    Great video. Yanmar builds some of the finest equipment out there. They literally invented the compact Diesel engine and the mini excavator. However, Yanmar needs a better marketing department to advertise the capabilities of their equipment. After watching your video, I would describe the Yanmar’s iHMT as more efficient, stronger, and customizable alternative to Kubota’s HST+. You get two customizable modes per range (similar to the high/low per range Kubota offers) that are toggled via push button on the loader stick along with auto throttle, throttle boost, and cruise control. My money is on the Yanmar putting more power to the ground due to the mechanical metal-on-metal transmission vs a HST. It’s encouraging to see the introduction of the new YM series indicating that Yanmar is here to stay. Somebody really needs to do a Yanmar YT vs Kubota Grand L smackdown demonstrating ease of use and ability to put power to the ground. I bet you’d get a lot of views and spark a lot of discussion on the tractor forums if you did that in an unbiased way. Best regards.

    Thanks for a great detailed pressentation. I am going to save the video to use as reference when I get this tractor. I wish I lived closer so that I could do business with someone as knowledgeable as you are. Thanks again, Paul from Texas/ NOTE: After researching the location of your dealership I found I am only 65 miles away. I will be coming to your dealership in the near future and we will do some business. I look forward to meeting you.

    Hey Nick, nice tractor. To make your video even better, actually take the tractor outside and operate it. Wear a Go-Pro or something like that so we can see what buttons you are pressing while the tractor is doing stuff. Unfortunately, just "reeling" off the capabilities of the tractor one after the other makes for serious mental gymnastics. Plus "showing" us how the tractor performs is much better than "telling" us how it performs...

    3300 pounds (limit) to the rear hitch at 0.32. Is that tongue weight or transmission limit on towing a load? Can you pull a trailer weighing 5,000 pounds for example?

    • @prequipmentsales
      @prequipmentsales  Год назад

      It’s the lift capacity of the 3 point hitch. It’s not related to towing capacity. However if using the 3 pt to move the trailer, the tongue weight must be under 3300lbs.

    How is this superior to the Kubota Grand L series which has H-DS (Hydro Dual Speed) and no shuttle? Even an electronic shuttle is one more step an HST machine doesn’t need to take.

    • @prequipmentsales
      @prequipmentsales  4 года назад +4

      Tyler I'm glad you asked. To be fair I wasn't really familar with Kubota's new Dual Speed as most of the Kubota trades we get are standard hydro or mechanical so I did some research. In terms of control there's several similarities. However, the nature of an integrated hydro mechanical transmission vs a pure hydro transmission makes it more efficient. For instance I compared the Kubota L4760 to the Yanmar YT347 since they're both considered 47hp tractors and its the closest comparison I have. The Yanmar is 85.8% efficient vs the Kubota at 80.6%. On top of efficiency Yanmar's power train warranty is nearly double at 10 years vs Kubota's 6 years. Thanks for the question.

  • @user-ft3oc7ks9z
    @user-ft3oc7ks9z 8 месяцев назад

    Do you have to push down the clutch to switch direction either the electronic shuttle?

  • @bearupfarm1818

    Nick you don’t tell how complicated the transmission and the cost to fix it when it breaks. Probably same as the price of the tractor.

    Those front axles beefy or junk? Wonder how long front end would last doing heavy front end loader work across ruff ground....curious. nobody has really talked about the front end strength. Yeah it can lift heavy and trans built for loader work, but is the front end axles really built beefy enough to hang huge weight going over bumpy ground.

      Can’t say we’ve had an issue with them. Better not because Yanmar Warranty‘s them for 10 years.

    Need an answer from someone that has a YT model. I recently picked one up and the dealer fills the rear tires. There is a shutter to the tractor traveling on a hard surface that my previous YM model did not have with the same tires (minus the fluid). Is a moderate vibration normal with fluid in the tires, or is there something else going on? The dealer claims it's normal...go figure.

      @@itsmancini can’t be a flat spot. If so,…he would feel more of a “bounce” as he’s going down the road. He said he has moderate vibration since his tires are filled with fluid. If a tire is filled with fluid, it doesn’t flex as much compared to just being filled with air alone.

    How does third function work on a loader valve

    • @prequipmentsales
      @prequipmentsales  2 года назад +1

      I’m not 100% sure what your question is. A third function provides an auxiliary set of hydraulics on the loader to run attachments such as a grapple or auger. There are two styles of third function valves. Live third and diverter style. The factory Yanmar option uses a diverter valve which utilizes the tilt hydraulics which are diverter to the auxiliaries. A “live third” is able to run the auxiliaries independent of the tilt function so you can perform all three functions at once.
