  • Hey guys! Long time no 'food' video. For today's episode, I brought three of my Korean friends to a Filipino restaurant in Seoul! I always get so excited when I introduce Filipino culture to my loved ones, and I'm pretty sure you are too. Seeing them enjoy Filipino food made me feel like a proud mom. HAHA. 🤣 I hope you guys enjoyed this video as much as we did! 💖

You can tell it's a genuine reaction when everyone's done eating and they are still surprised by how good the food taste.
Also the mapapa mura ka sa sarap reaction. And James' nostalgia. Like he had his own silent moments there for a while that you can almost see some memories playing like a movie reel inside his head. 😂

It's nice that you guys appreciate some of our dishes too. I myself looooove bibimbap. Like... I just love it. Galing mo in choosing...love all of them especially sisig, kangkong, fried chicken, pancit Canton...and of course, turon as dessert. Now that your friends have tasted our local foods, next time they can get acquainted with other Filipino dish like chicken adobo, chicken curry, lumpia (shrimp roll), etc. Kudos to you!👏🤗❤️😋

James' nostalgic feeling while eating Filipino foods is common to us Filipinos. Most of our dishes are comfort foods. Eating for us doesn't only fill our stomachs, but also our souls and interactions with our loved ones. Moments with family and loved ones is usually accompanied with home cooked meals. And you are correct Ms.Jessica! It's really hard to go on diet in the Philippines! 😅

I had the same reaction with James when I tried sinigang again after a very long time, I first tasted it in my classmate's house his mom prepares it. I was scared as I may not finish the food as it's too sour, but when I take a another sip the taste becomes familiar and got addicted to it, it was fun. But there are dishes which I didn't like no matter how much I tried like I did when sinigang. It's the palabok and the beef in peanuts. I also remember the canton and the friend banana it's like a snack every after class so nostalgic.

This is such a heartwarming video. I know it's just food, but there's something about new people discovering the (underrated) Filipino cuisine. Also, James was clearly going on a trip down memory road there 😂 so sweet! Thanks, Jessica! 💖

I liked how James was feeling so nostalgic and vmwas genuine with his reactions and excitement. Can you tell him that in case he comes on vacation in the Philippines I'd be willing to treat him into a fiesta themed dining experience all day? That's an ultimate filipino food experience.

im sitting here eating sinigang and watching. i was so surprised you liked red horse! i thought it was an edgy thing to like red horse when i was young bc i couldn't relate to it but as i got older i realized ppl really do like it and i will never get to experience that lol
also yes sisig is pig ears or sometimes they can use maskara or pig face. i love sisig!
i hope there's a chance for you and your friends to try lambanog, that ones gonna hit you hard! 😆

i did NOT know that San Miguel is famous in korea too! most women here like the apple flavored beer or the light, while most men prefer the eagle beer, red horse. also happy that James was able to remember some of his childhood memories of eating our food. pani is so pretty, she looks & sounds like Jisoo of BP. glad u guys had a great time. 🥰

Pani looks like Jisoo and Rose rolled into one. Justin's review is probably the winner. James nostalgic reaction is gold and ofcourse, Jessica is as beautiful as ever.
Anyway, I will wait for them to try bagong lutong sinigang na baboy, nilagang baka and tinolang manok. Let's see which one they'd like.

I enjoyed watching this so much, i have been addicted to watching kdramas lately(thanks Covid) but this has brought me a different kind of joy and sense of pride how you guys enjoyed our food so much and how James and Jessica gave memorable references living here in the Philippines which show how they genuinely got immersed in our culture. It's oftentimes easy for us to take everything here for granted and not notice the nuances of our culture, but seeing you guys give appreciation to them gives me a truly positive vibe and gratifying feeling. I really wish i could go back there in Seoul when the time comes coz i also love your culture and tradition. 🙏❤️😍
