    $1700 is much more than what my expenses are in Sweden. I live alone in a 3-room apartment with a large garden. Have no debts or loans. Paying $620 for the apartment and electricity is included, $25 for fiber internet 100/100, Food and beer between $380 and $470 or less. The only thing that would be added if I lived in Bangkok is health insurance, which we don't need in Sweden as healthcare is basically free, you only pay between $10 and $14 regardless of whether it's a visit to a health center for a prescription or a major heart operation.

    • @thebangkokguide
      @thebangkokguide  5 месяцев назад +3

      Wow that’s a very good budget. This is a little higher than you need for Bangkok. I lived on $600 here as well for about a year. I’ll cover that budget in a video soon to give some balance to how affordable it can be! Cheers!

    • @thebangkokguide
      @thebangkokguide  6 месяцев назад +2

      It’s a good question. You’ll save a little bit on rent, but if you want more space for two people it’s not much cheaper. Overbuilding of smaller units means they seem to go for inordinately cheaper than larger ones. For example the 2 bedrooms in my condo are more than double the price 🤷‍♂️ You’ll def save on hotels and taxis. I’d personally lean towards $3k as a reasonable estimate.
