I had the procedure two weeks ago today by the good doctor and team at Advantage IR Austin. I believe I'm beginning to see some relief but it may be too soon to tell. Unfortunately, he was only able to do the right side because of tortuous arteries on the left side. We'll talk again in February to see if I've had a good enough outcome to try again on the left side. Would Cone Beam CT be helpful in getting through the left side tortuosity if I decide to try again?

Cone beam CT does not help navigate tortuous vessels. Fortunately studies show no difference in average symptom and flow rate improvement when treating from just one side compared with treating both sides.

I had a PAE procedure done on me on April 5, 2021 at UCI. They did it on my right side of the prostate and could not reach the left side. I am waiting for them to order a Micro Catheter as they suggested to do the other side. The aim of the PAE is to shrink the prostate uniformly , hence opening up the uretha. So at the time being, I am waiting for the scheduler to call me for the second or left side procedure.
I am still going to the rest room between 8-9 a day, so I'll wait and see what happens after they have done the left side.
      Take care.

It's typically done via telehealth to see how you're doing and how you are feeling at that point. We have a 1 month and 3 month post op appointments.
