That Florin was a beaut!! The reverse design is deadly. Well done. May keep an eye out for the next one of these digs.

A splann 'bangle'. Proper ancestor-wear. When it was made it would've literally 'shone-out' as a prestige item. 'Tis why chariot terret rings are usually ornate. These creations were the first emblems of rank in metallargic society. Sheer hard work and great skill went into forging them. No Alexander and Wilks back then Colin😉. It is a louster. Well found Onya. Great advice from herself, especially the 'gut-feeling'. I'd give that big old wedge shape lump a wash-off. You never know what it might once have been. Cheers Colin🏴‍☠😎👍

She did have a great gut feeling about it , most might have discarded it into their junk box . A beautiful item for sure , always makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up holding such an item. As always Tim thanks for dropping by 😎

I almost whanged a Viking lead-alloy gaming piece years ago. It was rolling around in the foot-well of the van with other scrap bits for days. My son-in-law saved the day thank f. I was shamed. I bought him a bottle of the good stuff. So easily done when you're dumb as mud🤣. Ever since, unless it's shite for sure, it goes in the pocket till it gets to the basin😉.@@thecoinwhisperermetaldetec2523
