I never had any family growing up. Thank goodness for big Uncle Blair and big Uncle Mike. 🙏🏽
It’s like watching real life Krass n Bernie!
Blair can make things better looking than most shops with clean and expensive facilities.
Hey Rust Bros Lyle from Saskatoon sk in the building
Oh god not butter nut yellow or maroon
I like resale red , victory red
I think you were going to paint it green so I’m happy and it’s beautiful color
Mike you should pay Blair and furnish his paint for his car for doing you such a great job
Paint it Quasar Irid Blue
I like your video of cars
NO GREEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That color is beautiful. That car's gonna be sick!
Love your show
Evercoat on Evercoat off !
That car is gonna be stunning in that color green! With white interior... chefs kiss muuahhh
I would go gun metal Grey, make sure to add the pearl for that blueing affect in the sun. Then do matte black for rally stripes.
Or go green as you have done, shame, Chevy should never be green, Mopar, yes, not Chevy.
What Chevy was ever painted in green that became a collector car? Maybe, the one off yenko with the white interior! However, no Chevy of any value or collector quality, especially during the muscle car era was green. However, your car and your choice.
Blair is very intelligent Guy. All respect for the Guy. As Long he's been doing This.why hasn't he made a guage by now for his body gaps ❓❓ this isn't meant to bust his balls. I'm just curious and asking a legit❓❓
Great question. They vary a lot. Lower mopar door is an index finger. Vertical gaps are a 1980s yard stick. Convertibles are slightly bigger. Hoods are even but mostly split the difference. That being said maybe i should made a keychain of various thicknesses 👍
Exactly Blair and Thx for responding my friend.i admire your work and thank you teaching Cas with a the Right know how. a standard gap on doors would be ideal for Certain make and model.i would have a peg board with labels saying if don't fit it's gonna rub the paint off these door's. bc you know yourself and how many mils you put on. I'm a welder for 33yrs and I have jigs to make same product over and over. I build Custom mufflers for a living and my competition is flow Master magna flow etc etc. so I know about competing against the world.well you don't have That bc you're Great at what you do Sir much respect Sir 👊👊 How about putting Mike to work. Would love meeting you 1 Day 👊👊
@@ofnaguycarlwatts8602good day. All three of us are flat out racing to the finish. I wouldn't bet on the making the schedule lol
I thought this car wasn't getting painted. or was it a different one ?
Do you have the paper work. Done on the car also license plate for it that takes time
every car running out of time can we get a car where thers no time limit around here
Great team 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Regardless.
Doesn't have to be perfect just has to be practical.
