Overgrown garden gets a makeover. Would you do this job?

  • Being a gardener can be a tough and dirty job that isn’t suited to everyone who dreams about being a gardener.
    This job today isn't pretty or nice to do but these jobs need doing.
    Its been roughly 2 years since we cleared this garden, I hope you enjoy this one as much as the gnomes did.

    Who about using children's square outdoors play mats, there strong and lock together, buy them in packs in DIY stores, keep up the good work Nathan, love these quick short renovation 👍

    Another great welcome to my life Nathan! You really understand the saying of when the shit hits the fan after one of those jobs eh! best go and hose the legs of now to keep the stench out of the cab! 🤣I like the way your mower ripped through that, I now have a beast of a mower, different to yours, but it certainly did it's job today! Good down to earth videos, thanks for the time you put into these for us all to learn from. 👍

    Yep,my Jack Russell loves me when l come home,covered in vaporised excrement and dead things.

    Nice one mate , I would use a old fashioned hayterrete mower on that , I have a 1970,s one with a new engine on it , it will power through anything !!! Good job Nathan 👌Andrew

    Good man. I did one today.. but as I only have a standard albeit good strimmer, but it's not built for thick stuff, I was stooped low down using the big Stihl rough cut hedge trimmer on dem brambles 😂 It's a workout at forty years young.

    Well for two years growth I hope it was worth your effort. As for window protection I just take my chances. With regular visits it'll look like a normal garden in no time

    Know what you mean about dealing with folk. I think that somebody put something in the water - everybody is so demanding, they want everything IMMEDIATELY. I refused to answer my phone today - if its important they can call back. Just didn't need the grief. That November, had 'enough of grass' feeling is here already. Good blitz on the garden though.

      Big put is a good visit, Cardiff bay is worth a visit, Brecon beacons for the waterfalls. There are a few mining historical places to visit. It's a nice area with plenty to visit. Have a good one👍

    What is that first tool you used? I need one of those. Do they cut through stinger branches, thorn bushes and blackberry bushes? Also didn't see a wire...battery-powered?

      Hi, it an Oregon mulching blade attached to the petrol strimmer and yes they'll cut through those, upto an inch thick generally. Thanks for watching and good luck with the job. Cheers 👍

      I've discovered that if I keep my nostril hair trimmed or plucked out using my long nose pliers, this helps a lot since I can always smell it long after I've smelled it lol. That most pleasant of aromas seems to stick to my nostril hairs when I don't trim or pluck them out.

    Didn't look too bad for 2 years growth. My garden was ok until mid summer last year, then a back injury stopped me from being able to do the work. It's May and I have very long grass and brambles everywhere. Because I had to stop working I have no money to pay anyone to fix it.

    My garden is this bad probably worse cause my parents couldnt keep up with it due to no tools etc and its just been let to grow lol its mainly just grass and thorns mostly dead tho

      @Lewis garden services Ltd thanks for the advice i am gonna try again even tho it is a massive garden i did try last summer with my sister but it grew back im the matter of a week cause we didnt dig up the thorn roots and the tools ended up breaking but im gonna try again while all the thorns are mainly dead and grow back slower at this time of year. What you do is a lot of effort im sure you change so many peoples lives and well-being allowing them access to their gardens its admirable the hard work you put in I can tell first hand just from the little i did that its effort. :)

      I've run the shredding blade on the battery combi unit which I believe is the same motor and it definitely punched as good as petrol, if anything if didn't bog down like petrol. Anything to get through these jobs tho😅 cheers 👍

      Etesia pro 46, great mowers👍use them for all our maintenance and they tackle any rough work. Used them 20 years now👌
