Clover chips as a Filipino living in Aus, the best way I can describe it is that the flavour never hits that peak 'oooomph' and dies down quite quick and with every handful you'll keep thinking to yourself, the flavour WILL get stronger this time and the vicious cycle continues :')

My faves so far (on your table/mentioned):
    * Chippy - the blue (cheese) flavor, though I grew up eating the barbecue flavor; the first green Chippy was sweet corn flavor, and I loved it. Don't ask my age ahahah. The next green, the garlic and vinegar, is not so much my choice. I still stick to the cheese Chippy. What I like about Chippy nowadays is the funny comics at the back.
    * Piattos - I like both the cheese and the sour cream flavors
    >> Jack 'n Jill - by Universal Robina, from the same conglomerate (JG Summit) that owns Cebu Pacific.
    * Pillows - I prefer the chocolate over the ube. The ube is too sweet for me.
    * Clover Chips - still, the cheese flavor for me
    * Golden Sweet Corn by Regent - ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
    * Muchies Green Peas - because I love the green peas
My other faves but not in your list, nor mentioned:
    * V-Cut and its other sibling Jack n' Jill Potato Chips - both the barbecue flavor. I tried the cheese version of V-Cut but I still love the barbecue flavor
    * Cheese Ring - I don't know if you've tried it
    * Mr. Chips - the red (I think it's spaghetti flavor)
    * Oishi Prawn - not the spicy one

  • @MommyElsVlog

You can find Piatos at some of the 24/7 Ice cream shop in your area. I got surprised too when I first saw it's being sold here in Korea, I got so excited that bought all the flavors available lol 😆 Sometimes in some of the snacks store here they also sell Pillows, Oishi Prawn Crackers, Sponge, Fudgee Bar and Dewberry.
Clover has unique kind of flavor and texture, it's one of my favorite filipino snacks. Actually while watching this video I'm munching on it lol! Cheeppee was my childhood favorite snack, it comes with a small bag of chips and i usually buy at sari sari store for 1 peso.

*_Filipino snacks are quite salty because its semi-catered to the tagay culture, that makes the entire demographic appeal to it. (flavours such as sisig, adobo and the more exotic ones were made because the dish itself is commonly served in a tagay) Due to poverty, some even buy solo/mini sized versions that costs 1php to pair it with rice in order to ease the hunger. (similar to furikake+rice which is sprinkled)_*

The sweet corn used to have a different packaging. A long, smaller one that is not in aluminum foil. It looked so cheap and local. You can even make it a temporary tattoo.

Chippy at first there’s nothing special but if you starts eating it you will realize it’s addicting and can’t stop eating it. That’s my first impression when I first ate Chippy. 🤣 Clover Chips is my fave!

one of my exes was filipino and i had this one snack that i really likes but i cannot remember the name anymore :c it was like the same texture as cheese puffs but they were little balls that came in both savoury and sweet flavours. you could get chocolate, caramel, and salted from what i remember. they may have had others but that’s all i remember seeing lol

I didn’t know they have Cheepee in bigger bags now. When I was a kid, they only have it in smaller packs and it’s mostly just sold in sari-sari stores for 1peso. Sweet Corn was also originally sold in smaller packs but the difference is that Sweet Corn is readily sold in grocery stores in my province that’s why I’m aware of it in big bags. The struggles of a probinsyana :( I need to get my hands on that Cheepee, i missed it so much.

I really like the “golden sweet corn”. It’s so fun eating that especially while watching a movie. That’s one of my favorite snack since I was a child and even now I’m in abroad I buy it on a filipino store.

I think whats special about snacks is that it brings memories back when you have nothing but aimple life. And it reminds you how far you are right now from that life. But you start to miss it.

I tried most of these snacks before when I was in the Philippines, and one thing I noticed- the snacks packed on a smaller bags taste different than the bigger one. I don't it's a weird observation lol.

    As a filipino, i prefer Piattos Sour Cream, Choco Knots, Ri-Chee, Pee-wee, Cheez-it, Nagaraya(green) and Cracklings(best).
