    Sir do A1C varies with age? Also i keep reading that Pharma companies are reducing the level so that people are asked to take diabetic drug. These drugs over a period of time reduces or destroys liver function and you end up taking higher doses. What is your view

    • @dr-arvindkumar
      @dr-arvindkumar  4 месяца назад

      1.No Hba1c doesn’t varies with age.
      2.Hba1c targets are same for many decades.No diabetes medicine damages kidney or liver.Its high sugars that causes damage.

    Hi Doctor, my question is my fasting glucose is 100, but my Hba1c is 6.2 and it says the estimated glucose is 123. How is such a big difference between fasting glucose and estimated glucose from Hba1c. I rely more on the fasting glucose, as I am not following any tricks before going to the test, and my previous PCP used to rely only on fasting glucose and never asked for Hba1c. By the way I am 75 years old.

    • @dr-arvindkumar

      Post meal sugars also contribute to Hba1c.Indeed other sugars like post lunch and post dinner do affect Hba1c.

    Doctor,
    Randam blood sugar of 140 mg/dl is considered as normal which means if I take my blood glucose test at anytime in last three months and my random blood sugar is 140 mg/dl, then it is normal. Then why 3 month average blood glucose of 140 mg/dl is derived and converted in hba1c as 6.5% instead of 5.7%. Kindly clarify.

    Dear Doctor,
    Thank you for ur video explaining about the Hba1c and it's impact on patients.
    My Hba1c test taken last month end, the value is 7.7
    Previously, it was 6.9 during the Hba1c test taken 3 months before.
    But, I'm on diet as per doctor's advise and also following all the required details as per the advise. Regularly doing my morning and evening walks fir about half an hour to 45 minutes. Not consuming white rice, white sugars, sugary drinks, sweets etc. I'm wholly depend on millets and eating enough vegetables.
    Also, I'm taking ayurvedic medicines only.
    May I know what would be the max. Hba1c limit for my age(70 yrs)?
    Is it ok, if it is 7.0 and beyond?
