This video was really good. Your questions covered a lot, your answers were thorough and genuine but not exhausted, the clips of other students’ experiences in their respective dorms was also very good. I’m USC2024 and this video has given me a lot of information that is useful while I’ll be entering my freshman year. Hopefully, I’ll be able to thank you in person one day 😁!
thank you! I will be making another video soon about my application process and MAP as a whole, but as a summary I really love the program and I think when you apply you just have to write essays/create pieces that really encapsulate who u are and what you want to do:)
ahh thank you so so much for making this!! i’m a spring admit for the class of 2024 and this video made me so much more excited!!:) did you request your roommate or did you get a random one and what do you recommend??
ahh thats so exciting!! I found my roommate on facebook! Honesty no matter what I recommend rooming with someone you don't know! I felt better finding someone I knew a little about but its personal preference:)
thank you!! oo good question. I learned to skateboard over the summer, so i'm biased but in my opinion that's the easiest/fastest way to get around. Some of my friends have bikes and they liked it, but also you have to time getting to classes because you have to lock it up (there's also a risk it gets stolen). Some people use electric/normal scooters which are definitely the coolest looking, but it's up to your preference! You could also just walk, everything is relatively close to each other depending where your classes are:)
Most people skateboard, the campus is mostly flat. It’s actually more convenient than biking because you don’t have to worry about locking it and it getting stolen

Nice video! Glad to hear you had a great experience too 😃 :) made a similar video with some fellow Trojans if anyone’s interested in USC wants to know more. fight on✌🏼
hey!! i’m also thinking ab applying for media arts & practices. i saw that you have to complete 2 separate applications (one through the common app and through slide room). do you apply for a separate major on the common app? because media practices isn’t an option on the common app :/ but it the cinematic arts website says you need both to submit.
hey! so yes there is two applications! it's weird that media arts isn't an option.. maybe its a glitch? I'm not sure but yea there are two applications
hi i have a few questions :) when do you start choosing classes? (i’m going to be new to the school and i’ve checked the website but it’s really confusing, like is there a counselor that can help me?) also can you ride your bike or skateboard anywhere on campus or is there certain areas you can’t? what is the earliest you can have your classes and the latest? lastly, this is a bit more random, but how long would you say the walk from like fluor tower to parkside is? like that length of usc? it would be very much appreciated if you could answer these thank you!
hey! i'll do my best to answer:) you should have a counselor through your major who can help you out, if you're an incoming freshman (if things with COVID die down), you'll be choosing your classes over the summer during orientation, which is when you'll also meet your counselor! Don't stress too much about picking classes, they'll teach you everything then. You can ride pretty much anywhere! Some buildings like SCA won't let you ride them within their area but like for the most part and traveling wise you can ride anywhere. I'm not sure on the earliest and latest. I know people've had classes at 8am and other have classes at 6pm but there might be earlier ones and later ones? It depends on your major and what classes you decide to take. As for Fluor from Parkside haha, its just one long street so its not hard to travel down because there's less people. I'm a slow skater so it takes me like less than five, my friends gotten there in 2 minutes on his skateboard. I'm not sure about walking though someone correct me if im wrong but less than 10 minutes? depending how fast you walk? I walk slow haha.
@@alllywei I wanted to ask when did he get his decision for being accepted into the BCA program? How well does USC Marshall or the BCA program give you internships and job placement (after graduation). What is the course curriculum like for Marshall and the BCA program? How does the grading system work at USC?
my major is a bit hard to explain in just one comment! It is apart of SCA and looks at a lot of different kinds of media. If you wanna see an overview you can look at this link: map.usc.edu/
Hi sure! I haven't done much with the career center services, but I can say what I know and if you have any specific questions let me know! Depending on your major, I think different departments constantly email out job/intern/experience opportunities to take advantage of, that's how I heard of the job I currently have. There are also career fairs once in awhile, and info on that is always emailed out and posted. There is also a website you can browse through job opportunities, which I haven't really looked into much.
As I’ve been sitting t home stressing out about USC, these videos have definitely helped me get a better feel for the school. Thank you!

Do you know anything about the Business Cinematic Arts (BCA) Program besides what is found on the USC website?
