I am here for the sink. I am a retired nurse with a pretty strong stomach, but scooping up that nasty water I believe I would have gagged. I swear I could smell it through the screen. Auri’s superpower besides cleaning is an incredibly strong stomach. No mask and with a smile on her face. Props girl.

I did it this morning at 6am (hurray for insomnia) and I just watched the video now at 1:25pm so it kinda felt like I was doing a clean-a-long... just 7 hrs later haha. It's tidy and I use wet wipes every now and again but the surfaces needed a good scrub. I feel a lot of empathy and sadness for what that tenant must've been going through, but I really, really hope Anton gets his legal justice as well. Satisfying as the clean is to watch, this was an unacceptable state to leave his home in. At least with your other videos, the people who owned the place were the direct reason your help was needed.

Same in Canada. You pay a ‘damage deposit’ when you rent somewhere and it’s usually half a months rent. Some places also make you pay a pet deposit if you have pets which can be half or even a full months rent. So if you move out and there is more than just the usual wear and tear they will keep that money. But a lot of times, especially the city I live in where there is A LOT of crime, they trash the whole house and it’s way more to do repairs than a damage deposit will cover. So you’re taking a risk every time you lease to someone and it ruins it for honest, clean people.

My daughter rented out one of her houses, just down the street from where she lived, and the tenants seemed to be soooo nice. Rent payment always on time, yard looked fine, etc. Then suddenly the rent was late, and when my daughter walked into her rental, she discovered the cabinets removed, sink, major appliances and way more. They apparently planned this very carefully, and moved at night. Can’t locate this trash couple. And that’s just one story. I have at least three more just about as bad from my dear friends. So, yeah, for me, chalk it up to bad experience. And by the way, the law protects these psychos to where eviction can take months or longer; it’s interesting to look into. I feel like it has to be only mental health problems that allow it to get THIS bad. Yes some people don’t care about others property and are jerks, but I think even a jerky person wouldn’t let it get like THIS because they would still be sane enough to not want to live in this. Any person without mental health issues would not want to live in anything near this level of dirty. That level of “not caring” isn’t just being an asshole.

I’ve noticed when I watch some of your videos , you have mentioned some viewers have asked, why you don’t buy new mattress . Well I understand you are working with constraints and you only have a certain amount of funds and goods to work with and only have so long to get things done, like you’ve mentioned, you’re there to make it liveable. But I had a brain wave idea, have thought about spraying the mattress with a disinfectant surface spray. In Australia we have a product called Glen 20 all in one disinfectant spray for air, surfaces and fabrics and kills 99.9% of germs. Maybe Finland might have a similar product for you to use or where ever your cleaning takes you. Good idea to help take care of odours and germs on mattress and even couch surfaces. Keep up your magic work😊❤ Anna

So he's not the owner, he subletted the property to someone else, who he didn't check he had renter's insurance... And then his insurance company couldn't do anything about it. But the owner's insurance could and yet decided not to do so. The owner could have paid for all of that. Plus Anton went to Spain and out of nowhere he was in South America?
It's simple... Do NOT sublet properties that YOU DO NOT OWN, and if you do, get insurance in case a tenant trashes the property.
Do not ask people you don't know to "take over your lease" unless you know them A LOT, and you have the owner's approval, and they were checked for insurance, and renter's history.
Or if not, you'll end up like Anton.

It's very common for home insurance in Sweden to not cover when you rent out your whole home.
For me I would expect it to be common knowledge. But maybe I'm wrong.
And there is also a diffence here between "home insurance" which is the only one you need for an apartment (if you not rent it out as a whole) and a "house insurance" which is needed if you have a property/house. In the latter case you normally have a combo of home and house insurance.
What happened in Antons case is considered a minor damage, it could be much worse like extensive water damage which could be extremely expensive.
