I think it's still possible, it's just more risky of death.
If you combine Hu Tao and Furina, I also recommend bringing 1 healer in the party to fill Furina's Fanfare. Like changing Sucrose to Bennett/Jean.
For now I don't think it's too bad, playing Hu Tao even though his HP is above 50%. You can see many of his preferences on RUclips.
