Bro this is giving me 13 Flamechasers vibes and im here for it.
So im guessing each one of this sinner come from each major factions in khaenriah like dain is from the royal knight, vedrfolnir probably from the universitas magistrorum, rhinedottir from the alchemist, surtalogi from the beast knight cuz with the pet whale and tamer theme, the wise probably from khaenriah ruin mechanics and the other one i dont know
The 5 sinners and he mentioned them having world shattering powers. They didn't come to save khaenriah during cataclysm or maybe because they stole power from the abyss in the first place could have been the reason of abyssal outbreak in khaenriah. Damn there's so much. All that wait for dain was worth it
@@sunglassfrog89 i think The Wise has a high probability of being Pierro. He is the mastermind behind the Fatui, he is yhe first sinner that Dainsleif mentioned and what greater sin could there be than one of the 6 Pillars of Khaenriah joining the side of an Archon.
@@nothmm8582 it could be so if he the wise then ferir is the mechanics then, but I dont think pierro is the sinner because dainsleif said the 5 sinner is an trancendental being who betray khaenriah and didnt try to defend it when catacalysm but I think in mocking mask artifact pierro tried to warn king irmin or the higher up of khaenriah about the catacalysm but the higher up ignores him. Kinda forget the exact wording but I think pierro tried to save khaenriah too
@@sunglassfrog89 in that case Rhinedottir too was fighting for Khaenri'ah during the Cataclysm but she is called a Sinner
I think what Dainsleif is trying to say is that they betrayed the people by siding with King Irmen because remember King Irmen was already disposed by Marshal Anfortas during the Cataclysm. They probably didnt want to follow the lead of Anfortas isntead of Irmen.
This archon quest not only unveiled more of the Sinners that lead to the Heavenly Principles enacting judgement on Khanrei'ah 500 years ago along with their inaction, it continued Caribert's story where he used the ley lines in Sumeru to leave behind a legacy in Teyvat even if he will only exist in the memories of a few people.
Dain seeing the Abyss Order setting things into motion takes Aether and Paimon to where he hid the eye of the first Ruin Guard and then making sure they get away before Dain himself faces Lumine who came for the eye. During that time, Aether and Paimon continued seeking out the missing villager after noticing the hilichurls have calmed down and they find Caribert. Caribert takes Aether to his inner world to explain his actions and how he made it to where Lumine succeeds in getting the Eye from Dain and finishing the Loom of Fate. Caribert explains the Loom of Fate being a device that allows the user to control Ley Lines and likely influence time and space in the world. Caribert made sure the Loom can be completed so that he can bring peace to the Hilichurls at least those in Sumeru. Having finally achieved his plans he disappeared for good.
After Caribert passes on, Aether and Lumine meet again and the two talked for a bit. Lumine unveils Dain held back from killing her leading to his defeat and her plans for the Loom of Fate likely to use against the Heavenly Principles for cursing the people of Khanrei'ah to eternal damnation. She also reveals why the Heavenly Principles hasn't taken notice is because they have gone dormant since the Cataclysm as if they have closed their eyes to Teyvat and its' people. She tells Aether of where she found herself at the end of her journey along with how her war against the Heavenly Principles has taken its toll on her.
Before Aether could say anything or speak his mind about what she is doing, the inner space created by Caribert begins to collapse due to Caribert's departure. Both Lumine and Aether are ejected not remembering their reunion. Aether and Paimon afterwards tell the Vimara villagers of Caribert and the memories he has left behind remained with them. Aether despite not being able to remember his reunion with his sister finds a photo of him and Lumine sitting by the lake unable to think of what to say and him in the middle. He tells Aether and Lumine to get along with each other. He leaves behind one piece of what was forgotten while hoping Aether and Lumine whose relationship became strained by time and fate could get along one day.
One thing that I love about this game is that this game provides a legit backstory and screentime to NPCs. NPCs like Melus, Silver, Caribert, etc. will always remain in my heart... ☺
This quest was a lot of chilling moments. That was a splendid quest.

Man this stupid "your memory will be wiped after" is really bad decision why do they keep dragging this over and over jfc at least have MC remember that he already saw his sister.

Only if they've added Lumine vs Deinsleif, imagine how peak this quest could have become among Genshin's story quests.
True, even a short glimpse of the fight would have been appreciated even if they don't want to show who ends up being the victor.

It was a freaking lore bomb if you paid attention to the lore even the slightest
