MD syndrome. Players would rather shotgun Maxx C, turn their brain off, and just hope the opponent quits.
A simple Toggle on and they could have gone CL1 Shifter, CL Maxx C/CL1 Shifter CL 2 Droll.
Yeah...literally anything would have been better than being smooth brained like that
They were sort of correct on their play, Shifter wouldn't have done anything except mess up their own turn and Droll would have turned off Maxx "C". Their biggest mistake was thinking they would survive the turn and under that assumption, it's better to hold the Droll.
I don't blame them for working with the knowledge they had. It's a rough call.
@@Gamemaster13000Wtf are you saying? Weather painter thrives being under shifter and you can even use it during your opponents turn. If they had shiftered, silver's cry wouldnt have been available. Also you can literally chain maxx c after shifter and he wouldve still done better.
@@justamuartI suppose that's true. Can't say I know how weather painters work. I can only guess what they were trying to play around since I don't want to assume negligence.
The losses are always so much better. You know for sure that something Outrageous happened for it to still make the video. Glad this didnt disappoint.

The true BM card: you can only target It for attacks and would die upon impact, but your opponent can just negate that shit anyway to win the other way
If Master Duel always stops loops at the 16th iteration, and the hot potato always starts from the opponent's side, doesn't that mean it always dies on your side and therefore this version of the loop doesn't work?

Bit of a mix-up from chat, infinite loops from mandatory effects in MD stop at 11, not 16 (you can see the Benkei switched sides 11 times). 16 is the limit for chaining.
Shoutout to the first duel and cards ive never seen or heard of so im sure he made them up turbo.

That Numeron player is my freaking hero. I tried making an Unchained/Numeron deck back on EDOpro, and because of my terrible deck-building abilities it never amounted to anything. I'm so happy to see someone pull the idea off when I couldn't.
Major props to the Torpedo FTK duelist, too; I'm glad that Aero Shark's anime effect survived in some form, and watching it be the focus of an entire strategy is a treat.

I think my favorite loss of mine was a drytron player that made the deck specifically to summon pair-a-dice smasher to basically cut off any plays I could make. I’m pretty sure they had 3 smashers in extra and like 2 other cards there and that was it. I’m not even sure they had rituals in the main deck.

Is it really a 50/50 the last one? I'm genuinely curious. Because if what Danny says that it stops at 16 effects is true then it would always explode in your field.
I assume the sub didn't know that the number was exact, and thought it was a random amount of repeats before the card gets popped. That, or they did the math wrong and thought it would end on the opponent's field.

I absolutely love how pointless the last replay was, wonder if they knew MD would stop the loop but still did it anyway.
Thing is, according to experimentation on MD chains, the guy could have garanteed it blowing up in the opp's field by increasing the chain link by 1.
They surely did, but probably lacked the critical information of what the exact number was. I'm assuming that they thought it was random, and learned it wasn't afterwards...
Or they did the math wrong, which is also likely.

@@lampsonmcstand6150 Wouldn't chaining a shrink to the archfiend equip done the trick? The loop isn't a chain link but the game destroys the "problem" card by log order so maybe the odds can be manipulated that way.
The loop is counted on resolution it will always remove the loop variable on its 16th iteration

If the Benkei goes boom due to anti-infinite programming in MD on the opponent's side the opponent takes all the damage.
