The Stadiums are Open the bars and restaurants are open .Why doesn't CA open the EDD offices to clear the more than 100k Pending status with a keystroke or two.
Had 6 weeks pending .. and finally said paid today ! I certify again tomorrow.. should be back on track! 🙏🏼 be patient.. freaking sucks .. but yes you do need file new claim ASAP!

Question.. After speaking to a rep she said she would release my payment and I should see it in 48 hours but its been a week now. How long did you wait after speaking to somebody to finally get paid?
6 weeks worth of pending payments. Filed a new claim because I was outside of my benefit year end. My claim automatically updated and received letters but still no payments. Beyond frustrated
Talked to someone twice and renewed my claim. I wasn’t sure about the first one so I called bk. The lady told me it was a problem and fixed it. Now I’ve been waiting for almost 5weeks. This is crazy I can’t even support my family. I’m at my wits end with this
I’ve been answering the same damn questions for the past year and i never had a problem until now I already reached my yearly benefits and have been getting paid. So I don’t no what the issue is.
I had to file a NEW claim on March 14, 2021 and have pending payments for 6 weeks. I have been calling in for 6 days, can not get through to any live person.
my benefit year ended the same exact day so i filed a new claim and have been pending ever since. i was able to get through to customer service and was told it’s basically a waiting game now.
I filed a new claim, went through the ID.me process, received my benefit award letter, still have an old claim balance, no pending weeks, but nothing has changed. No updates on my EDD account. All lines available to call edd result in the automated message stating they have more call than they can answer and then the call is automatically disconnected.
Got stuck on pending for 3 weeks figured out I needed to start a new claim by watching these videos,then verified my ID. Got paid up a week later. Next cert cycle after I certified.....pending 10 days. My hope is tomorrow it will be back on track. So hard to trust and budget. Rent is due now,not next week. Update: Monday was paid!.sigh of relief. Hope it starts the auto/no pending cycle.
I re-applied my claim a month ago and received 2 letters from EDD. The first one says that my application was received and the 2nd one asks me the choice of the payment, check or debit card. But since then(4/14), my account info has not been updated-0 benefit. I got headache 🤕🤕🤕👎👎👎
My problem is I had to leave my job due to Covid issues. It is not safe for me to be working inside a building right now. The EDD cover page indicates if you are in this situation, you do not have to look for work every week. I was scheduled for a visit with a job search service as if, yes I do have to look for work. If they have changed the requirement, it is not reflected on the app page. I am unable to get an answer from a human at EDD for obvious reasons. So right now, I don't know where I stand.
Good video. I've done all of the suggestions, but still have unpaid weeks. My initial claim year ended 3/1/21. At that time I had a balance, and I was able to certify. But after 3/1/21, all of my claims went into pending status. I was told to enroll with ID.Me, and went thru the entire process. And I was told I needed to answer questions about my eligibility, and an interview with EDD was held. At that interview, EDD told me that the letter I had been sent about the interview was in error, and since I had not worked during the initial benefit year, my status was still 'Extended'. EDD told me that they would release the pending claims and I should expect income in 2 days. However, of the 7 weeks of claims I had in Pending, they release 2 weeks only. So weeks from 3/1 to 3/15 remain in Pending. Three weeks from 3/20 to 4/3 that were Pending were paid, and 2 more weeks for 4/10 and 4/17 were not paid. The certification on 4/24 was paid for 1 week. It's not clear why some were. paid and other skipped. I've written to my State Assembly person to request help. As you would expect, when I call EDD, the voice system says to call back. So it's good to have made some progress, but it's far from perfect.
I Still haven’t got paid from 2 weeks and now they owe me another 2 weeks because I certified again on Sunday , and I expect the money Monday but nothing so now they owe me 4 weeks
Edd don’t care about us this stuff should be getting better not worse nobody knows what’s going on and they had a month and a half already March 14 2021. So it takes that long to figure out how to fix this problem come on Edd you guys can do better then that !!!!!
I filed a new claim after mine expired March 29th. I was granted to get more unemployment. I received three weeks of pay and now my account has said pending for three weeks of payments. I can’t get anyone on the phone. I filed resume on cal jobs but just did that after it’s been pending in hopes that that was the problem. There’s money in the balance, I’m just not being paid. What do I do? I have not been told what the problem is!!!!!
Hello! This is Farris Flagg! I have finally filed my "New Claim" after my identity on 🆔 me website. I'm still on the federal extension. EDD has texted me & said that my claim is being processed. The new claim was done on the last Thursday in April. They are aware of the backlog of claims especially by people who are giving false information. I just want to restart filing for my unemployment ASAP! It shouldn't take 3 weeks! They dropped the 🏀 on this one.
I applied for a new claim on March 31st. I was on Fed-Ed. I got an award letter, and then a notice of invalid claim. I called them on April 8th. I got thru & the woman said she would put me back on my extension since I still had money on it, but then she came back & said my case was still being reviewed. That week I got paid for the 3 weeks I had been pending. However, now my account balance is less that my benefit amount. So it's now I have 3 pending and one says N/A. So instead of 4 weeks pending. Its 3 weeks pending. 1 week N/A. I contacted my assembly member a week ago. No response yet. Also called for hours. Never got on que.
I reached the end of my benefit year and had a zero balance when I filed a new claim. Well, I got a letter in the mail stating that I needed to work during the new claim year in order to receive benefits. This makes no sense because if I was working then I wouldn’t be receiving benefits during the extension; very confusing.
My was pending for 6 weeks. I’ve been very lucky each time I call, but what sucks every one tells me a different thing. Finally last week I was able to to speak again with someone in the payment department and gave me some hope. She said “the first two weeks pending are from the old claim” “ the rest are on the new claim”. Well since my old claim still had a remaining balance, I shouldn’t have opened a new claim even though it was expired. 🤦🏻♀️ Than she said “ I’ll email my supervisor to see how we can change this “Stop Payment alert on your claims that’s causing payments to be on pending status”. We’ll the 2 weeks I certified on my old claim show pending, but now the other 4 weeks show paid. No money has been deposited to my debit card. So now their telling to just keep checking. 🤬🤬🤬🤬
My benefit year ended and needed to make a new claim got the mail but said I will receive additional information and it’s been about 2 weeks with nothing not sure if I have to make a new UI account :/
Seems like everyone is being told different things! Spoke to a representative on Tuesday and said she would release my payment and that I should see the funds within 48 hours. It’s now Saturday and I have yet to see anything... I’ve been pending for 6 weeks now
That sucks, I hope you get it soon. The EDD is definitely saying different things because I was told you can say “No” by a rep when looking for work because of the new changes so this “you have to be looking” isn’t true, not a part of the new COVID-19 guidelines. They’re making things so difficult for everyone, some of us might get paid and others might not tomorrow... I hope I do since I did get the last two weeks BUT I’m still pending the end of March and start of April so that makes no sense 😫 they skipped those, they’re a mess.
Same spoke to a rep on 4/27/21 tuesday she said she released my payment from pending because there was a stop payment alert ! Should have gotten them Thursday or Friday 4/30 still haven’t got anything smh ! Re applied for UI back in March after my 12months was up got a award letter and everything smh

@@rayp.6010 what a disaster! People need to get paid some of us have rent to pay! The rep was able to submit an application for me over the phone but now I’m waiting on an award letter. Many people have said they were denied so I hope that’s not the case. Im already very confused.
Hello I've been trying to get through EDD for over a month. I went through the process of filing a new claim when they directed me to ID verify went through that process and that my appointment with a trustee had been canceled, it also stated that my ID had already been verified but yet my identity was already verified same page.., and yet has not switched me over to the EDD website to continue my new filing I've been stuck/ frozen on this page. Every time I tried to start the process all over again it takes me to the same page idme. had stated the same info since I started and cannot get through phone wise what should I do what can I do??? Please help. 🙏👍

My benefit year ended, I filed a new claim, received a notice extending PEUC for 11 weeks (tier2), got paid for the first two weeks, and then all payments were pending (I'm owed 5 weeks now). Anyone in this situation?
I don't understand I reapplied for unemployment benefits and got my award letter. I had certified and they paid me on 4/9. Went to make a purchase at walmart and had a problem with my card. I had to call the number on the back of the card. Apparently Bank of America said that my account was frozen. I had moved recently and I had updated my info on the edd site and that is when this all happened. It doesn't make sense because I am still able to certify but I still show pending payments..this is so frustrating!
I filed for a new claim after I was told my benefit year had come to an end around the end of March 2021, but still have my payments pending to this day. I have been trying to call but no one is answering as usual.
My claim balance went to 0 in mid March. Benefit year ended in mid April. I filed a new claim the day after the benefit year end. It's May now and I haven't heard from EDD or been able to certify since March.

I had pending or not paid or disqualification with a new claim filed after benefit year expired and all my FED- ED exhausted and ID checked and PUA award letter received. Then when I checked back a few weeks later, now EDD changed them all to disqualified without my knowledge! No e-letter no mail nothing.
i have been waiting for a peuc extension for over a month now. no contact no ability to get through. 0 updates. im going to lose so much because EDD cant get back to me
I had the same problem, I called two weeks ago on a Thursday morning, the rep told me that the EDD Never filed the extension on my behalf so she took care of it right there. She submitted a ticket to accounting so they can file that extension. This would be my first extension ever, I was on regular UI and reached 0 balance two months before my benefit year ended. Try calling on Thursdays and in the morning, keep calling until you get through. You might be like me where the EDD forgot/ neglected to file the extension for me.
So, I filed a new claim March 20th I received the text that my claim was being processed. April 5th I recieved paperwork stating my new ui benefit award. After tomorrow I will have 7 weeks of "pending" payments. Last week I reached out to my city's Congress woman to no avail. Monday I will try to call in to EDD. Are there any new tricks to get through the phone process easily?
I’ve certified 3 times already still haven’t received my payment. It’s been 5 weeks. All the issues they listed don’t apply to me I feel like I’m never going to get it.
BEFORE you file a new claim, CALL THEM! I filed a new claim thinking i needed to, turns out i didnt. I filed a new claim on april 4th, and 2-3 weeks after ecerything was still pending and my claim ending date changed from EXTENSION to 4/4/22. I called them a week ago and they said it messed up my account when i tried to refile a new claim and that the extension was going to do it for me, all i had to do was confirm my identity over the phone. 1 week later (Today) All my weeks say DISQUALIFIED. I had to sit on the phone for 2 and a half hours to try to (resolve) it once again. The women on the phone said she had to approve all my disqualified weeks and transfer them to my old extention claim (the one fore i filed a new one) and that i should see a change on the website and get paid within 5 days. Crossing my fingers!
I have not even been able to certify since February I'm worried I won't get paid for those weeks. I am on 19 weeks and have rec'd 511.00 this is ridiculous. I am so upset. They don't care that some of us are up there in age (will be 60 in 2 months) with a new heart condition. The stress of this is terrible, to not be able to get through is overwhelming, can't pay bills have applied for LIHEAP (another government agency??) sent paperwork 3 times email and us mail they say didn't get it WTH?? Applied for emergency rental assistance haven't heard anything. GOV agency?? I don't understand . The news is always talking about all the help !! I sure would like to know who is getting it???? Had to vent just wonder how many others have been waiting this long? had these problems?? Oh yeah reached out to my State Assemblyman Heath Floyd thought it might help but still nothing.
I have been on the phone many times to be put on hold by the automated machine for the rest of the day trying to get someone in accounting to fix my problem with my payments. I already have done everything else. Its been 2 months and no one in accounting ever picks up the calls. Sometimes when someone does its someone that cant do anything about it resulting in a hang up. If they keep lying to senators and congressmen and assemblymen what hope is there?
Yes ,I filed yesterday and now they have the( have you looked for work) on there? I have not received any prior notice to change my answer or to start a work search. One thing says your not required but another wants an excuse description and at the end says I need to look for work? payment pending? Is this another stall in the system? hope not I just would like for things to be uniform i guess.
I had to file a new claim in March after having to leave my job. I had a claim last year but it ended . With this new claim I have not received a payment. I’ve answered the questions correctly and it still says payment pending for over 6 weeks now. I’ve called over 100 times a day and have not gotten through to anyone .
Pending weeks. I Re applied and got a letter saying I didn't have any income in the last 12 months. Well how was I supposed to have income if I was unemployed!!
Refiled and got approved after 3 weeks, got a new claim balance and all that, certified this last sunday, usually get the payment same day or next day, im on pending now
I have soon to be 2 months pending from UI. I have re-filed 3 times already from UI since the start of 1st the lock down. They never send any of the back money owed either. I wrote, faxed & e-mailed so many places & people & I have yet to hear from one of the many letters I have sent. This new, not getting payed & getting no word on what to do next with pending is just crazy.
I have had a 0 balance for over a month. I finally had to reach out to my assembly person they are waiting for a response from EDD and in the meantime I am still at 0.
Damn I been waiting like 3 months to get the rest of my balance. I been getting letters for my benefits and I also reopened my claim , what can I do I also called 3 weeks straight and I’m here stressing because I didn’t get my stimulus heck either. I know the waiting game sucks but time is running out and I have so much things to pay.
Why are we not seeing this more of a bigger issue and on the news? I remember when they was doing nothing but talking about EDD all the time. Now so many are delayed weeks and months of payments and nothing is being done? What about the news channel that goes to get answers?
EDD updated my extension balance thru September 4 weeks ago. I filed a new claim just about 3 weeks ago after I hit the 1 year anniversary of my original claim. I’ve certified twice now with 4 weeks sitting in pending status with a zero amount paid out. I’ve received a couple pieces of mail from EDD with approved claim amounts as well as info about getting a new BofA card. Other than that I am waiting for my claim to be updated and moved out of pending status. The not knowing is the most frustrating part.
My story: Had six weeks of unpaid claims while waiting for responses to emails or calls (never got through) on a question I had. I had been told in the past not to refile if my claim was already extended and now I was receiving two different instructions contradicting each other. Decided to take a chance and refiled my claim. Rapidly received paperwork for new claim, including the claim benefit form for two weeks I had already done on-line. Sunday, I file for weeks 7 & 8. If nothing jiggles loose, I will start calling every 15 minutes a few hours a day until I get through. I have been successful sending emails to wrong questions in the past, but it's not working this time through. FYI, the last time I had a delay - 12 weeks - I had to use my state legislature rep. for one of his clerks to help me but that also takes time. At least I have a light at the end of the tunnel as I'm finally being called for job interviews after an 8 month streak of unemployment. Thank you UI VLOGS for the help.
Broke down and spent $30 on two calls from Claimyr cuz I couldn't get thru for four weeks. A rep fixed my husband's claim so he could at least certify and she added the eleven week extension. Now five weeks of payments are pending (tomorrow is six). When I used Claimry again to see why not paid, the horribly rude rep said "this isn't your only money" and then hung up on me when I told her how upsetting this was to go six weeks with no payments! I want to sue these bastards.
When I reapplied, I had 5 weeks that were pending. Instead of paying me the pending, the canceled all my pending and only paid me one current week that I certified for.
Now I have 5 pending payments due . I filed a new claim . I did the id.me and was approved. Now it’s wait wait wait . So confused. Why wasn’t It showing paid today online.
To the public: anyone have an eligibility interview already? Specifically asking for parents/caregivers who had to leave the workforce due to school closures and lack of childcare. Spoke to 2 different tier 2 reps and both stated that "lack of childcare" is no longer an eligibility for ui benefits. This stopped being valid as of January 6th 2021 per 1 rep and January 12th 2021 per another rep. Point is...there trying to kick out as many ui recipients as possible. Pretty sure CA IS OUT OF $$ NEWSON NEEDS TO GO!!!

This happened i believe to me because i ran out of regular ui benefits, still within my benefit year and requested my 1sr PEUC extension (13 weeks). Was the interviewer at least empathetic? @@evelynherrera-gonzalez1474 well i have been out of work since the end of 2019 due to a car accident and i was denied benefits then the pandemic happened and they awarded my benefits and then dec of 2020 i went back to work and ppl were testing positive and i didnt feel safe, i reopened my claim and they paid me once 4/25 and the other weeks were disqualified due to my new claim being denied they put me back on my old claim

"YOU HAVE TO CALL" Very important!!! I'm on the peuc new extension and was Pending for 4 weeks! Called today, on hold for 40 minutes for a 2 minute talk and was paid right after phone call.
my father and sister both have a claim balance still. already filed a new claim. but every time they certify. payment is pending. they're about 7 weeks into pending payments. also when the new claim was denied like it was supposed to happen. never received a letter saying they filed for the extension on their current claim. they're in limbo
My son's bye was 03/29/21 and he applied for a new claim online on 04/09/21. He did ID.me and when he called EDD rep said she saw the ID.me. She sent emails to ID.me department for them to add it to his file and she also sent email to extensions Dept to have his extension added since she could see he did not qualify for new reg UI claim. She said he is "good to go" and just needs to wait because new claim is in review, as all new claims are and when they update/fix EDD system he will be able to certify. Three weeks was yesterday, he is still waiting but patiently since others have been waiting much longer than he has.
i have had a pending payment since early april! I got paid for only one week .. i am on a PUA extension .. i have the hard copy letter and the letter in my edd inbox .. The balance in my account has money, i certify fir all my weeks, like today… and i have had no calls or responses from EDD. i can’t seem to speak to anyone nor have i been asked to clarify my identity.. it’s all very unsettling and confusing! I am out of work and this is just hard
I filed a new claim on April 18, 2021. I was given a date of May 2, 2021 to come back to verify for my benefits. On April 19, 2021, I got the email in my ui online inbox saying that I got the extension. For the week of April 18,2021 to May 1st, I still had a zero balance on my ui online account. Today is May 2,2021. I certified for benefits at 1:00 pm. I logged online and I saw my claim balance and it was updated and there was no more a zero balance. For the week of April 18 2021-April 25, 2021, it says pending. For the week of April 26-May1, 2021, it says pending. I have to go back online on May 16, 2021 to certify. I am hoping that the pending messages switches to paid in the next three days. I really don’t want to call EDD and I am hoping, I don’t have an interview.
I been certifing for UI was only able to certifiy for 1 week they have na for second week when I have only 10 hour to report I'm not sure what claim I'm drawing from but my old claim is up . What should I do.
I was on a PUA claim received award letters extending me till 9/2021... And my claim balance over 23,000... And have been able to certify..since march this year...and still on pending..i mean why send me award letters and lete certify...ivedoneeverytji g the asked...im not in gd health ..and I need to make sure my kid is ok. As of yesterday 5/4 I had 7 weeks in "pending status" today I checked my EDD account and under history it showed all 7 weeks paid, however under payments it only shows my last payment from early March. I checked my BOA debit card and funds have not been transferred also my claim had over $3K now it shows $0... I'm so confused & extremely stressed
My payment has been pending for 4 weeks. Also, I filed a new claim and the EDD sent me a letter approving me of the new claim. How long will I get my new claim and, will my new claim push my pending payments to paid?
But you said edd approved your claim. Why would you have to wait 3-4 weeks for review for an approved claim? I am also approved and my letter said to certify now. But funny guys over there at edd, ..forgot to give me my "certify for benefits" button back!!! I also have 2 pending payments looking at me as I am sitting here with no money except change! I am holding my breath for midnight in hopes that damn button will return and edd was closed for fifteen hours last night and today! Good Luck
@@MelesaEFary because if you apply new claim when benefit year ended. then edd will check you qualified for ui claim are not! if not qualify then edd put you to peuc y. if qualify stay ui. because 2020 year income is less.then you benefit will less than the benefits you had before. then edd will put back you claim to peuc y.same benefit amount you had before. but you need to wait edd put peuc y in. it take 3 weeks to put fund transfer to you benefit account than you can got pay..i apply new claim for 3 weeks. than benefit balance load up. the certify bottom will pop up that day. after certify got paid in same day!
I called for weeks and finally got through. There was a mistake I made on my application, and they told me I would get a letter in the mail with a scheduled interview time to fix the mix and figure out my eligibility. I've been waiting now for that letter for over a month, my account has been on pending now for 2 months. I"ve called about 25 times a day now for 2 weeks and I've tried everything to get through to someone.
How will I know if I’m on PUA or PEUC extension? I filed my UI claim March of last year, do I need to file for a new UI claim? Please let me know, thanks
When you do your taxes, do you use a W-2 or a 1099. If you use a 1099 than you are PUA a W-2 you are PEUC. PUA are those who would be considered self employed. PEUC are those who work for someone else.
Mine say I have a balance of 3348.00 . I certified for twice with it saying pending. I got a hold of my state assembly guy and he said that my claim was invalid and they were going to pay me federally. Then he said it was going to take two weeks. Unfortunately now they're investigating me or something like that.

It even says that due to covid 19 you so not currently have to search for work to receive payments. I mean, I am looking , but that is besides the point. Wondering why they are using that as an excuse not to pay people.
I finally got a notice that my new benefit is HALF of my original. How can they do that? I haven’t worked in over a year. How can I fix this when nobody will answer the phone? Criminal!
For the past six weeks, I have been getting emails telling me I have weeks to certify. I have been doing so, and receiving confirmations that certification is complete and a balance is showing. However, nothing is going into my checking account. I am of course unable to get ahold of anyone by phone or by email at Unemployment. I just as a last resort went through the entire recertification process again (including ID Me, etc.), which I should not have had to do. No results yet.
I had the same problem. I am still on pending from 2/07/21 until now. They sent me a letter with the phone interview on last Tuesday, but they never called me. I completed everything as requested, but still did not get paid. I tried to call them but could not get through to EDD. So frustrated!
Is it safe to assume that my new claim got approved if they sent me a new debit card in the mail? I've gotten a couple confusing letters from EDD, I've continued to certify my weeks and have about 4 or 5 pending $0 payments. Just hoping the money starts coming thru again 🤞
Since March 2020 filed a claim, verified identity numerous times, now waiting for a appeals hearing date. Still haven't received a dime. But hey at least I can certify every 2 weeks. California and edd suck.
Update- I've been calling non stop for months. I've been on hold for hours and get disconnected. I was about to give up, when yesterday I finally got put on hold and waiting for a few hours and the absolute nicest human picked up and helped me fix my claim. I made a mistake on the application and no one would help until that! He fixed it within minutes, got me off pending and to paid and then extended the claim automatically so It would go through the system. Moral of the story is CALL CALL AND CALL. Eventually you will get through, do not give up, just keep trying!! It will eventually go through. I got through at 2pm. Best of luck folks. Never give up
If someone can answer.... please do. 4 weeks ago I certified for 1 week. Payment is still pending. 2 weeks ago I certified for 2 weeks. Payment is still pending. Thats 3 weeks of payments pending. But nothing since. 5 days ago my claim balance jumped from $390 to $10,000. The following day, it went back to $390. Then, 3 days ago I was asked to send in a copy of my 2019 return. I did. And here we are today.....Still nothing. And of course nobody can call the EDD. its impossible
Well my PUA changed to or "qualifies" for PEUC. My question is that the form doesn't give me any covid options, and my work place is still closed because of it. Do I just put yes (or no) for "any reason" that I couldn't accept full time work?

You have to say that you've looked for work, even though we're not require to look at this time, so answer yes. If your place opens up and you're able to work full time, let them know.

I had to wait 3 months for ID verification when I was ALREADY in my Fed-ed extension. They said they have a 3rd party review department and there is NO WAY they can connect you to them. An adjuster or tier 2 specialist CANNOT help you with that. But Alright, I posted yesterday on here that my ID was confirmed and I had 12 payments pending since 1/31. I had to recertify last evening and sure enough I received THAT payment. Shouldn't I have gotten the ones pending since 1/31 first? I'm seriously confused. What the heck! Admins, you're pretty dang good at this so can you let me know maybe what happened? Or does anyone know?

Filed a new claim on April 1 because the prior claim 1 year expiration expired. Now I have 5 weeks and counting that are pending. Next week, I will have 7 weeks pending. I don't understand why such a long delay to continue Unemployment Payments.

I’ve been answering the same damn questions for the past year and i never had a problem until now I already reached my yearly benefits and have been getting paid. So I don’t no what the issue is.
I had to file a NEW claim on March 14, 2021 and have pending payments for 6 weeks. I have been calling in for 6 days, can not get through to any live person.

Have you tried claimyr? For 20 dollars they will dial edd and call you when they pick up. It works !
I filed a new claim, went through the ID.me process, received my benefit award letter, still have an old claim balance, no pending weeks, but nothing has changed. No updates on my EDD account. All lines available to call edd result in the automated message stating they have more call than they can answer and then the call is automatically disconnected.

Got stuck on pending for 3 weeks figured out I needed to start a new claim by watching these videos,then verified my ID. Got paid up a week later. Next cert cycle after I certified.....pending 10 days. My hope is tomorrow it will be back on track. So hard to trust and budget. Rent is due now,not next week. Update: Monday was paid!.sigh of relief. Hope it starts the auto/no pending cycle.
I re-applied my claim a month ago and received 2 letters from EDD. The first one says that my application was received and the 2nd one asks me the choice of the payment, check or debit card. But since then(4/14), my account info has not been updated-0 benefit. I got headache 🤕🤕🤕👎👎👎

My problem is I had to leave my job due to Covid issues. It is not safe for me to be working inside a building right now. The EDD cover page indicates if you are in this situation, you do not have to look for work every week. I was scheduled for a visit with a job search service as if, yes I do have to look for work. If they have changed the requirement, it is not reflected on the app page. I am unable to get an answer from a human at EDD for obvious reasons. So right now, I don't know where I stand.

I've done all of the suggestions, but still have unpaid weeks. My initial claim year ended 3/1/21. At that time I had a balance, and I was able to certify. But after 3/1/21, all of my claims went into pending status. I was told to enroll with ID.Me, and went thru the entire process. And I was told I needed to answer questions about my eligibility, and an interview with EDD was held. At that interview, EDD told me that the letter I had been sent about the interview was in error, and since I had not worked during the initial benefit year, my status was still 'Extended'. EDD told me that they would release the pending claims and I should expect income in 2 days. However, of the 7 weeks of claims I had in Pending, they release 2 weeks only. So weeks from 3/1 to 3/15 remain in Pending. Three weeks from 3/20 to 4/3 that were Pending were paid, and 2 more weeks for 4/10 and 4/17 were not paid. The certification on 4/24 was paid for 1 week. It's not clear why some were. paid and other skipped. I've written to my State Assembly person to request help. As you would expect, when I call EDD, the voice system says to call back. So it's good to have made some progress, but it's far from perfect.
I Still haven’t got paid from 2 weeks and now they owe me another 2 weeks because I certified again on Sunday , and I expect the money Monday but nothing so now they owe me 4 weeks
Edd don’t care about us this stuff should be getting better not worse nobody knows what’s going on and they had a month and a half already March 14 2021. So it takes that long to figure out how to fix this problem come on Edd you guys can do better then that !!!!!
I filed a new claim after mine expired March 29th. I was granted to get more unemployment. I received three weeks of pay and now my account has said pending for three weeks of payments. I can’t get anyone on the phone. I filed resume on cal jobs but just did that after it’s been pending in hopes that that was the problem. There’s money in the balance, I’m just not being paid. Hello! This is Farris Flagg! I have finally filed my "New Claim" after my identity on 🆔 me website. I'm still on the federal extension. EDD has texted me & said that my claim is being processed. The new claim was done on the last Thursday in April. They are aware of the backlog of claims especially by people who are giving false information. I just want to restart filing for my unemployment ASAP! It shouldn't take 3 weeks! They dropped the 🏀 on this one.
I applied for a new claim on March 31st. I was on Fed-Ed. I got an award letter, and then a notice of invalid claim. I called them on April 8th. I got thru & the woman said she would put me back on my extension since I still had money on it, but then she came back & said my case was still being reviewed. That week I got paid for the 3 weeks I had been pending. However, now my account balance is less that my benefit amount. So it's now I have 3 pending and one says N/A. So instead of 4 weeks pending. Its 3 weeks pending. 1 week N/A. I contacted my assembly member a week ago. No response yet. Also called for hours. Never got on que.
I reached the end of my benefit year and had a zero balance when I filed a new claim. Well, I got a letter in the mail stating that I needed to work during the new claim year in order to receive benefits. This makes no sense because if I was working then I wouldn’t be receiving benefits during the extension; very confusing.

My was pending for 6 weeks. I’ve been very lucky each time I call, but what sucks every one tells me a different thing. Finally last week I was able to to speak again with someone in the payment department and gave me some hope. She said “the first two weeks pending are from the old claim” “ the rest are on the new claim”. Well since my old claim still had a remaining balance, I shouldn’t have opened a new claim even though it was expired. 🤦🏻♀️ Than she said “ I’ll email my supervisor to see how we can change this “Stop Payment alert on your claims that’s causing payments to be on pending status”.

The EDD is definitely saying different things because I was told you can say “No” by a rep when looking for work because of the new changes so this “you have to be looking” isn’t true, not a part of the new COVID-19 guidelines.
They’re making things so difficult for everyone, some of us might get paid and others might not tomorrow...

Hello I've been trying to get through EDD for over a month. I went through the process of filing a new claim when they directed me to ID verify went through that process and that my appointment with a trustee had been canceled, it also stated that my ID had already been verified but yet my identity was already verified same page.., and yet has not switched me over to the EDD website to continue my new filing I've been stuck/ frozen on this page. Every time I tried to start the process all over again it takes me to the same page idme. had stated the same info since I started and cannot get through phone wise what should I do what can I do??? I don't understand I reapplied for unemployment benefits and got my award letter. I had certified and they paid me on 4/9. Went to make a purchase at walmart and had a problem with my card. I had to call the number on the back of the card. Apparently Bank of America said that my account was frozen. I had moved recently and I had updated my info on the edd site and that is when this all happened. It doesn't make sense because I am still able to certify but I still show pending payments..this is so frustrating!
I filed for a new claim after I was told my benefit year had come to an end around the end of March 2021, but still have my payments pending to this day. I have been trying to call but no one is answering as usual.
My claim balance went to 0 in mid March. Benefit year ended in mid April. I filed a new claim the day after the benefit year end. It's May now and I haven't heard from EDD or been able to certify since March.
Mine does not end until september but i have a 0 balance have not even got any paper work hell its been 3 months now

I had pending or not paid or disqualification with a new claim filed after benefit year expired and all my FED- ED exhausted and ID checked and PUA award letter received. Then when I checked back a few weeks later, now EDD changed them all to disqualified without my knowledge! No e-letter no mail nothing.

I had the same problem, I called two weeks ago on a Thursday morning, the rep told me that the EDD Never filed the extension on my behalf so she took care of it right there. She submitted a ticket to accounting so they can file that extension. This would be my first extension ever, I was on regular UI and reached 0 balance two months before my benefit year ended. Try calling on Thursdays and in the morning, keep calling until you get through. You might be like me where the EDD forgot/ neglected to file the extension for me.

BEFORE you file a new claim, CALL THEM! I filed a new claim thinking i needed to, turns out i didnt. I filed a new claim on april 4th, and 2-3 weeks after ecerything was still pending and my claim ending date changed from EXTENSION to 4/4/22. I called them a week ago and they said it messed up my account when i tried to refile a new claim and that the extension was going to do it for me, all i had to do was confirm my identity over the phone. 1 week later (Today) All my weeks say DISQUALIFIED. I had to sit on the phone for 2 and a half hours to try to (resolve) it once again. The women on the phone said she had to approve all my disqualified weeks and transfer them to my old extention claim (the one fore i filed a new one) and that i should see a change on the website and get paid within 5 days. Crossing my fingers!

I have not even been able to certify since February I'm worried I won't get paid for those weeks. I am on 19 weeks and have rec'd 511.00 this is ridiculous. I am so upset. Payments still pending already filed new claim over phone
I have been on the phone many times to be put on hold by the automated machine for the rest of the day trying to get someone in accounting to fix my problem with my payments. I already have done everything else. Its been 2 months and no one in accounting ever picks up the calls. Sometimes when someone does its someone that cant do anything about it resulting in a hang up. If they keep lying to senators and congressmen and assemblymen what hope is there?
Yes ,I filed yesterday and now they have the( have you looked for work) on there? I have not received any prior notice to change my answer or to start a work search. One thing says your not required but another wants an excuse description and at the end says I need to look for work? payment pending? For what I've been reading, you get that letter first, and then a second one after, giving you information about PUA and how much you'll get.
Refiled and got approved after 3 weeks, got a new claim balance and all that, certified this last sunday, usually get the payment same day or next day, im on pending now

I have soon to be 2 months pending from UI. I have re-filed 3 times already from UI since the start of 1st the lock down. They never send any of the back money owed either. I wrote, faxed & e-mailed so many places & people & I have yet to hear from one of the many letters I have sent. This new, not getting payed & getting no word on what to do next with pending is just crazy.
I have had a 0 balance for over a month. I finally had to reach out to my assembly person they are waiting for a response from EDD and in the meantime I am still at 0.
Damn I been waiting like 3 months to get the rest of my balance. I been getting letters for my benefits and I also reopened my claim , what can I do I also called 3 weeks straight and I’m here stressing because I didn’t get my stimulus heck either. EDD updated my extension balance thru September 4 weeks ago. I filed a new claim just about 3 weeks ago after I hit the 1 year anniversary of my original claim. I’ve certified twice now with 4 weeks sitting in pending status with a zero amount paid out. I’ve received a couple pieces of mail from EDD with approved claim amounts as well as info about getting a new BofA card. Other than that I am waiting for my claim to be updated and moved out of pending status. The not knowing is the most frustrating part.
My story: Had six weeks of unpaid claims while waiting for responses to emails or calls (never got through) on a question I had. I had been told in the past not to refile if my claim was already extended and now I was receiving two different instructions contradicting each other. Decided to take a chance and refiled my claim. Rapidly received paperwork for new claim, including the claim benefit form for two weeks I had already done on-line. Sunday, I file for weeks 7 & 8. If nothing jiggles loose, I will start calling every 15 minutes a few hours a day until I get through. I have been successful sending emails to wrong questions in the past, but it's not working this time through. FYI, the last time I had a delay - 12 weeks - I had to use my state legislature rep. for one of his clerks to help me but that also takes time. At least I have a light at the end of the tunnel as I'm finally being called for job interviews after an 8 month streak of unemployment. Thank you UI VLOGS for the help.
Broke down and spent $30 on two calls from Claimyr cuz I couldn't get thru for four weeks. A rep fixed my husband's claim so he could at least certify and she added the eleven week extension. Now five weeks of payments are pending (tomorrow is six). When I used Claimry again to see why not paid, the horribly rude rep said "this isn't your only money" and then hung up on me when I told her how upsetting this was to go six weeks with no payments! I want to sue these bastards.
When I reapplied, I had 5 weeks that were pending. Instead of paying me the pending, the canceled all my pending and only paid me one current week that I certified for.
Now I have 5 pending payments due . I filed a new claim . I did the id.me and was approved. Now it’s wait wait wait . So confused.

To the public: anyone have an eligibility interview already? Specifically asking for parents/caregivers who had to leave the workforce due to school closures and lack of childcare. Spoke to 2 different tier 2 reps and both stated that "lack of childcare" is no longer an eligibility for ui benefits. This stopped being valid as of January 6th 2021 per 1 rep and January 12th 2021 per another rep. Point is...there trying to kick out as many ui recipients as possible. Pretty sure CA IS OUT OF $$ NEWSON NEEDS TO GO!!!

@@evelynherrera-gonzalez1474 well i have been out of work since the end of 2019 due to a car accident and i was denied benefits then the pandemic happened and they awarded my benefits and then dec of 2020 i went back to work and ppl were testing positive and i didnt feel safe, i reopened my claim and they paid me once 4/25 and the other weeks were disqualified due to my new claim being denied they put me back on my old claim

my father and sister both have a claim balance still. already filed a new claim. but every time they certify. payment is pending. they're about 7 weeks into pending payments. also when the new claim was denied like it was supposed to happen. never received a letter saying they filed for the extension on their current claim. they're in limbo

My son's bye was 03/29/21 and he applied for a new claim online on 04/09/21. He did ID.me and when he called EDD rep said she saw the ID.me. She sent emails to ID.me department for them to add it to his file and she also sent email to extensions Dept to have his extension added since she could see he did not qualify for new reg UI claim. She said he is "good to go" and just needs to wait because new claim is in review, as all new claims are and when they update/fix EDD system he will be able to certify. Three weeks was yesterday, he is still waiting but patiently since others have been waiting much longer than he has.

I filed a new claim on April 18, 2021. I was given a date of May 2, 2021 to come back to verify for my benefits. On April 19, 2021, I got the email in my ui online inbox saying that I got the extension. For the week of April 18,2021 to May 1st, I still had a zero balance on my ui online account. Today is May 2,2021. I certified for benefits at 1:00 pm. I logged online and I saw my claim balance and it was updated and there was no more a zero balance. For the week of April 18 2021-April 25, 2021, it says pending. For the week of April 26-May1, 2021, it says pending. I have to go back online on May 16, 2021 to certify. I am hoping that the pending messages switches to paid in the next three days. I really don’t want to call EDD and I am hoping, I don’t have an interview.
I been certifing for UI was only able to certifiy for 1 week they have na for second week when I have only 10 hour to report I'm not sure what claim I'm drawing from but my old claim is up . What should I do.
I was on a PUA claim received award letters extending me till 9/2021... And my claim balance over 23,000... And have been able to certify..since march this year...and still on pending..i mean why send me award letters and lete certify...ivedoneeverytji g the asked...im not in gd health ..and I need to make sure my kid is ok. If something happens me.
But I bet they make sure all their employees get paid.
As of yesterday 5/4 I had 7 weeks in "pending status" today I checked my EDD account and under history it showed all 7 weeks paid, however under payments it only shows my last payment from early March. I checked my BOA debit card and funds have not been transferred also my claim had over $3K now it shows $0... I'm so confused & extremely stressed
My payment has been pending for 4 weeks. Also, I filed a new claim and the EDD sent me a letter approving me of the new claim. How long will I get my new claim and, will my new claim push my pending payments to paid?

But you said edd approved your claim. Why would you have to wait 3-4 weeks for review for an approved claim? I am also approved and my letter said to certify now. But funny guys over there at edd, ..forgot to give me my "certify for benefits" button back!!! I also have 2 pending payments looking at me as I am sitting here with no money except change! I am holding my breath for midnight in hopes that damn button will return and edd was closed for fifteen hours last night and today! Good Luck
Filed my claim and they automatically changed it already but I’m still on pending
@@MelesaEFary because if you apply new claim when benefit year ended. then edd will check you qualified for ui claim are not! if not qualify then edd put you to peuc y. if qualify stay ui. because 2020 year income is less.then you benefit will less than the benefits you had before. then edd will put back you claim to peuc y.same benefit amount you had before. but you need to wait edd put peuc y in. it take 3 weeks to put fund transfer to you benefit account than you can got pay..i apply new claim for 3 weeks. than benefit balance load up. the certify bottom will pop up that day. after certify got paid in same day!
I called for weeks and finally got through. There was a mistake I made on my application, and they told me I would get a letter in the mail with a scheduled interview time to fix the mix and figure out my eligibility. I've been waiting now for that letter for over a month, my account has been on pending now for 2 months. I"ve called about 25 times a day now for 2 weeks and I've tried everything to get through to someone.
How will I know if I’m on PUA or PEUC extension? I filed my UI claim March of last year, do I need to file for a new UI claim? Please let me know, thanks
When you do your taxes, do you use a W-2 or a 1099. If you use a 1099 than you are PUA a W-2 you are PEUC.
PUA are those who would be considered self employed.
PEUC are those who work for someone else.
Mine say I have a balance of 3348.00 . I certified for twice with it saying pending. I got a hold of my state assembly guy and he said that my claim was invalid and they were going to pay me federally. Then he said it was going to take two weeks. Unfortunately now they're investigating me or something like that.

It even says that due to covid 19 you so not currently have to search for work to receive payments. I mean, I am looking , but that is besides the point. Wondering why they are using that as an excuse not to pay people.
I finally got a notice that my new benefit is HALF of my original. How can they do that? I haven’t worked in over a year. How can I fix this when nobody will answer the phone? Criminal!

For the past six weeks, I have been getting emails telling me I have weeks to certify. I have been doing so, and receiving confirmations that certification is complete and a balance is showing. However, nothing is going into my checking account. I am of course unable to get ahold of anyone by phone or by email at Unemployment. I just as a last resort went through the entire recertification process again (including ID Me, etc.), which I should not have had to do. No results yet.
I had the same problem. I am still on pending from 2/07/21 until now. They sent me a letter with the phone interview on last Tuesday, but they never called me. I completed everything as requested, but still did not get paid. I tried to call them but could not get through to EDD. So frustrated!
Is it safe to assume that my new claim got approved if they sent me a new debit card in the mail? I've gotten a couple confusing letters from EDD, I've continued to certify my weeks and have about 4 or 5 pending $0 payments. Just hoping the money starts coming thru again 🤞
Since March 2020 filed a claim, verified identity numerous times, now waiting for a appeals hearing date. Still haven't received a dime. But hey at least I can certify every 2 weeks. California and edd suck.
Update-
I've been calling non stop for months. I've been on hold for hours and get disconnected. I was about to give up, when yesterday I finally got put on hold and waiting for a few hours and the absolute nicest human picked up and helped me fix my claim. I made a mistake on the application and no one would help until that! He fixed it within minutes, got me off pending and to paid and then extended the claim automatically so It would go through the system.
Moral of the story is CALL CALL AND CALL. Eventually you will get through, do not give up, just keep trying!! It will eventually go through. I got through at 2pm.

4 weeks ago I certified for 1 week. Payment is still pending.
2 weeks ago I certified for 2 weeks. Payment is still pending.
Thats 3 weeks of payments pending. But nothing since.
5 days ago my claim balance jumped from $390 to $10,000. The following day, it went back to $390. Then, 3 days ago I was asked to send in a copy of my 2019 return. I did. And here we are today.....Still nothing. And of course nobody can call the EDD. its impossible
Well my PUA changed to or "qualifies" for PEUC. My question is that the form doesn't give me any covid options, and my work place is still closed because of it.
Do I just put yes (or no) for "any reason" that I couldn't accept full time work?

I am asking because on 05/03 is the end of my first Edd claim yr. I am only asking because I really don't want to wait forever for my weeks to be processed.

You have to say that you've looked for work, even though we're not require to look at this time, so answer yes. If your place opens up and you're able to work full time, let them know.

I had to wait 3 months for ID verification when I was ALREADY in my Fed-ed extension. They said they have a 3rd party review department and there is NO WAY they can connect you to them. An adjuster or tier 2 specialist CANNOT help you with that. But
Alright, I posted yesterday on here that my ID was confirmed and I had 12 payments pending since 1/31. I had to recertify last evening and sure enough I received THAT payment. Shouldn't I have gotten the ones pending since 1/31 first? I'm seriously confused. What the heck! Admins, you're pretty dang good at this so can you let me know maybe what happened? Or does anyone know?

Filed a new claim on April 1 because the prior claim 1 year expiration expired. Now I have 5 weeks and counting that are pending. Next week, I will have 7 weeks pending. I don't understand why such a long delay to continue Unemployment Payments.
I certified my two weeks and haven't got paid yet I still have balance and when I try to use full site the option to file new claim pops up. This is frustrating

Welcome to the club ,,, the same thing exactly its happening to me ,,, tomorrow i will be certifying the 5th week and most likely will be pending as well !! It Sucks !!!! I hope all these bad employees at EDD GET REPLACED BY A COMPANY TO DO THE JOB THEY FAILED TO PERFORM ,THEN THOSE BAD EDD EMPLOYEES WILL HAVE TO GO TROUGH THE SAME NIGHTMARES AS WE DO NOW COLLECTING OUR UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE BENEFITS EXTENSION AND WEEKS AFTER WEEKS ARE STILL PENDING !! Hello I've filed a new claim I am still out of work because of covid I had like six pending now I have to that's say not paid to that says unqualified and two got paid what does that mean or what should I do

I was peuc pending for 4 wks.
I filed new claim and after 2days got paid all and received letter about extension and how they processed. I just egnored because I claim online so.
It took about a week all together even they noticed 2 to 3wks..
