- ** SEE PINNED COMMENT FOR AIRCRAFT IDENTIFICATION **
Over 30 different airlines and 20 different aircraft types featured here! If you're looking for heavy aircraft, landings, takeoffs and super HD planespotting, I have the video for you. Morning to evening, this airport is home to a tapestry of nations, airlines and airplane types from destinations near and all over the world.
This video is a compilation of highlights & cool catches arranged in no particular order that were filmed on 8/2, 8/3 and 8/5 of 2014 at Chicago O'Hare International Airport KORD / ORD. Includes many specials, heavy aircraft, mainline jet airliners and clips from all hours of the day. The big airliners are always my personal favorites and in this video I was able to include a Virgin Atlantic Airways A340-600. Haven't seen one of these (one of my favorite aircraft) since 2012 here at ORD so that was pretty special for me.
A big THANKS to my 65,000+ subscribers! Here's a video filled with many wonderful aviation sights and sounds to express my gratitude for all of the support, comments, encouragement and friendship from all you who love my videos.

Hey jay its me (again) what camera do you use for plane spotting
My 1year old loves these videos. She says Bye to every plane lol
Great to hear! I know there are quite a few young girls and boys that watch my videos. Hopefully it inspires them at a young age to do great things when they are older :)
@OHAREAVIATION you definitely inspired me
❤❤❤
I think we gona have a pilot!
When I was about 5-6 years old in mid to late 2015 I remember watching this video on my dad’s desktop. I believe this was the first aviation video I have ever watched and it has brought me sooo far. I’m currently a massive aviation enthusiast and have been one since I watched this video in 2015. This video has brought me SO far that I will be starting PPL training in the next few months here in Canada. I just want to say thank you so much Jay!
You just made my heart going wild .... filled with the emotion of seeing all the big planes landing.
I did work for an A/L back in 1970 for 7 wonderful years.. I just loved the whinning sound of the Jets . They are so Majestic going up up in the air. Thank you so very much.
I will cherish your video.
sergio gobniskeb Very glad to hear! Thanks for watching 😎👍
My nephew is only six and he is obsessed with planes. A video like this is gold to him. Thanks for sharing.
Wonderful! Dreams start young and blossom into careers someday. I wish your nephew nothing but the best!
My toddler loves watching this video.
Thanks to you and your toddler for watching!
Very calming to watch. I've always loved going to the airport roof or gates just to watch planes.

Dang I love this video. I subscribe to about 20 plane watching sites. Thirty three years in the AF, and plane watching never gets old. I was at KCI/MCI a month ago watching planes the night before a flight. The Airport Police ran me off. He said, "Since 9/11 we can't have people watching planes land". But hey, we are free in the US of A. Great site, thanks a bunch.
Thanks for watching, Trebor! Yep, it's gotten out of hand at some places but I find at some bigger places like ORD, L.A. and such planespotting is a recognized and growing hobby like it should be. This nation is way too scared of flying these days.
I am astonished by your so exciting compilation at Chicago!!
Thank you for sharing!!
Thanks, my friend! Always love adding your recent uploads to the daily zip-around YT. lately I've been very busy and haven't been able to comment but I always try to watch and hit that "like" button for my friends. :)
I always watch this 50 minute video since I was a toddler. I was like 1-4 years old when i first watch this. I always love the Cessna Citation land. Good old days…
I love all the 747s -400s, -8Fs, mad -8is . Amazing variety.
Thanks, man! I love this airport for the airplane variety.
This is the OG plane spotting video. The first plane spotting video I’ve ever watched.
Thanks for watching!
We have to admit that this is one a really good video of planespotting.
Your work is impressive! Thank you for sharing with us.
Thanks for watching!! Glad you enjoyed it.

What an oddly specific and small-demographic pleasing video. Very interesting.
Excellent videography, well done! Some really smooth landings there especially the Hainan 787. The Aer Lingus birds could do with a repaint, they look pretty faded! Very enjoyable viewing for the best part of an hour, many thanks for sharing!
Thanks, Mr. sham-Rock! I always love to include those EIN birds.
Fantastic Video. Thank you and a Happy New Year ;) thumbs up

Thank you so much for putting this together. This has made it so much fun to prepare my three year-old granddaughter for her first flight. :)
12:36 Most beautiful aircraft ever built. Nice Video!
Thanks 4 watching!
Doge Bomber true, and some extra added length. I just always likes the A346. However, my comment is 5 years old and by now I kinda changed my mind and think the Queen of the Skies is actually the most beautiful plane ever built. Still love the A330/340 family though!
Wooowwww!! Nice switch at 8:00! Perfect!
THanks! and yes, the fence can be annoying but at the time this was the closest you'd ever be able to get to a active runway in the U.S. at a major international airport without having to go thru security. The location is closed now though.
Jay's O'Hare Aviation & HD Plane Spotting That's a shame that it is closed! And yeah, no doubt that location is amazing! The important thing is that the planes touch down before the fence! \o/
Bernardo Odenwald
true. glad I got what i could before its closure. The reason? Some folks vandalized an littered excessively and the private-property owners didn't think they should allow visitors anymore.
Jay's O'Hare Aviation & HD Plane Spotting Oh, yes, there are always jackasses to ruin things for those who care! Assholes are everywhere!
Bernardo Odenwald
yep. hopefully when the construction is done on the east side of ORD a new spot will present itself. :)
Hello friend, I'm from Brazil (São Paulo) and work in a Brazilian airline TAM called, am passionate about airplanes and your videos are great. Congratulations ... very good indeed. Strong hugs his brother and friend wing.
Thank you for watching, Paulo! I am happy to see many people from around the world come to watch my videos. Chicago and Sao Paulo are great cities and I wish TAM would start flying here soon. :)
I love your videos, I am happy you got to reach your dream to work for a airliner. I am from Illinois and on March 24th I am going to ORD to DCA (washington D.C) I love your videos and holy cow, did you know that over 1,000,000 people watched this video. Anyways, keep up the good work and safe and happy travels.

Just wanted to say you did a nice job on capturing these beautiful planes!!! I especially like how you always showed the threat reverses! The technology of these things just amazes me and watching them work never gets old. Thanks for sharing!

I'm addicted to FLYING and COMMERCIAL AVIATION...for I don't believe there's anything done by Man that demonstrates pure, unadulterated EXCELLENCE and what POSITIVES Man can accomplish working in-concert with consummate professionals. Such Beauty and Elegance...defying Gravity... Really quite extraordinary! Miraculous!!
It truly is one of mankind's greatest achievements... so complete in fact that we now consider leaving the ground commonplace.
Awesome video as always! I love your work, and congrats on 9000 subs. I am going to be in Chicago in October and I was wondering if you had any advice for ORD or MDW spotting. Any words of wisdom from you would be greatly appreciated. Keep up the great work! :)
Thanks for watching! O'Hare and Midway can both be pretty tough. I am not too familiar with good spots at MDW because i don't go there that often but there are a few. talk to my friend joseg2143, he also has an excellent YT channel and has been there more than me. ORD is better. Add me on facebook at facebook.com/animalstyleaviation and we'll talk.
Jay's HD Aviation & Plane Spotting Alright thanks- I probably will stick to ORD. Our hotel is close by and MDW is in a pretty rough part of town. I sent you a friend request on a Facebook. Thanks!
Again such a perfect compilation! Your work is awesome! :)

THNX, Mr. DA!!
I liked how you had the plane in there banking and the bird standing on the light pole
Sheri-myvideos i do like that shot 😎 worked out great
This is really good spotting, no wind noise, and atc:)
JayPilot Thnx for watching! some people do or don't like the ATC feature.... for me it's hard to get it to work reliably so I don't do it much anymore for the most part. As for the wind, that can be challenging. I don't use very expensive equipment for this channel (even though in future I may) so for now I have to minimize it as I can and work with what I've got. I appreciate the feedback.

Very professional landings. They make it look easy when the weather is good. Good job.
Oh by the way, could you get a ladder next time to avoid all the fence and barbed wire in
the video. Ask and you may get clearance. Thank you, Jay!
Or they could put up a photographers nest on scaffolding or platforms above the top
of the fence line. Show the people at O'Hare your great work on RUclips and they might accommodate all photographers with a roofed nest but open to jet sound audio.
Thanks 4 stopping by! the ladder would have to be very, very tall as i am standing on a barrier five feet off the ground as it is...
