I kinda like how this series has evolved from meme FTK's and Twitch jokes about MBT/Farfa to very dedicated savants playing sub-rogue decks at an extremely high level. Love watching them cook
11:51 - The Noble Knights player still would've won if they'd just activated Captain Roland's effect in Grave (which would've triggered Emperor Charles' pop effect). Either they just wanted to be done with the game or they kept toggle off for too long saving it for the last second and failed. (Captain Roland can only be activated during the Main Phase.) The shark player also could've easily won even in *_that_* scenario if they had Kragen in their deck and summoned it instead since its pop is a quick effect.

It was my main stay in the early days of my md games. Danger + sea castrum, banish stuff, then send the moster they spent 20 minutes waffling about straight back to hell because they didn't bother reading.
Mayakashi can do things outside of being the worst at using it's own turn skip trap and Me When Bone Tower, but I guess they just wanted to go through their synchro quest because they did NOTHING.
@@slayinderp7501 You can do a lot, if you *don't* play Mayakashi. Dakki and other good extenders usually lock your Extra Deck, and you can only summon Mayakashi. You better play Vendread, Shiranui, or Synchro Zombies, and you can still summon Yuki-Onna.
@renaldyhaen Do you mean Yuki-Onna, Yuki-Onna, Yuki-Onna, or Yuki-Onna? Remember, only one of them locks you /s. But yes absolutely. Hell, I'd argue Vampire Eldlich has an easier time being relevant than Mayakashi.
@@renaldyhaen You can still play a small Hajun - Musume package if you want, since those only lock you while on field and can be linked off for any of the Yuki-Onna.
1:23 Maybe I’m just too new to the game/bad but I probably would have blundered here too. I see Trishula about to 50/50 banish Magnamhut from my hand I’d probably try to resolve the effect before that happens. If nothing else I get the mistake.
tbh even his start combo was kinda suboptimal. Normally i think you get frog with the search and get georgius or (if in hand) an extender so you can pitch frog with mirror mage. With his starthand he coulda gotten 2 10s and an 8 or 9.
@@dogebertduck2832 The normal ice barrier combo for like an endboard usually goes: Revealer > Hexa > Hexa send mirror mage > grab speaker > special speaker > link reaveler and speaker into coral anemone > Coral revive mirror mage > mirror mage tribute coral summon 3 tokens > tribute coral > synchro into coral > banish speaker > synchro into crocodragon, draw 4 And then ideally you have like a Georgious which you can special since hexa is on field to revive revealer and go into Lancea Or Aegrine to do the same thing, however if you have both you can instead use Aegrine to make Icejade Gymer Aegrine which gives you nice protection The way he did it starting with mirror and george in hand lets you play around Nibiru which is probably why he played it that way, since if you get nib'd, trish is onfield and you can special speaker that way, it's basically just a high roll hand that beats nib and consistenty sets up lancea through basically all disruption
Never expect someone will play "Noble Knight" Sea Castrum in this game, and that Shark deck is also great. This is peak cinema. I can say, Sea Castrum is one of my favorite Xyz. . Btw, it is crazy that Tenpai can still high chance to win the game, if he use his brain. He can hold Magnamhut in hand, hopefully isn't banished by Trish. Dora in hand, add Chundra, and the crazy top deck Sangen Kaimen. Sometimes I feel Konami helps Tenpai players and give the best top deck as possible, every time.
I don't think it would have mattered tbh; let's say they were just dead cards, right? Daimax could've just kept them in hand for Crocosaur to pop whatever the Genroku summoned.
Limit one always brings out the out of the box thinkers. Man, that was a good duel. Also, Taelios not wanting to play along with Redmage's Santa game feels like salty behaviour.
That atrocious Warrior pile made me think : Just how many of this game's so called festivals were actually interesting and not just disheartening OR boring OR Konami blatantly pushing sales of new selection pack in shop? Out of the 25-ish festivals so far I personally found only 2 of them interesting. [the original legend anthology & Theme chronicle that happened January & February of '23] MANY disheartening abominable ones like Labrynth fest [Fiend vs. Fairy] , Floo fest [1st extra zero fest] , both Limit 1s [pile gaming is YuGiOhs lowest point] , most '22 fests that had no extensive banlists and were stun central and the list goes on. All specific summoning types fests are boring & uninteresting AF , and another decent fest that never did repeat was the N/R fest. Overall pretty underwhelming.
That noble arms duel was peak cinema. Maybe best duel I have ever witnessed. It cured my dying wife and birthed my firstborn.
This is true, I am the firstborn

Can't believe Shark vs Infernoble would be one of my favorite duels this year

One thing to consider though: that was a Tenpai player and is thusly undeserving of sympathy

Having a brainless tenpai player as an opponent helps...
just will your trishula to deal enough psychic damage that your opponent hand loops themselves

Can someone please explain to me how any effects worked in the "Imperm column" from time stamps of 14:35 to 18:14 in this video OK???
The only imperm effect that negates monsters is the target one, the column negation works only for spells and traps
