All my love and respect for everyone sending love and sharing their experiences. I just wanted to say that there will be a TTS TOP pt 2! Thank you so much for welcoming me into the fandom and for encouraging me to stay open, especially about the heavy topics in this video. You have no idea how much that means to me.
Welcome to the clique 💛 we're happy to have you
Ooh I'm so excited!! I feel like you'll really enjoy a bunch of the older songs from Vessel and Self Titled
the way you described the concepts of the songs was so eloquently said, i’m looking forward for part 2 :D
Awesome! "Friend, Please" by Twenty One Pilots is one of my favorites! You gotta listen to that too!

Him having a mental breakdown at Neon Gravestone was literally the whole clique when we heard it for the first time
Honestly the only song I don’t have downloaded because it’s way too sad to listen to. It’s a great song for sure. It’s just way tooo sad for me to listen to on the daily. I def recommend the song tho because it’s beautiful

Don't get me wrong, heathens is alright and stressed out is great, but I think they got too much attention compared to lots of other songs. But I'm glad hey got recognised, there's more people because of blurryface
But seriously though, the clique really needs to get Neon Gravestones more widely known.

Right? That's easily my favorite song on Trench. It's very heavy, but it's so perfectly nuanced.

Rebecka Denaye thanks
“Did he break up with someone?”
Me: YEAH HE BROKE UP WITH US FOR LIKE A YEAR.
All joking aside, the song is about apologizing for leaving but saying that it was needed for them to go on. Tyler and josh are honestly the most wholesome beings. They love their fans and their fans love them. It’s an unspoken relationship between all of us that exists. We are Twenty Øne Piløts and so are they.
I'm pretty sure the song was about the song writing process and what songs mean to him
He IS WHOLESOME.
Also heathens is basically Tyler telling the fandom to accept new people because at the time they were blowing up
Or it's about having friends that don't beileve in God?
@@ekoms108 if you want to interpret it that way that's up to you but I'm a TØP stan and Tyler literally says that the song is him telling the fandom that has been with them for a long time to embrace the new fans that began to follow them once Blurryface reached mainstream success like that's literally it. Fandom acceptance.
@Timberly Blowme firstly, I'm not arguing. There's no hostility in any of my responses. Secondly, I wasn't asking about your personal interpretations, or anyone elses. I said previously that however you wanna interpret the song is up to you. What I was telling you was what the actual writer of the song says it's meaning is. What you do with that information is up to you, but his initial idea for it's creation is that.
HOW DID I NOT KNOW THIS
@@ekoms108 how'd you come to that conclusion? Sounds like a smartass question but I'm being legit. Other than Heathens being the name of the song, I personally don't see it, but like it was already said, music can have many different interpretations. Just genuinely curious.
It physically hurts me when I see bill upset; but it also makes me so happy because it shows how empathetic and compassionate, and how kind he is.
:')

I think its worth mentioning for Neon Gravestones that Tyler, the singer, took a long time to write this thinking about how people could take the message and rewriting it over and over trying to get this message while not condemning the people and making people feel inferior because of this. When he finally did get this song to this point he even checked it with Josh and when Josh said it was good thats when they put it in the album

Truce is literally the best

The moment I saw neon gravestones I was like “Honey this is gonna ruin you”
First of all, I want to say thank you for your commentary and just how freely you wear your emotion on your sleeve. As a man who fights a lot with toxic masculinity and society's expectations for what and who a man should be, seeing you just crying about music, in this video and so many others, really reminds me that I don't need to be as guarded about those kinds of things, and that if something moves me, let it. So, thank you for that reminder.
And thank you for having such a wonderful, beautiful take on everything you experience? You seem like such a hopeful person, and I was really inspired and in awe at just how thoughtful what you have to say and how all this music makes you feel and just how you really explain those things. It's deep!
Your takes on some bands with deep messages makes me think of the band Grandson! He has a lot of songs relating to the things happening in the world today that really hit hard but are really good. (Particularly "Thoughts and Prayers", "War" and "Bills")
You would cry SO HARD at Fake You Out which is my favorite Twenty One Pilots song. It also hits a lot on depression and it has so many relatable things in it
That and I feel like Guns for Hands would make him cry as well, and Friend Please.

Stephany Alcantara and guns for hands!
expecially the Ode To Sleep music video as it really epitomises their journey from tiny concerts in front of a couple of people to sold out arenas
Chlorine is about how his artistic process and how it’s like “Chlorine” and how his lyrics help cleanse and clean other people of their problems but he has to get him self in a self-destructive place that can hurt him for these other people.
“WILL SMITH?”
it was meant to be from the start
Chlorine is about Tyler creativity. Having to feed it and create new content.

As soon as he said neon gravestones I'm was like "nO!"

Your reaction to Neon Gravestones is exactly my reaction for the first time i heard it too. I'm kinda smiling cause "yeah, i get it" but also I can't read those lyrics without crying ugh
It's too real man...
I usually replay it twice when tunning through the album. It was the first song I memorized from Trench.

See, someone finally gets the message told in this. One guy reacting to a song by them says something when the lyrics go, Thank God it's Friday cause Fridays will always be better than Sundays
'Cause Sundays are my suicide days", and the dude responds saying, "I'm not sure if hes saying he kills himself every Sunday." But he was being legit, not a joke, and they went on hiatus for like a year and a half to think about neon gravestones and other things to make sure it was PERFECT! Just someone who understands what people go through and what the message is is amazing. props to you man.
"further engraving an earlier grave is an optional way"
"woAh"
that fit the song so well
The whole time I was just screaming YEEEESSSS on the inside. Because you just GET the message. Man, you're a beautiful person!

also neon gravestones is much sadder knowing that Tyler's grandpa died. The last words just hit so FLIPPING HARD
Ikr? I cried a lot listening to that one the first time and while I haven't cried while listening to it since (but it's become one of my top fav songs on the whole album) it's that last little bit that almost gets me Every Time
OMG I LIKE DIDNT EVEN THINK OF THAT IM SAD NOW
Dude and legend makes me cry when he says he looks forward to having lunch with him again 😭😭
@@kimoralashawn3273 it's the saddest part of the song :(
Same and legend
the monster guy in Chlorine is Ned, it represents Tyler's demons and I love your reaction to this. it makes me so happy to see others understand the lyrics
His demons? I thought it was us and the chlorine is his music. That's certainly the way it is for me. Hmm! Why do you say Ned is his demons?
Ned is his creative process and the chlorine is the fuel to his creative process. As you can see in the video his creative process takes ALOT of fuel and the fuel is not healthy for him at all.
No Ned is a house cat that they just bring along
Fun fact: in the chlorine mv, when josh walks past the camera at the end, he was drenched in water, but it wasn't necessary bc you cant see that his pants are wet. Also I like your wall dude
“Legend” is a very heavily emotional song about mourning a loved one, more specifically a grandparent, way more than neon gravestones.
thats an opinion neon grAVEstones is ABout the glorification of suicide and losing yourself to suicide
Hannah Lettis my great grandpa died last summer of cancer and my mum and I saw tøp in June and that song was amazing live
This song tears me up every time. Especially the "my middle name, my goodbye" line.
Omg imagine he reacted to truce. I cry every. Single. Time. I hear that song and I’m sure most people do
Tim and McKenzie Komorowski yeah i do..
i cri everytim
Yeah no matter how many times I've listened to that song I still cry.
and goner and trees too
Is it bad that none of their songs make me cry every time? Like, I still cry sometimes, but I've never cried while listening to any specific song _every_ time.
The video: mostly serious and honest talking about the music
Also: ohh there's waldo.
I'm dying 😂😂😂
I've watched a couple of your videos today and I'm pleasantly surprised and you're such a good person. I'm proud to be a subscriber from today forward. You're what healthy masculinity is supposed to look like. Be proud of yourself.
YES this is my favorite band of all time! they've helped me more than anyone in every way: mentally, emotionally, spiritually, which has made me physically better.
it took me 10 times for me to finally make it through neon gravestone without crying.
also, chlorine is basically about creativity, which is what ned (the creature) represents. he's trying to appease it and draw it out, and chlorine is a metaphor for something that is harmful if you ingest it but is good in the way that it "cleanses" him, which is what creating music is to him.
fun fact: i was one of the people in the hype music video!!
i highly recommend you check out their trench trilogy in this order: *jumpsuit, nico and the niners, levitate.* it's the concept story of their most recent album which ties into their previous album that was based on the character "blurryface."
other good songs to react to are: guns for hands, migraine, and kitchen sink.
im really glad that you liked them, even though they're huge and successful, i still feel like they're underappreciated. they get a lot of hate for being "pretentious" or as some dumbfucks say "they're glamorizing mental health" when, as you saw from just neon gravestones alone, they couldn't be more wrong. really enjoyed this and i look forward to part 2!
lana. Thank you for this
First off, you were a one bus clikkie?? Lucky. Second, absolutely true. The story gives it a whole new level of meaning.

Damn... loved your honest reactions to Neon Gravestones. Kudos to you for being open and willingly to get vulnerable.
So many people are commenting that you need to listen to more of their music, so if you do make a part 2, PLEASE listen to Tyler's live version of "Chlorine" where he plays the piano. It's an entirely different song that way!!
that version of chlorine is soo beautiful
Sorry to ruin 69 likes but I 100% agree
I was so stressed when I saw the title, haha. I adore twenty one pilots and so many people don't like them.
You should watch some interviews - I love their music, but Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun are so lovable haha
Also - they're friends! Best friends, lol. Tyler (the singer) was the founder of the band, and Josh (the drummer) didn't actually join until after the recording of the second album.
Also also - if you EVER get the chance to see them live, go for it! Best live shows ever.
ALSO ALSO ALSO - They weren't famous at the time of Stressed Out, haha, that was the song that made them big.

Ned represents his creativity and having to feed it all the time
So it’s like starter dough. You gotta feed it for weeks to get that bread... well, sourdough
anything from No Phun Intended or self titled , Tyler was 17 - 20. The suicidal songs hit even harder now honestly
Listen to smithereens. It’s one of the happier ones. It won’t crush your soul. The beautiful soul crushing music of TØP. It’s a gift to the world.
Actually it might. Tyler's love for Jenna is legendary and perfect. Everything he'd do for her? I don't think Tyler even knows.
Barb Wired I feel like smithereens is a song that sounds really happy, and the message in the song is also really great. The soul crushingness in it is how everyone Kong’s yo feel that way and how we wish we felt that same way or had someone feel like that about us. It’s expressing how he felt so lost before and it seemed like he had nothing to live for, and then he married Jenna and would do anything for her, and how she’s had that effect on him that he has something to live for and risk everything for. And now she’s pregnant so we might get a song about how much joy this baby is going to bring him. And how his life has come together, an evolution from his feelings in car radio to now having a family.
House of gold
Singer: *mentions suicide*
Bill: HOLY SHIT. DAMN. *starts tearing up*
I love your reactions Bill, but seeing you react to dark topics makes me think you need a break and should listen to positive songs more often lol
i’m revisiting this later because i haven’t really found any other channel with caliber of reaction and analysis!
a few weeks ago i was reading about antidepressants and how when they react with your brain they have the capacity to produce chlorine, so rather than it being harmful or some form of self harm the lyrics might be describing how important those uplifting individuals in his life have been in the “antidepressant” sense
tyler writes about his wife jenna a lot, so it would make sense for it to be about her
that article might’ve been absolutely false since it wasn’t from a medical journal but that’s something cool to think about!
I'm so jealous of how true your emotions are. I've never been able to actually understand what my head is telling me. I know how much these songs mean to so many people, they mean so much to me, but the way they affect your emotions is so admirable. I am so jealous of how genuine this is. I want to feel things the way you do, maybe I would be a better songwriter myself, maybe I would be able to help other people more. It is such a simple quality but it's something that a huge part of society doesn't have and this is a necessity, it's mandatory to be aware. I'm jealous that you can.
Second part do Jumpsuit, guns for hands and migraine 👌
Pls make a part 2 so u can finally hear "Tear in My Heart" which is actually one of their more wholesome songs
Would also recommend House of Gold (since it's iconic) and Truce (a personal fave).
GOD TEAR IN MY HEART IS SO GOOD AND MAKES ME UNCONTROLLABLY SMILE
I'm sorry but that shit fucking sucks, it was so obviously made for money. Smithereens is the way to go.
@@DJDipstick hmmm... you can have your opinion, but mine is that tear in my heart wasn't made for money only, they weren't even that big at the time that song was written. Just because blurryface blew up doesn't mean you can assume that a song was just written for the money.
Smithereens is amazing though, I will agree with that, of course :)
@@aliatbest Blurryface was actually very much made for money, they weren't that popular so their record company made them make a bunch of hit singles that would succeed on the radio. It worked, and that's how we got Trench. He needed the money to make more ambitious projects. He touches on the subject of selling out in Lane Boy.
DJ Dipstick you make a fair point, but it’s good music with a great message, so I don’t care that much
I can tell by your reaction to Neon Gravestones that you've gone through some shit and it warms my heart to see how much respect you have for the entire situation. Your take is one of the most honest takes on music I've seen in a long time
I see so many people reacting to Tøp and they just don’t get the message at all but you are so right, this is exactly how you should talk and react like to them. I don’t know you but I love you and this video is one of my favorite on the internet. Thank you, for understanding.
Can you please just react to each album because you are one of the first you tubers in a while that shows just how much you know and understand about the topics brought up in these songs. And I just loved how genuine you really are. I look forward to seeing more from ya.
Yes!He should even listen to Regional at Best, its popular but not popular enough and alot of people don't listen to it because it's not an official album. The songs on their are so good,my personal favorite from Regional At Best is Forest, honestly sad its not an official album
YES! I completely agree! Each of their albums are so special in their own way and it’s so hard to just pick out a few from each one to showcase the whole album
If he listens to No Phun Intended I feel like he’d be very confused at TB Saga

“Oh no”
Hi!
Twenty One Pilots has had such an impact on my life. There were so many times in the last few years where I’ve felt lost and confused, especially when dealing with mental illness. I felt alone in my struggles and like I had no escape. I wouldn’t say TØP “cured” me, but they’ve been an INCREDIBLE source of comfort during these past few years. Tyler Joseph writes most of the songs (he’s the singer) and he has such a beautiful and impactful way of getting these messages out into the open and I often cry listening to their music too. So many artists are afraid of writing about tough things like suicide, mental illness, or personal beliefs. But TOP thrives with these topics and it makes them feel so genuine.
Anyways, that was my rant. I’d love to see you react to their songs Holding Onto You, My Blood, and Guns For Hands!
This is beautiful. We love you, and stay alive! ||-//
