    Though I'm not an e4 player, this opening has really good lines. Would also recommend having a repertoire for the Evans gambit if opponent plays Bc5 instead of Nf6.

    I recommend that viewers download this video and replay it slowed down i.e. at normal speed. Why Mr. Blitz thought he had to speed it up explains why he only has 2k and a bit subscribers. Nonetheless the content is good quality and I will experiment.

      Watch ChessPage1’s video on the Evan’s gambit. Takes a bit to remember all the lines, but once you do, it is such a fun opening to play.

      @@lifeselllifesell9211 After rook takes e4, black responds with bishop e7. After knight takes d4 the engine says the position is -0.19, which is a slight advantage for black. How is it good for white? Giving away the advantage as early as move 10 is not a good recommendation.

    With Black I like playing the Dutch or Pirc Defense. With White I hate all these E4 openings as the opponent never does the stock moves and I get trapped. i still have to find my opening in white.

      Black just plays Traxler counterattack or Polerio defense. The most horrifying one is Polerio defense because white literally can never castle (your king gets cooked if you do), and also white can make many blunders against the Polerio defense and Traxler counterattack if black has actually learned the ideas in them.

    I don't see anything wrong with 5 .. Nxe4. After 6. Re1 d5 7 Bxd5 Qxd5 8 Nc3 Qd7 9 Nxe4 Be7 10 Bg5 0-0 and black has equalized with a good bishop.
