Way more potential FBO for the 550i than the N55, similar power on an N54 almost certainly requires upgraded twins or a single turbo setup, and the 550i would do it with significantly less lag. Sure, they’re heavy but the N63 is an underrated and overlooked tuning platform in the BMW world

I was told that I shouldn't run Map 2 on my JB4 with just a DCI, so I have been on Map 1 for a long time now, waiting on my downpipes, but even then I was told that those mods weren't enough to run Map 2 safely. Doesn't help that we only have 91 here in Cali. Did you experience any problems running Map 2 with just the DCI's? I'm scared I will blow something

i have 13 335i n55 when i had tune only( Map 1 - 12psi) raced 650i and it was same results after 100mph he starts pulling .. now I'm at map 2 ( 14.5psi) and with downpipes.. really would like to race one..

Yeah the 550 is really fast and the 135 + more gas does make a huge difference at least in this car. From what I see on your page your 335i with FBO+Meth will most likely kill the 550 without a problem
I already knew the 335i was going to lose when you put 135 lb passenger in the 335i and 1/4 tank no passenger for the 550i 😂😂 People always have to be explaining in the titles why they lost.
Socal Fritos lol the outcome should be obvious even with a tune if you know these cars. I’m happy i was even keeping up against a car that cost almost twice as much lol. I only put the extra passenger and gas since my 335i didn’t have tons of power so any additional weight really effected straight line acceleration. Once I reached 500 rwhp in my F80 I stopped writing passenger and weight since it didn’t effect my car anymore 🤣
Race a 2013-2014 550 and see what happens. The n63tu motors are strong. That being said I'd rather have the n54... But above that, I'll keep my s85. :)
Map 2 is very aggressive and for daily driving it a little jerky if you floor it all the time. Map 1 on the otherhand is mcuh better and smoother, but at a cost of being slower. if your thinking about making your car faster, just spend around $1,500 on a JB4 tune ($529 with intakes) $450 on a meth kit and the rest on a downpipe and your car will be faster than a c63.
my s4 is definitely faster than my old 335i stock both off the roll and a standstill. With the 335i chipped it would be a little different off say a 30 roll, I think the 335i would pull but from 0 the 335i doesn't have a chance. I think I can beat a stock 335is but ive yett to run into one

With a jb4 you should be close to even with the 550i due to it's weight and they're only 400hp stock i have one and a 335i my 335i is faster due to everything done to it. All in all they're both fun cars to drive.

@@e92mSport it'd catch up to you top end but with a tune you'd beat it it's weight and gearing just makes it slower on takeoff whereas the 335i tuned on stage 1 you'd be around 346 to 354 range depending on what you did to it and weight reduction as well as better gearing for take off. All in all a 335i tuned will just about always beat a 550i stock good race though and fun to watch.
meth is dangerous. jus like NOS. i have 4 kits in my attic. not needed. just lighten your ride, get dp done, jb4, dci and ride out with clean everyday power.
on whos end? lol. the n54 engine in the 335i is actually more underrated than the 550i from the factory. paired with a tune the 335i is no slouch. If i didn't have a passenger and more than half a tank more gas (which is a big deal in these little cars) I would of been pulling him until maybe 130-140

Your not gonna come anywhere close to a c63 with those mods. That 550i I raced got destroyed by a c63 and did abot 3 car lengths before shutting down. Only thing that can help you is meth which I strongly recommend

I have a e90 335i sedan dp's intake jb4 G5 and I do 5 gallons of e85 on 11 of pump93 on my own custom map 6 19.5 on boost and murder just about anything coming my way including srt 392's
Bigger mandingo those are fast but with my my mods the m4 tuned couldn't get away, next I'm doing a stage 1 lpfp and I'm pretty sure I could probably walk. I raced a tuned 15' 5.0 performance pack stang with the roush intake and exhaust and walked away.. from a dig and from a 50-150 roll.. you should go bigger turbos that'd be beast
Jose Gonzalez haha my man you gotta look up some videos of the f80 platform with fbo and e85, they're pulling on much faster cars than a mustang that doesn't have force induction or stroker. On your set up, you would be just a little faster than a stock zcp f80. Without inlets and 100% ethanol, you won't be close to fbo f80. Two of my good friends have the n54 with inlets, port injection running 100% and upgraded clutches putting down 450-500 rhwp and 550 rwtq. That's full bolt on with everything in the book to get to those numbers. I loved my n54 but in terms of speed, it's not close to the f80 without serious mods. The little turbos on the e92 is what kills it up top. This year I'm going to shift sector at poconno's for 1/2 mile races. If you live on the east coast you should come by in April.

I have a dash cam now and will start recording to give proof, against a 370z, e60 m5 the stang, 2009 corvette grand sport, 2012 Porsche carrera 4s, challenger 392 and charger 392, tuned Hyundai gen coupe, m3 e92, 2010 Camaro ss, and on a dig a camaro zr1 to 80mph I won.. a stock f10 m5 was side by side.. so idk what was up with your friends e90 maybe it wasn't tuned right (shrugs)
like I said, your at stock zcp f80 1/4 mile times. I did a 12.05 @ 119 with a terrible launch, and people have gotten faster times on a stock settup. A stock f80 is as fast as an f10 M5 to 120 so it just reiterate where your car is in this segment. My friends cars are tuned to the max, follow drivrmod on instagram with the VO 1M. On my stock map, I got smoked by his 1M without e85 in his tank. Once i put the jb4 and some e85, I started pulling car lenghts on him. Post some videos whenever you get some races in
Very impressive. Don't forget these 550i engines are beasts. BMW claims 400hp, but they're really much closer to 440hp.

My 550 xi feels like a highly under-rated 400 hp.
I have the DCI and a resonator delete and Map 2 put a lot of pressure on the Fuel pump and its starting to fail, but it never went on limp mode.

apr has the strongest tune with a pulley upgrade for the s4, I like stasis and giac but they are more conservative

You should do 3 gallons of e85 8 of pump 93 map 7 and the 550i is history
