I'm sure you've heard already. But Bloddied started in 4e where you could activate or use special powers when you, an ally, or enemy went below half life. That's it, half life or less. It was also useful so you could tell when an enemy was below half HP.
@@B00Radl33 Ohhhhhhhhh right okay yeah no I've never had anyone use that as a rule I always just thought they were using the same description. Woops!!!
I'm sorry to see that there's still no Scribe. In 3.5 I had 4 artificers One with all the over a hundred scrolls. Another with tons and tons of healing potions. A third who just was decked out in all the magic weapons. And my last just gave all the magic items to the party and should have just stayed home. I never did get to make my dual wielding wand guy.
Armorer was the strongest with 2014 rules, but with 2024, the guardian got nerfed because dual wielding is fully locked behind the light property and the changes to sharp shooter means you only do 3d6 for the infiltrator. UA 2024 Guardian is better than the 2014 guardian with 2024 rules, Infiltrator is worse even with the damage bonus because you could tag multiple enemies who all can be hit with advantage and you could deal each of them an additional d6. At best, the infiltrator can do guaranteed 2d6 per hit but you cant tag 2 or 3 targets for advantage hits. The dreadnaught is just base armorer with a reach weapon that can push and pull who gains a fly speed. The whole size thing doesn't add anything mechanically, enlarge does provide you advantage on strength checks and saving throws and an extra d4. Then the DM has been primed by 2014 rules to consider your weapon as part of your armor so you can't "infuse" your armor's weapon because they didn't explicitly state that. That said, having mind sharpener as a ring lets you "infuse" the armor to a magic armor. So now you can have mind shapener + adamantine armor and keep mithril armor as a known plan for you to change when you need to, which was utility that never existed before. The other positives, vicious weapon is a rare weapon that adds 2d6 to every damage roll which makes every artificer extremely potent and you could also take helm of teleportation and get access to teleport 3 times a day.
@@bryanthiga3198 I love this post. You're 100% right but I absolutely loooove the class fantasy behind it. I don't really play D&D like a computer game. I'd rather have good class fantasy and be weaker than be op and basic. But that's the beauty of D&D right? We all get to play how we want and you can chat to the DM about making it more fun and accessible. I super appreciate your reply! Love the passion.
Haha fair enough, personally I never really used it much. I used it once to make a stone that smelled like chocolate but that was about it. What Subclass do you like?
@RastovsNDragons I'm playing a Battlesmith that's Warforged so I could get as close to Armorer as possible. Full Plate just couldn't beat the Defender. Especially when I already had a ghost companion my DM lets drive it like a mech suit.

They nerfed the heck out of tinkering and tied its uses to right tool. My artie uses tinkering constantly.
Edited to switch in PG-13 language.

@@ralphtiff8559 Dude I love that idea. Ive also floated that idea! Man I miss playing an artificer.
I dont like it, its boring and the early features are soo weak imo.
Also, disappointed by the alchemist.
10 yrs and thisnis the best tbey got?
@@vincentbrancato5146 fair point! I havent had a chance to play it yet but I still like the changes. Always want more though of course.
