Thank you ! This oil change video for camry helped me a lot and I got encouraged by watching it over and over again! I bought all the tools and wrenches and oil, washer, oil filter, jack lift, jack stand altogether! Finally I tried my first self oil change and it’s well done! Thank you once again for recording this video and I appreciate sharing your know-hows!
It looks to be between 4000-6000 based on the color but if you do changes before every 5K (assuming you didn’t treat it like a race car) you can easily change it every 5K and increase the longevity of the engine. If you’re waiting for it to turn black you’re already late and causing sludge to form in the engine which will eventually lead to failure. Don’t wait till the 10K that’s advertised or you’re going to be replacing the engine between 100k and 170K miles.
Great video! The only thing I would add is to recheck the oil level again after starting (1 minute) and shutting off the engine, because the oil filter filling up will cause the oil level to go slightly down.
He mentioned nothing about the crush washer for the drain plug, when I bought filters from the dealership it came with a new crush washer I’d replace this every time I change the oil
FYI, Mobil 1 makes the Toyota oil, so just get the Mobil 1 0-W16 synthetic oil (5qt) and you'll save $20+. It's the same thing just repackaged for Toyota.
Thanks for the nice video. I have a corolla hb with 8nr fts engine 1.2 lt turbo. I wonder to know is it compatible to use 0w16 oil? Toyota advise 0w20 normally.
Hola amigo como estás?? Yo prendo el motor por 12 minutos y luego dreno el aceite para que salga la mayor cantidad de aceite y de ésta manera me aseguro que el motor haya quedado más limpio internamente.
great video! I love how you shows us. I know this is stupid question.. how often do you recommend to change engine oil for Toyota camry 2019 ? My mileage is about 23000. I know Toyota says every 10000 miles or every year. but some local experts says every 5000 miles. I'd like to know your opiniton
@@andruc2758 Yes, I am very serious. This car is a first where literally the entire underbody has plastic covering so that literally none of the frame is exposed. The only ones plainly visible are the jack points for the car jack which is not the same as the floor jack for what lifts the car. Don't get upset over, it was just a question.
Dear Rick, you will need to be very careful . There is a spot in the frame that you can jack the car from. You should jack the car from that spot only.
Been running nothing but 0w20 on mine , not really a huge difference between that and the 0w16. Hard to find 0w16 and it’s usually double the price of the 0w20. Haven’t noticed any economy or power difference.
How often needs to be changed the oil? Went for the first service to the Toyota dealer and they told me it’s every 10,000 miles, not every 5,000 miles ????
They say that but honestly bc our engine is small it’s just better to change it more often like I live in AZ so these temperatures play a factor too I believe or that’s what I was told😭

@@AliMECH well if people stop buying small bottles then they will produce less bottles. Also these bottles contain oil that is classified as hazardous and is not recycled as household recyclables.
Some places unfortunately do not sell the big bottle ones for the Camry's oil. I know this because I went to autozone and o reillys and they do not have those, only the small ones. It's unfortunate.

So no one runs the engine for 30-60 seconds to check for leaks, then recheck dipstick level anymore?

How many miles between oil changes? Full synthetic
Usually with fully synthetic is 10k
Shouldn't you supposed to use 716 ml from the last bottle? Because if we did the math that will equal 4.5 litters.
Its best to under fill and test because there can be residual oil left in the pan.
