Aye... Yes, you've heard the tales too, haven't you? About the fog. About the ravens... Yes, don't lie, I see it in your eyes. You've seen it in your dreams. That crooked dirt road flanked by twisted trees and twisted people, things in the forest... and that castle. I've seen it too. It beckons you, whispers out to you. Calls you into its shadows. It means the veil between our realm and their's grows thin once more. Soon the mists will curl out, and collect another batch of souls to drag into its confines. I've seen it. It's happened here more than once in my lifetime. People just... walking into nothingness. Not just here, the fog goes where it pleases... People from a dozen worlds and a dozen realms, all brought to that wretched place... Barovia. Aye, Barovia. Wont find it on any map, wont find any old scholar who knows its history, its a land that's been lost to time, and maybe its better that way. But evil is never know to stay quiet. It makes sure it's remembered. Like a ghost, it flits in and out, in and out. But the ghosts aren't what you should be worrying about. Nor the undead shambling in the woods. You should worry about the lord, his pet dogs, and some of the nastier folk who call that place home. Desperation drives men to do mad things, and that place is a monument to it. Desperation, broken dreams, and lost things of all kinds. Wont be long now. The mists will come, they'll claim more. Maybe you'll make a difference. Maybe you wont. But I get the feeling that there's something special about you lot, and maybe, just maybe, you'll be the ones who break that damnable curse upon that damnable land.
Upon the damnable land you rise from the grave and fog will show the sun has hidden and it knows what’s coming from below, people on the earth don’t know but you. When the time comes you’ll appear in the fog in the night even if it’s still day, the clouds cover the sun and you come out and scare the living on the land and you shale remain when the time is done. I love the fact how well written the poem is.
_Who let you out of your cage..? This charade of yours has gone on long enough, it is time to come home; no more stories; no more warnings; no more cautionary tales to steer the hopeful away from the mists. It seems that in your time away, you have forgotten your purpose in coming here.._ _and now it is done. The Master has many questions, and you will be made to answer them all.._ ~ Rahadin, the Devilhound.

"What is it that calls you to such a place? Duty? Knowledge? Revenge? Or merely Fate? Your journey will take you into the Dark itself, to a land that preys upon its people. You clutch onto steel and 'faith', but you are far from the sight of your 'gods'. Lost in the Mist, where only the dead will find you. Seek those cursed halls if you will, but know this - you cannot make demands of The Devil. For He is the Ancient, He is the Land. And you... are trespassers."
Need to look at Witchlight, it seems quite interesting. Perhaps I can use some of it in the domains that I have planned for after they defeat Strahd and Vampyr
When I was running my campaign, we went off the trail a bit to run a quest in the feywild and around that time, I used your soundtracks from ToA and RotFM a lot. I'm so hyped for this since I've been waiting for your soudntrack for that campaign since then! Also, in an encounter with the Green Knights of Titania, I ended used your paragon soundtrack, and it was perfect! Thanks for your hard work!
I’ve gotta say, I have used your soundtracks for both CoS games I have run and your Waterdeep soundtrack. Myself and my players love your music. Especially your “Dancing with the Wolves” soundtrack. They hum along every time I start it for combat. Fantastic composition.
Hearing lyrics in a new track for the melody we've all listened to for countless hours and countless sessions moves me to tears - I can't wait to use this at just the right time in the campaign
I love all the references to the other tracks, like the organs reminiscent of "He is the Ancient, He is the Land" and those strings at the very beginning
I'm running CoS and used this piece to set the tone. My players were hounded by Werewolves. Some of them contracted Lycanthropy. Worse than that... one of them died. Strahd arrived to observe the sorry state of the once-hopeful adventurers... before dissipating into the night as a cloud of bats, fluttering and vanishing into the mists. Great music as always Travis! I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this when you premiered it and I'm certain it will remain as iconic as your original CoS soundtrack for years and years to come!
im totally going to use this album for my CoS campaing, I want to make an intro pretending to be Madame Eva telling a story as I reveal cards from the tarokka deck (i have one that is custom made from etsy) and this in the background is just the cherry on top.
I would pay for a sequal to your Curse of Strahd stuff. I'm prepping a homebrew gothic horror game and your stuff is my bread and butter for its soundscape.
I'm planning on using this for the final combat encounter against Vampyr, after having used the rest of the soundtrack regularly throughout the campaign to establish the musical motifs (I also used Bloody Tears variations for Strahd combat, with the an Epic remix of that for the final battle against him). Hoping to get a "Live and Learn" vibe with "omg the song has lyrics??" and a somber, dark tone for the final battle.
Oh what perfect timing. Next session my party is going to meet Strahd for dinner and I think this will be perfect to set the tone as they make their trek to Castle Ravenloft for the first time
"What delicious terror resides upon the night winds this eve? Ah....a traveling set of souls seeking respite? Come in, come in out of the mists you look far too cold. Here have a dream pie it won't bite. But remember that this land is old, and the Devil himself is even older."
This is so beautiful. We've used every single track for our campaign. I hope one day you choose to return to Ravenloft or Barovia because you've just added so much to this setting.
I've been playing your music all throughout my CoS campaign last year, and this came out just in time for the finale! Looks like our last few sessions will have a new intro theme :D
I wish I have a good scene for this and give it description but sadly Im not running CoS for my players but a homebrew campaign but this is good music for a serial killer bossfight.
Your soundtracks have brought Barovia to life, and each standalone single you’ve released since “Into the Mists” has been particularly special. “Waltzing Shadows” is the Barovia theme in my mind, iconic in the same sense as the John Williams score that plays whenever Hogwarts castle is on the screen. This is a chilling and somber epilogue, perhaps even something to play in the grimmest ending of the campaign, where Strahd triumphs over the Player Characters or returns from death as the dread cycle of his curse begins anew. A fresh party of adventurers finds themselves on the edges of Barovia Village, as Strahd watches stoically from the overlook of Ravenloft, perhaps with some level of sad resignation, deep down, that all of this has happened before, and all of this will happen again.
I am truly happy that my music made you feel that way! I don't think I will ever compare to John Williams but I am deeply flattered by the comparison, my friend. I wish you the best with your upcoming adventures!
Oh WOW! I swear, Curse of Strahd is the dark gift that keeps on giving! I already loved your album, and this is just another cherry on top of a very delicious cake (especially with the singing - adding another variant to use when running this campaign)! Wonderful quality! Really excited to hear the upcoming tracks with the new instruments :) Will this be added to the albums on Bmandcamp?
This is great, I’m a huge fan of Into the Mists and I’m currently using it in a CoS campaign I’m currently doing. This couldn’t have come at a better time, thank you 😁👍🏻
Awesome work man! Going to use this for the rest of my CoS campaign when i find sometime to restart it. Id really love to see extra long extended editions of those soundtracks to be able to use them for long sessions
Man i love all of these tracks! i bought curse of strahd for my campaign and using it happily :D i'd hoped that maybe there is something for valaki, but you cant have it all. thanks for these nice works of art! Big fan!
I'm affraid I didnt think ahead with this one and it's my fault! Since it's a "test" project, I didnt think of selling it and uploading it on spotify. It's only available on youtube for the moment and I want you to know that I truly appreciate your interest in supporting my work!
IM SO EXCITED! I haven't played my curse of strahd game with my boyfriend in months due to college obligations but we will be able to play again after April. I know you have other soundtracks to make but didn't you say in a live stream once that you will 'Re-vamp' the COS playlist or make a part 2? Otherwise, its been a long time since I have heard your music and very cool experimenting with singers!
Once again, magnificent work sir!I cannot stress enough how much you have helped as a DM when I am doing my prepwork.Truly inspirational.(PS: I know its an unpopular ask but i am currently DMing "Call of the Netherdeep", the newest book from Matt Mercer.I think you should check it out.
So I’m looking around for a song to use with my WIP intro video to a Curse of Strahd game in the near future, would I have permission to use this? (providing proper credit of course). It’s beautifully created and seems perfect for what I may do.

I am, so very very very excited
I am SO using this for a combat encounter instead of the usual fast paced stuff, imagine how dire and brooding this would make things

That's how amazing Curse of Strahd is. We keep coming back to it :)
Couldnt agree more!
It is definitely one of the best 5e pre-writtens. It is so fun to dm!
Confused mortal... you never left Barovia.
The cycle goes on.
"What is it that calls you to such a place? Duty? Knowledge? Revenge? Or merely Fate?

Is this a second soundtrack?! If so I am SO down for that. Use your "Into the mist" album for the campaign that I'm running right now
Unfortunately it's only a single track! It seems witchlight will be the next album :)!
Need to look at Witchlight, it seems quite interesting. Perhaps I can use some of it in the domains that I have planned for after they defeat Strahd and Vampyr
@@RPGMusicMaker j’ai vraiment hâte d’entendre ça Travis !
@@RPGMusicMaker Disappointing. Witchlight might make an interesting album, but I’m not fond of the quest, and I quite dislike its take on the Feywild.

I am truly honored! Thank you for sharing my music with your friends!
I am in love with this! I love these darker themes, the Into the Mist album is still my absolute favourite!
Always a pleasure to hear!

The curse of strahd soundtrack is one of my favorites(the other is descent into avernus) so I'm glad you made an additional piece for it!
I like to revisit it from time to time! I am truly happy that you enjoyed it :)
What? Another Curse Of Strahd masterpiece? Bring it on! :D I love your tracks!
Thank you so much! It means a lot to me and im really happy that you enjoyed it :D
Can't wait! I have been using all of your pieces in my CoS campaign and me and my players are just in love with them. Great work!
I wish you all a lot of fun with the rest of the campaign!!
More curse of strahd stuff. This is perfect. Amazing job with the theme of curse of strahd.
Absolutely wonderful update to hear this! Great instrumentation and use of lyrics, with a great performance by Lexa One for the later!
Im about to play curse of strahd with a group again and this will be a perfect adition to the old ones. Im hyped already.
Every single one of your COS tracks slaps. Keep it up!
Thank you so much!!
No, thank you. Even two years after the playlist, I listen to it on the daily.
I'm running CoS and used this piece to set the tone. My players were hounded by Werewolves. Some of them contracted Lycanthropy. Worse than that... one of them died. What a gift it is to get more of this amazing music for curse of strahd. You are truly the best at what you do
im totally going to use this album for my CoS campaing, I want to make an intro pretending to be Madame Eva telling a story as I reveal cards from the tarokka deck (i have one that is custom made from etsy) and this in the background is just the cherry on top.
Great to hear you revisit this absolute classic!
Always a pleasure!
I would pay for a sequal to your Curse of Strahd stuff. I'm prepping a homebrew gothic horror game and your stuff is my bread and butter for its soundscape.
Yoo I'm DMing curse of strahd like WHEN this goes live! The timing!
I'm planning on using this for the final combat encounter against Vampyr, after having used the rest of the soundtrack regularly throughout the campaign to establish the musical motifs (I also used Bloody Tears variations for Strahd combat, with the an Epic remix of that for the final battle against him). BRO LEAVE SOME SKILL FOR THE REST OF US GODDAMN THIS SHIT IS AWESOME, THE GOAT RETURNS WITH MORE FIRE MUSIC
amazing work! i just loved the CoS album and now, i have another gift. Just thank you.

This is absolutely beautiful and haunting at the same time. It's perfect for a wedding at Castle Ravenloft.
Thank you so much!
You are crazy sir! Im glad i still run my Strahd so i can use this track. But i am not 100% sure when. Its very nice for ending suite.
I would suggest for the introduction or the ending of a session :) I am truly happy that you enjoyed it!
Magnifique comme toujours Travis ! J’ai bien hâte d’utiliser cette trame pour ma prochaine campagne de Dark Fantasy.
Toujours un plaisir Maxime! Merci de supporter mon travail :)
This is so beautiful. We've used every single track for our campaign. I hope one day you choose to return to Ravenloft or Barovia because you've just added so much to this setting.
ANd I though you couldn't beat "Into the Mist"! Excellent work, sir. I think that'll be playing when my CoS campaign ends.
Welcome back to the mists, Mr. Savoie.
I've been playing your music all throughout my CoS campaign last year, and this came out just in time for the finale! Looks like our last few sessions will have a new intro theme :D
Simply breathtakingly good.
This.
This is the best track you've done. So far. Bravo.
I wish I have a good scene for this and give it description but sadly Im not running CoS for my players but a homebrew campaign but this is good music for a serial killer bossfight.

Really excited to hear the upcoming tracks with the new instruments :)
Will this be added to the albums on Bmandcamp?
Oh man another CoS banger let's go. What's the intent behind this one?
Make music
I'm so excited that you keep making more curse of strahd pieces! This is fantastic! Keep up the good work!!

Upping the ante with live instruments man, nice! If you need throat singing, tagelharpe or kravik lyre I'm your orc.

How does one create such a great composition? I'm really curious about the back stages of how do you do it. And congratulations for the great work
I plan on doing a video about it. Thank you for your kind words my friend, i am glad that you enjoyed it!
Love your Ravenloft album would love to purchase this song. It's not included in the into the mists on band camp. Is there a way to purchase it?
Will this end up on Spotify? It's so good!
So I’m looking around for a song to use with my WIP intro video to a Curse of Strahd game in the near future, would I have permission to use this? (providing proper credit of course). It’s beautifully created and seems perfect for what I may do.
Баровия... Возвращается!
…do we have lyrics?
We do!
