Carol should put you on her payroll. You are the quintessential T-1. You demonstrate that type better than anyone I've ever seen. The difference for me when I look at the old videos was that the T-4 style wore you! Now, you so totally wear the T-1 style and it perfectly supports your vibrant, energetic, optimistic personality. The red sweater with pearls and the yellow sweater look splendid on you as does the aqua you're wearing in this video. Keep doing you! You do it perfectly!

I’m so glad to hear about your T1 /T4 journey!! When I looked at Carol Tuttle’s program I could identify as a T1 - BUT I didn’t like the clothes !!? This bothered me and made me ignore the DYT system. However hearing that you straddle two dressing types deeply resonates with me and makes me understand it a whole lot more !! So thank you soo much. I am also not really into the floral etc. I like solid colour and I like stripe and love polka dots!! I haven’t been able to give up black completely yet but I’m seeing alternatives. My short black leather jacket is still my favourite jacket. - but I pair it with pops of colour. Thanks again - much appreciated!! Love from Deb

I genuinely really like all the clothes you wear since embracing DYT!! I liked what you wore before as well , but I feel you are 'lit up' with the changes you have made! We see you rather than your clothes.
I also love to hear you won't ever be minimalist with your clothes ..... Neither will I !! I love to have variety and change! And why not have several different kind jackets of the same colour ...especially if the colour suits you!! Yay to having lots of options💕⭐️

I do the same in the USA..we have 4 seasons here so I have a few more clothes than I want to, but when the season starts, I try on my clothes and then I decide if I really want it anymore...I bring it to the thrift store...I have been shopping there since I was a teenager...I LOVE my linen in the summer with lots of jewlery!!! I love it! I am a T 1/4 typed by Carol on FB by last month March 21. I just shined my sink today, so I am on day 1 of my Baby Steps. These systems are all about self-care. You are such a sparkling soul.

I’m still feeling my way, and some of your outfits and whatever help me sense even more clearly that I am probably an energy type one with secondary two. I agree, it’s a fascinating process that brings much more than a wardrobe! 💞🧚♀️✨
Love hearing your DYT journey and check-ins. I also was trying to be a T4 but the T1 in me just would not be silenced as a became an empty nester and could let my true self come alive! You find the best clothes and colors. I struggle to find T1 colors but at least I know what to look for now. I would love to hear more how you deal with your T1 nature in your life and cleaning. Also, I’ve been able to declutter many items from my closet that don’t suit my T3 style and am working on replacing them with ones that do. Having fun!😁

I love your style and I think you're spot on. I believe my both of my daughters are a 1 and I'm definitely a 3. My mother is a 4. For years I wore the 4 style and colors. I felt so free from guilt dumping all those black clothes and embracing my love of funky patterns and warmer colors. The dressing for truth really helps those of us who are all over the map in our fashion choices. I could also never be minimalist in my closet.

I can see why Scandinavians settled in Wisconsin and Minnesota in the States; we gave the same weather. Layers in the morning and peeling them off by the afternoons; cold often frigid winters and some steamy summers.
Rewatching this now and it’s funny how much this video is helping me 🥰 i too have a issue with my wardrobe but you are giving me the push to get it together. Thank you 😊

It's been fun watching your DYT evolution. I'm definitely a T4 and I recently let go of some beautiful skirts and dresses that I loved but never seemed to want to wear. They were very T1 and T2 and that's definitely not me. Instead, I purchased one awesome T4 dress which makes me feel amazing. I'm still working out my secondary type but knowing I'm T4 has definitely helped me with shopping! My wardrobe is much more cohesive and it's easy for me to look put together.

My friends say I always look put together. Yesterday someone said I looked like a model(had a spring hat on, too). When you find the right colors and styles for you, it works. Happy spring hygge! Plants all popping up now after cold winter here in N.Y.

As a beautiful woman your T1 energy comes through even more as you dress in those colors. Thank you for your videos & sharing the one with Carol Tuttle which I watched a couple of weeks ago & started following her. I too am a T1 energy. Your enthusiasm just gets us moving. I have to smile & shake my head at myself as with my cleaning & Marie Kondo-ing my closet I donated my T1 clothes to charity shops 😁😳.
I like t4 colors & styles as well as t3 styles so approaching dressing my energy is new to me. New start.

I just wanna say that I really appreciate your happy, upbeat personality and honest straightforward conversational style! And, thank you for introducing me to Dressing Your Truth!! I have been binge watching the videos by Carol Tuttle. I am actually, like you, a type 1 with a secondary 4😂...which explains why I have thought we would be fast friends if we were in the same place. I started watching you for the Flylady system, which has also been a gift. I have really loved having morning and evening routines (now I know why I love the order and structure...type 4). I have really enjoyed your videos! And, I have to say I love the change in your colors and especially your hair. The cute flip fits with the upward movement if the type 1. I think I need to do something new with my hair, too. I’ve always worn it long, but I am beginning to think I need more layers and a bit of flip too or fullness. Anyway, a big thank you for everything you’ve modeled for me!!🎉🎉👍🏻
Hi Diane. I absolutely love the transformation in you since discovering you are T1, so bright and fresh! Pre-DYT you were always so beautifully put-together but the look was so severe, loving your style now. I’m T3/4 so your clothes choices wouldn’t necessarily work for me (as much as I’d love them to!) but you still inspire me every day, both DYT and FlyLady so thank you!

I live in USA and and we had the book “ Color Me Beautiful “
back in the late 80’s-90’s and I loved it, even today my husband will ask if a garment is “ my color” , I’m a Summer/ Winter woman and Silver is my metal. It really makes a difference in the way we see ourselves and how we feel more positive about our clothing choices. You looked very nice in the Spring color of mint in the video😁

I did that too(back in the 80s). My whole closet is still "Summer", and I'm sure I'm a 1/4 too.

I'm a winter in that system, and have dressed accordingly for decades, but definite type 1(which is more like spring colours) This has been my biggest hurdle for using dyt!

You look pretty in that cardigan (and that fresh white blouse underneath is so unique) Even your pillow in the background is all "T1" happy! The DYT system from Carol Tuttle has been a great help to me since you 1st told us about it about a year ago. I wore the mint green blouse with wee hearts & a while cami underneath (my 1st real charity shop find for $5 US dollars) for Easter:) My sister asked me if it was a T1 blouse and said that I looked nice :) I am still second guessing my secondary, going back and forth from 2 AND 4. But, at least I know that I AM TOTALLY T1 for my main energy. I am now reading the Child Whisperer and trying to watch as many videos from Carol as possible. I need to just give in and join the group, even if for one month only. (frugal self!)
Go Diane..keep spreading the word and maybe more DYT ones will come out of the woodwork and bring some more sunshine to Copenhagen. ((smiles))

We’ve been together 9 years and I feel unenthusiastic about getting dressed from head to toe daily anymore. My wardrobe has become boring and drab. I miss the happy fashionista that I was. I am so thankful that you talk about Dressing Your Truth in your videos. I have now watched many of the DYT videos and read two of Carol's books. My past four jobs I was required to wear black...could never figure out why I never felt like me at work and was uncomfortable in my clothes. The black is gone (mostly gone) and I am wearing colour again. I am a Dominant T1, Secondary T4. I feel alive again! Cheers!

The FREE DYT online program really helped narrow down what feels/looks best on me. As a 2/3 the only black I've kept are my workout pants which I'll let wear out and wont be buying more black anything. Thanks to Diane's inspiration I've even painted my black shoes grey!

Hi Diane! Interesting - Jeans are also part of my daily uniform! :-) . But as 1/2 I like to wear a lighter wash. Half of my jackets are now white or winter white. You look great Diane! I've noticed over the past year that you actually look younger! DYT is something I've looked into a few times and can't seem to figure out my type. It's either 2 or 4, most likely a combo. What do you feel helped you the most? The DYT online quiz, support group that you pay for, or one of her books? Thanks so much, you are lovely!
Getting access to the lifestyle videos and binging on them really helped me understand my primary and secondary. I am American and find I can be all or nothing but there is a bit of nuance so if you understand all of the types, then you can understand how you like to incorporate each into your style. Then it is actually wearing things and seeing how you feel.

I want to thank you for posting about the DYT program. I explored the information from Carol Tuttle and I am now on board with this system. I'm a T1 too but figuring out my secondary still. I was dressing so darkly and wrong. Thankfully I'm working the through my clothes and weeding my clothes as I go. This is a process and not an instant change.
Thank you so much for your video. I found Dressing Your Truth from you a little over a month ago. I bought the style Cat and I've had a hard time identifying myself. However I've settled on a 3 and I think my secondary might be a 2 just because Comfort is so important to me. After a lot of reading and watching videos today will be the first day that I used my capsule wardrobe of a type three. I just joined the type 3 Facebook group so I'm interested in seeing how my outfits play out. I'm really excited because this is not just about clothing there's so much more involved in this process very interesting.
I discovered the Dressing Your Truth several years ago, & I am also a type 1/4! But I don't adhere strictly to the guidelines...lol! But I know I look my best probably when I do. I am a clothes horse & am at least going to start paring down. My first time seeing you...new subscriber! I too started a RUclips channel, but had to stop making videos for several reasons, but I am hoping to return sometime in the coming year. I really like your energy & looking forward to more of your videos...blessings!

What do you wear in fall/colder seasons? I find it a bot hard to find type 1 clothes in the fall fabrics and lengths (usually all in type 3 colors)

I love your videos. I've been watching for about two years. Just a quick U.S. English lesson on types of clothing you mention. A jumper is a sleeveless dress you wear over a blouse, shirt or turtleneck (your polo neck, I think). The one-piece playsuit garment you mentioned we call a jumpsuit in the U.S. A sweater is any knitted top, not like a T-shirt knit but knitted from some type of yarn. A cardigan is a type of sweater, an open sweater with or without buttons or a zipper -- same as your "cardie" but it's really a subset of "sweater" for us.
I need to do my DYT process again. I seemed to be a type (can't remember which right now) that is quite dramatic and lots of black. I HATE wearing black! I find it depressing and harsh on me. Like I said, I need to go through the identification process again. Happy Spring to you!

I bought the book bout five years a go and still can’t figure out what I am. I have type one facial features, like you, but hate most of the colors, and get nervous speaking in front of a bunch of people. Maybe I’m a 1/4 also!

It took several months...it's an ongoing process (I still have clutter in some cupboards) but I saw improvements from day 1 of the Flylady system and that gave me hope 🤗

So what im hearing you say is you wear full makeup jewelry while your cleaning . I couldn't do that as I get too dirty cleaning,mopping etc... Good for you... enjoy your channel and plan on watching more.
Hi Alma! You'll find that once you start cleaning the Flylady way, you are cleaning consistently (for short bursts of time) and so you no longer need toxic products. I only use environmentally friendly sprays, and find that I don't need much product at all. Much better for the environment and for you! 😃 I only wear an apron when I am cooking but you may want to wear one while cleaning, if that is a worry for you. I know this is an older post, but I sure appreciate your honesty about changing your mind about your main type. I am facing the same doubts. I’ve taken the quiz twice because sometimes I wasn’t sure about the answers. Both times I come up as a Type 4, but when I see the Type 4 clothes in RUclips videos, I cringe. It’s not me. It’s so confusing. I very much like the colors and styles you are wearing and how you’ve come alive in them, but I fit only a few of the qualities for a Type 1 woman. Sigh.
