He's the owner of the big house, sure, and the whole farm, but he would go live in the new house , and leave the old house for his brother who wants to have a family, and thus need the space. Whatever would Chaz want such a big house for? Better to build himself a new house, more suited to his needs and preferences, closer to the animals, easier to maintain.. I would say, " get the new, modern house for yourself! " but knowing Chaz I don't think it will be modern in that sense. Anyway, why would bigger be better? If you have absolutely no need for the space?

I realize that Chaz is the original owner and Trenton was brought on to be the farmhand, but they are family and honestly after all this time they seem to be very close (just look at how they wouldn’t stop talking to one another during the chess/cross stitching time). Chaz loves his farm but he loves the land and his accomplishments more than the house. Besides, he had a really bad relationship with his dad so I can see him really wanting a great life for all his nieces and nephews. He loves the thought of a little solitude from the rest of the family so likely he’s the one who built the second house, but he wants to still be there and watch and help all his nieces and nephews to grow up and learn to love the land as much as he does.

I think he seems practical and would insist when they have kids that ofc they should have the big house and he "likes living closer to the animalsheds anyways". He just doesnt seem to be a person fussed with having loads of space for the sake of it and they already dont use all the rooms in that big house. I could see him almost getting a little mad at trenton if he insisted chaz should stay in the big house with a sense of "what should I have all these rooms for when you could use them more"
I kinda like the idea of the smaller house being entirely finished by furniture Hazel and Trenton craft. Of course with a few exceptions, but it adds to the cottage charm if things are homemade.
Chaz being an uncle is going to be so cute! And I like the idea that he keeps the house he worked so hard to get after starting in that ally. To save money you could take some of hazels furniture(especially the upgraded stuff) from her old place to put in the new house. Also since she is a designer, the idea that she designed the new house on the farm is a cute idea :)
Chaz should definitely stay in main house. Its his farm. Hazel can fully decorate new house. Main house could be used for most of the things and activities but when the night hits they can just get back to their peaceful place and rest.
I disagree. Hazel and Trenton just tried for a baby. They are gonna need more rooms than Chaz would. Especially if Chaz doesn't plan on having kids or even getting married. Plus I think he would rather have the smaller house so he can escape from the craziness of the bigger house. So instead of everyone coming to his, he can escape to his on private place

@@Ramidra I appreciate your opinion too, but Hazel can redecorate the main house to fit, and it's the sims while you can have aspects of real life its really about what works better in game and I feel like Chaz, the single childless man, who also would rather have a more private house, would do better in the new build. Like yes while it was initially Trenton has the farmhand, he has become an equal especially with Hazel helping out on the farm, which wasn't initially the plan.

I agree with everyone here about Chaz keeping the Main House 🏠. Yes, it is Chaz’s farm but has soon as Trenton came it became Their Farm. I also like the idea that Trenton and Hazel starting their lives on the farm but in a new place. And since Hazel is pregnant ( I saw her motion of the throw-up and baby rattle popup), they can expand their little Aussie cottage. For Chaz, expand the kitchen so the whole family can cook Sunday dinners together at the Main House. And make Kim become a roommate for Chaz at the main house. I'm loving this LP

It is not "their farm", Chaz is the full owner and all the funds came from him. Trenton started out as a farm hard, working for room and board, he should get a portion of the profits, but not the big house.

And Chaz would be paying more for mortgage. Also Trenton is the one who did most of the upgrades of the farm, in IRL they don’t do that for free. Hey James, welcome back! Brazilian viewer here :) I thought of a couple sugestions. So here they go: For the Main House: - Upstairs: a master suite for Chaz (he deserves it); a big full bathroom (tub, shower, kids chest with water toys...); a big office now that they have the store, the farm, kids documents, personal and pets docs - Dowstairs: maybe an open living, dining and kitchen so they can all hangout together and have a great time (Chaz would want to give them what he's never had). For the Second House (thinking about Trenton and Hazel): - since there's so much in the main house, their space could be focused on the bedrooms. Perhaps a simple small kitchen - for midnight sneaky snacks - and a bigger balcony or garden space with seating to enjoy the morning view with a cup of coffee (and a baby in her arms for Hazel). For the Store: - Upstairs could be Hazel interior design and painting office space. Well... said a couple ideas/sugestions but seem to be way more. Maybe I'm too invested... :S
It would be cool if Hazel picked up knitting and cross-stitching so she could knit baby onesies. Then she could have a home business selling her creations.

That's why I think that it is best for Chaz. He would want more privacy and his own place away from family. So he can go to them, but he can also escape rather than kicking his family out.
Same here, it almost looked like it had it's own farmyard area, enclosed by the shed and the background building. A lot of farms I've been to in the UK have that sort of layout.
I was deeply saddened when he got rid of the debug trees. It added a layer of privacy. And I too feel like the small house is more of a Chaz thing, unless he plans on kids.

Okay, the idea of the family harvesting everything in the farm, going to the store, all of them cooking there together some pies and sauces and then selling them is the most heart-warming image.
I feel like the new house should be Hazels and Trentons. This is Chaz's farm and it wouldn't be fair to kick him out of his house. You could always expand the new house to be bigger if you want more kids in future :)

That farmhouse is just the most amazing nostalgic thing. Reminds me of my grandma's house that she had her whole life until recently. Hers was set on red brick foundations and sat at the top of a hill with paddocks all around. Very Australian ❤

I started a game with a single sim and a cat. I’ve played with tons of cats in the past but this time was nuts. She ran away and when she came back she was puking everywhere. I gave her a vet treat. Nothing happened. So come to find out she’s pregnant. So she has 4 kittens. So it’s me and 5 cats. Not a day later my cat comes back pregnant again and has 2 more kittens. I have so many cats 😂 all over the counters, scratching furniture, eating the sims food and chicken food. My sims friends hate coming over because the cats try to fight them. All on top of keeping chickens, a cow, birds, bees,rabbits. 😂

I humbly request you rotate Chaz’s house back to where it started. I think it was more aesthetically interesting because it contrasted with the main house, plus he had a lovely view of the pond.
I'm pretty sure that the plan was to put the crafted toilet in the outhouse and then move the entire outhouse to the back of the lot by the wind turbines. 🙂
When I do chimneys like that, I tend to recess them into the bump out and raise it up on a platform. That way there is more room in the living room area for other things.
I'm more for Hazel and Trenton living in the smaller house, maybe expanding it a little as time goes by, and Hazel definitely renovating it when they need to ! The big house can be Chaz's but also like a family house, so the main floor can for example be common to the whole family, while Chaz has his bedroom upstairs, and the small house would mostly be for bedrooms, small kitchen, bathrooms, and maybe an office (or the office(s) could be on the first floor of the main house)
I see them all as one big family so It doesn't make a difference who lives where, I like the idea of the big house being a family house tho and the small one being more of a guest house/place to get away from the family. If Chaz is feeling overwhelmed or wants some alone time then he can go somewhere secluded and quiet for a while and same with all them, with Hazel maybe she might want one of the rooms in the small house to be an art studio, somewhere just for her. It can be something they all share but most of the time, it's the family house that's the busy and full one, while the small house is more practical.
I personally feel like Chaz should stay in the main house. whether or not Trenton wants to grow his family with Hazel, the fact that they are brothers mean that there should be some degree of respect for Chaz who bought the land from nothing and built the house from the ground up. realistically things like this won't go down easily especially after how hard Chaz worked to get to that point, so if Trenton and Hazel are planning to expand their family, just make the second house bigger instead.
James and Deli must have made some pretty good memories at that little house, because they both fell in love with it. It's cute and all, but I feel like it holds some magic for them beyond its architecture :)

I could see Trenton and Hazel starting in the small house together, starting out as a couple. Later on Chaz may want to switch with them when the family is bigger. I could see him being happy in a small place and enjoying the privacy as things become more bustling with littles around. Plus that would mean more renovations for Hazel!

I don't know you told you that the pies made on a simple living lot don't sell for money, but mine (made and sold on a simple living lot) sells for around 500 buck each (at the selling table, don't know if it changes something)

I love when sims is just being... sims :D With all the random weird things, robots, scarecrows, cowplants... It's so much fun. I get that some people want hyperrealistic gameplay etc., but them saying that "we all want a more realistic gameplay" is a total lie. I love this weird part of the game :D

Love love love the new little house on the farm. Brings back memories from when I grew up on a british farm. We did something like this a few years ago, we had some outbuildings in the garden, one was a gym and the other was a playroom for me as a kid, but when we grew up, my parents converted it into a 2 bed bungalow that my grandparents moved into. My grandad died a few months ago, but my grandma still lives there and she said it's the best thing they ever did and wished they did it sooner.
You should furnish the house with stuff from Hazel’s house. It makes sense to combine their stuff because that’s what happens in real life.

That's why I think that it is best for Chaz. He would want more privacy and his own place away from family. So he can go to them, but he can also escape rather than kicking his family out.
Same here, it almost looked like it had it's own farmyard area, enclosed by the shed and the background building. A lot of farms I've been to in the UK have that sort of layout.
I was deeply saddened when he got rid of the debug trees. It added a layer of privacy. And I too feel like the small house is more of a Chaz thing, unless he plans on kids.

I feel like the new house should be Hazels and Trentons. This is Chaz's farm and it wouldn't be fair to kick him out of his house. You could always expand the new house to be bigger if you want more kids in future :)
But that just makes more work for James. Chaz is the one that's more focused on the land, I think hed like the smaller house. Plus he can escape to his private house rather than having to kick out his family since they've gotten so close. Plus he would want the best for his nieces and nephews to have that bigger house.
Yeah - the big house is Chas'... If the other two need a bigger house, then Hazel can do an "Add Level" renovation, to improve it!

Even though the brother run it together, Chaz was the one to start the farm and make it what it is today. I think it would be kinda cute to have Trenton and Hazel in the small house with their baby. I think Hazel could make it really pretty on the inside!
Chaz should keep the big house. He can just host his niblings should they crop up and run outta room at the small house. Plus it'd be fun to see Hazel's style there since the farmhouse already kinda has one.

That farmhouse is just the most amazing nostalgic thing. Reminds me of my grandma's house that she had her whole life until recently. Hers was set on red brick foundations and sat at the top of a hill with paddocks all around. Very Australian ❤

I started a game with a single sim and a cat. I’ve played with tons of cats in the past but this time was nuts. She ran away and when she came back she was puking everywhere. I gave her a vet treat. Nothing happened. So come to find out she’s pregnant. So she has 4 kittens. So it’s me and 5 cats. Not a day later my cat comes back pregnant again and has 2 more kittens. I have so many cats 😂 all over the counters, scratching furniture, eating the sims food and chicken food. My sims friends hate coming over because the cats try to fight them. All on top of keeping chickens, a cow, birds, bees,rabbits. 😂
My hometown’s downtown is filled with tons of renovated converted houses turns shops - Gifts on Bagley reminds me fondly of that. Love this LP

I humbly request you rotate Chaz’s house back to where it started. I think it was more aesthetically interesting because it contrasted with the main house, plus he had a lovely view of the pond.
I'm pretty sure that the plan was to put the crafted toilet in the outhouse and then move the entire outhouse to the back of the lot by the wind turbines. 🙂
When I do chimneys like that, I tend to recess them into the bump out and raise it up on a platform. That way there is more room in the living room area for other things.
I'm more for Hazel and Trenton living in the smaller house, maybe expanding it a little as time goes by, and Hazel definitely renovating it when they need to ! The big house can be Chaz's but also like a family house, so the main floor can for example be common to the whole family, while Chaz has his bedroom upstairs, and the small house would mostly be for bedrooms, small kitchen, bathrooms, and maybe an office (or the office(s) could be on the first floor of the main house)
I see them all as one big family so It doesn't make a difference who lives where, I like the idea of the big house being a family house tho and the small one being more of a guest house/place to get away from the family. If Chaz is feeling overwhelmed or wants some alone time then he can go somewhere secluded and quiet for a while and same with all them, with Hazel maybe she might want one of the rooms in the small house to be an art studio, somewhere just for her. It can be something they all share but most of the time, it's the family house that's the busy and full one, while the small house is more practical.

I personally feel like Chaz should stay in the main house. whether or not Trenton wants to grow his family with Hazel, the fact that they are brothers mean that there should be some degree of respect for Chaz who bought the land from nothing and built the house from the ground up. realistically things like this won't go down easily especially after how hard Chaz worked to get to that point, so if Trenton and Hazel are planning to expand their family, just make the second house bigger instead.
James and Deli must have made some pretty good memories at that little house, because they both fell in love with it. It's cute and all, but I feel like it holds some magic for them beyond its architecture :)

I would say bigger house for trenton and hazel, but i feel like thats Chazs house that he worked hard for and built. So he should keep it.
I could see Trenton and Hazel starting in the small house together, starting out as a couple. Later on Chaz may want to switch with them when the family is bigger. I could see him being happy in a small place and enjoying the privacy as things become more bustling with littles around. Plus that would mean more renovations for Hazel!

I love when sims is just being... sims :D With all the random weird things, robots, scarecrows, cowplants... It's so much fun. I get that some people want hyperrealistic gameplay etc., but them saying that "we all want a more realistic gameplay" is a total lie. I love this weird part of the game :D

Love love love the new little house on the farm. Brings back memories from when I grew up on a british farm. We did something like this a few years ago, we had some outbuildings in the garden, one was a gym and the other was a playroom for me as a kid, but when we grew up, my parents converted it into a 2 bed bungalow that my grandparents moved into. My grandad died a few months ago, but my grandma still lives there and she said it's the best thing they ever did and wished they did it sooner.
