  • 燕地方の銅器業は、江戸時代中期に、仙台の渡り職人がその技術を伝えたところから始まったとされています。地元の弥彦山から採れた銅を用いて、やかん類が生産されていました。
    The technique for crafting tsuiki ("hand-hammered") copperware spread to Tsubame from Sendai in the mid 18th century. Kettles were some of the first items made using the locally mined copper.

    It feels so good to see copper Smith all around the world cause my dad is also a coppersmith in India I grew up watching my dad do this work with all dedication. lots of respect from India grandpa 🙂
