Plant Cells vs. Animal Cells: Compare & Contrast!
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 13 июл 2024
- Plant and Animal Cells need to tackle many of the same problems in order to survive; maintaining homeostasis, protein synthesis, passing on genetic information, cell-to-cell communication... the list is long! But how do they do it? Which strategies are the same and which are different?
This animation shows you the function of plant and animal cells at a middle school and high school level, and discusses organelles such as the nucleus, nucleolus, endoplasmic reticulum, ribosomes, golgi apparatus, lysosomes, mitochondria, chloroplasts, centromeres and centrosomes
0:00-0:22 Introduction: Plant and Animal Cells and Organelles Compared
0:22-0:47 Maintenance of Internal Environment: Semi Permeable Membranes
0:47-1:05 Genetic Information: Nucleus and Nucleolus
1:05-1:23 Creating Proteins: Ribosomes, Rough ER, Smooth ER
1:23-1:53 Moving Items: Rough ER, Smooth ER
1:53-1:59 Similarities between Plant and Animal Cells

Ok 👌 :)
I have a Science exam tomorrow and found this really helpful, thanks!
I'm studying for a test and this is super helpful! Thanks a lot!
Glad it was helpful, Silver Fox! What year are you in school and do you have suggestions for future videos? I’m always collecting info on this stuff so I can make my videos useful!
No problem BOGObiology. I'm in seventh grade and I think you might want to maybe a little slower when explaining but besides that it's really good! Good luck with your future videos!
Thanks so much for the feedback. I'm always looking to make my future videos better. Let me know if you have suggestions for content topics as well. Good luck on your test!

Thanks! Sending best wishes from Boston
This was helpful for my Bio test and quiz
Thanks, Wolfy! I'd appreciate it if you'd share with your classmates, and I'm sure they would, too! Good luck studying! -BOGO
Thanks
BOGObiology dude this literally saved me
Bro I have a quiz on this on Tuesday. How do I memorize all of this and a lot of other stuff?
And that, my friend, is the age old question... "how do I remember all this"?. I always found making diagrams for myself and my students was very helpful, and the diagrams were actually the forerunners of a lot of my youtube videos. Somehow, the act of drawing and labeling helps me remember complicated ideas and make connections. For simple, straightforward things like vocab words, I found flash cards more helpful. I wish there was a solution that worked for everyone, but unfortunately there isn't!
If you end up finding a study strategy that works for you, I hope you'll share it in the comments so other students can try it, too. Good luck! -BOGO
Hello may i use this for a presentation me and my classmate will be doing in school?
Janaquino8 Of course! Just cite your sources appropriately! Good luck!
Thank you!
I have Biology Final Exam so that was pretty much good 😊
Thanks, Serkaddis! Sending love and best wishes from Boston! -BOGO
Love the video
Thanks, Ghulam! Do you have suggestions for future videos? I'm always looking for new ideas. Sending you best wishes from Boston! -BOGO
@@BOGObiology welcome
Try to speak slower
Tnx ma'am
Thanks a lot my textbook was not helping at all. Bravo BOGObiology😊
Thanks, S K! It's my pleasure; I enjoyed making the video. Happy studying and hope you're safe wherever you are in the world! -BOGO
Many thanks for the video! Just one thing, you tend to give a lot of information in a short amount of time, so maybe make it a little slower. Besides that, great stuff! Thanks much!
Please heart my comment ;)
Very true; I try not to have the videos go on and on and on because then people can't get through them. I highly recommend using the pause button! -BOGO
I have an exam tomorrow. Wish me luck!
Good luck goes out to everyone writing exams in the future
Sending you good luck wishes from Boston! -BOGO
good luck uu

@BOGObiology please make a video on cytoplasm cytoskeleton and other organelles
Your new subscriber By The Way...
Ooooh! Good suggestion! I'll add it to the ever-growing list. Love from Boston! -BOGO
Are organelles membrane-bound?
Yes, that's a core part of the definition of an organelle.

@@bottybot1133 You're quite welcome
we are learning plant and animal cells at our school
Nice! It's interesting stuff!
😊
: )
i still don't get it where is the chart?
4:45 Plants on the left, Animals on the right, both in the middle. It's way, way too big to all fit on the screen at once.
i have a bio exam tomorrow :(
You've got this, Qveen! Sending you good vibes from Boston!
Love, BOGO
How was it?
sAME WTF
What grade is everyone in
I watched this
I am in elem school and my brain has just exploded...this will not all be on my SOL, right?
Hi there Adam, this is DEFINITELY not meant for 5th graders! I created this with high school students in mind. I'm based in Boston, so I'm not very familiar with the exact questions on the Virginia state tests, but your science teacher definitely would be. For sure ask them what they think you should study. Also, questions 1-9 on the website below cover the same stuff as this video but at a middle school level. www.solpass.org/science4-5/cells/quizzes/framepage1.php
Hope this helps and don't forget to eat breakfast the morning of the test! -BOGO
Wait, you figured out both that I am in VA and 5th grade? Observant!
What can I say? We teachers are really clever like that!
Spoiler: the state test is only called the "SOL" in Virginia, and the only elementary school students in Virginia who are tested on plants vs animals are 5th graders. (Second spoiler: You also originally posted "I'm a 5th grader" in your comment, and RUclips notifies me whenever something is posted or edited!)
Out of curiosity, I checked the Virginia standards it looks like you're officially responsible for knowing the following organelles: Cytoplasm, nucleus, cell membrane, vacuole, mitochondria, chloroplasts, endoplasmic reticulum and cell wall. Don't forget to check in with your science teacher and feel free to stop by this channel any time!
-BOGO
This video is basically for school and no one in the comennts '' maybe a few'' would enjoy this srry if i am being rude
"This video is for school". Yup, thanks, Captain Obvious.
ДЛЯ РОДИНЫ
You have very helpful information but Your talking way to fast it’s hard to keep up
Thanks for the feedback! People used to say I talked way too slowly so I tried to change it, but it sounds like I went too far in the other direction! I recommend throwing on the closed captions and using the "gear" icon to change the speed of the video and also making use of the "pause" button. Sending you best wishes from Boston! -BOGO
Hello class of 5th grade this is Genesis Rodas Please use this as a private chat
Edit: This was hard to understand
It was helpful but you talk too fast.
Thanks for the feedback, Palak! Will definitely work on that in future. Do you have suggestions for other topics? Sending you best wishes from Boston! -BOGO
your very soft
Hi Edrich, is it not loud enough?
bogo ko biology :'(

Really you had to refer to drinking an alcoholic beverage! Can NOT be used in school! Big Failure!!!
Sorry you feel that way.
