i think the probem with the game is the first impression i get about it : that the combo ARENT feel REWARDING. because i can see long chains and complicated ones and only drain very little from the enemy. i know the idea from the developer is so the fight dont end too quick, right? but i'd say make the combo more rewarding in terms of damage, and let the round could end quick, and offer the round to be increased by default which is 3 winning round to complete the match. so fight might end quick in a round, but there is plenty chance to comeback. and combo WONT FEEL LIKE A CHORE. combo should be something you enjoy unleashing, and its rewarding. instead of feeling like a chore that you must keep doing it again in the same round. or for psychological satisfaction, make those life bars double stacked or 2 bars each side, and let the combo has big damage just to give players that "damn big damage bro!" feeling. it works in other games. really.
