and, especially with what happened at Brazil; Max was truly this year's deserving champion - although Max's defending at COTA took the letter of the rules to their absolute brink (it was still all legal) Lando simply couldn't compete - partly because McLaren didn't do as good a job as Red Bull at managing their two drivers but equally because Max absolutely has the edge on him as a driver. Red Bull didn't develop a low drag rear wing due to it only been used at Monza and Las Vegas. In these events they brought a modifiable rear wing so the development time didn't come out of the development recourses.
Sainz had every right not to yield. Leclerc was out of the championship so it didn't actually matter which order the Farraris finished, so long as they got 3rd and 4th, it makes no difference to the constructors.
Also, after the first stint, they pitted Leclerc before Sainz, even though Sainz was in front and also indicated his tyres were fried. So basically, they try to let Leclerc undercut his teammate, screw up Sainz' pitstop, give Sainz team orders to let Leclerc through twice and Charles still complain. They should have a talk...
Also if the radio came anywhere near how it played on tv the timing of the radio was just wrong, SAniz got the message not to pas Charles, when he was already pasing him
Leclerc cooked his tires fighting Russell at the front. I am almost suspicious he got floor damage tangling with Russell with how quickly he fell off. It was a night and day difference.

I agree that Las Vegas should be the final race of the year. However, the track is quite unique in comparison to the other tracks and could cause top teams to fumble when it is a "title decider" type of race.
When the other driver is 5 mil ( team total 7 mil) in crash damages that takes budget out of advancements, hence the wing issue. RB are openly telling it because they waiting for final decision on Checo after the final race. As Lawson and Tsunoda are both in there own fight for Construstors as a team. So RedBull is buying its time. This is called management at its best. Oh yeah rememeber, reduced budget of 135 mil this year and RB overshot 140 mil. Last year... So add that into contention they shd be on a thin rope. Similar Merc they openly declared no more upgrades due to buget limitations.
I don't think it's a mistake that they didn't have the correct wing with them; they simply didn't make a wing for this circuit because, due to the budget cap, they prioritized other things. That's quite a difference.
Yeah all fairness to Vegas, I concede to the fact it has given us a pretty solid race with very little hiccups and no life threating events for the drivers. I really would not mind it having the finale of the season. It would be a damn size better than the likes of Abu Dhabi or Jedah. And to your point Laws, we have plenty of tracks deserving of being the final race of the season but only one gets that honor. But its better for the sport as a whole that we get these brilliant tracks spread throughout the season.
@@yoeriw7099true, but also George was one of the few drivers who didn’t go over track limits last year, so if the same rules are in place, could make it interesting
I watched the race, it was ok, I guess. The race remains a flat track street circuit that is as interesting as the inside of an empty drawer. I am glad they tuned down the celebrity BS although they still got more coverage than they deserved. F1 was still only a side show of the weekend so no, this GP will never rank as anything particular as a race weekend - it was no better than the Miami race. Certainly has nothing on the Austin / COTA race. I personally think F1 could have more wisely spent the money on a dedicated track in the Las Vegas area served by an adequate and cost effective rail service - for both teams and spectators - to respond to the sustainability goals.
Charles should man up, if he wants to finish P2 in the WDC he should have passed Carlos on pace and merit. Even after Carlos got screwed over that pit call, he still finished ahead of Charles.
If checo instead of passing that masterful overtake has had crashed, perhaps would allow Verstappen to get 4th or 3rd and get more points for red bull xD
I have never bought into the Lawson hype, just as I have not into the Colapinto hype. That they are potentially excellent drivers, there is no doubt. They simply do not have the maturity and the earned racecraft that one earns in the lower categories and the lower end of the grid. That they could get to the top is a certainty, but both need at least 2 years in "lower" machinery and for this, Lawson has the advantage as he has a drive on that he is in a team that alreaady has a space (if not 2) available. The one thing I really do like about these two is their attitude, especially Franco who comes off as posessing more humility. I do see both being potential future WC's - they are simply not ready yet, give it a couple of seasons.
A season to be proud of from Lando & a great summary from him. This driver has really grown this year, looking forward to witnessing this team, with Lando, capitalize on their 1st experience at the front next year!
The tickets aren’t selling because they’ve priced everyone out. Semi local to Las Vegas and it’s less expensive for me to fly to just about any other GP
I dont, starting from pitlane to P14 with a totally new card with spare parts and new setup to me is pretty good, and teams value that fans not so much.
Mclaren will be limping to the finish line, but still winning constructors , Sainz will rear his vengeful self WATCH... honestly I still don't see how Piastri is a loser, he's finally UNSHACKLED of being Norris' point boy, its all even team wise now, and as 2nd year driver he's proven winner for both his McLaren future and for going to another teams consideration, sounds like a winner to me. So some of the British crybabies are angry, they were going to be harsh no matter how it ended.
9:57 - That and the regulation says “Crossing the white line **on pit entry**” - as in, whilst entering the pits, Carlos was not doing a pit entry, he took the corner outside of track limits. Baku has an added race director note about the white line on pit entry rule also applying on non pit entries. It’s probably where the confusion comes from. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
For people who pay attention to Ferrari this newest development with Carlos isn’t anything new. Carlos only cares about team orders when they benefit him and has no problem screwing over the team and Charles for himself. Including giving Max DRS this race to keep Charles away. Or in Mexico when he complained anytime Charles got even close to him which led to Charles being told to ease off and ultimately he lost a position because of it. Or in China where he raced Charles so hard he almost crashed them both out despite them being told to keep things low risk and think of the team. To Carlos’s own admission that cost them places. Carlos has a history of prioritizing himself in the race, costing the team, and then turning around and lying/denying to the media about what he’s done. IMO this has been building and Charles has been too nice about it. It’s frustrating to see him being told off for losing his cool without people actually understanding the history here.
Le Clerc needs to take a step back. He is protected at Ferrari, Sainz go the bum’s rush a year in advance because Ferrari had a fanboy moment. What does he expect from Sainz? Ferrari have been clear they don’t rate Sainz enough to give him some respect, so why should he kowtow to their current golden boy. Despite the shabby treatment Sainz has worked hard for his ungrateful employers.
LawVS as a Lewis fan it was really promising seeing Lewis go through the field and putting in an excellent performance in the race. What do you think about his performance?
Great to see, but his own mistake in Q3 and delayed overtaking of Leclerc didn't help him in his bid to win. But the fact he was in with a good chance of it is encouraging.
Maybe a hot take, but Lando was never going to win. He was overhyped by the media (to his detriment) and only really had a 5 race streak where he put points on Max. Since Monaco Max has consistantly outperformed Lando over the races. Lando is the worst drive to have the best car in over 25 years (read that again before you get angry, I didnt say he is a bad driver, but he is the worst of the drivers to sit in a fastest car) so it does baffel me that people were serious about Lando having a shot at winning.
It doesn't snow in Vegas, cold rain yes, and here's a tip, to those not familiar with the Sonoran desert area here in North America, the nights in the winter are freezing cold... the only reason why Vegas will continue to be a Saturday night, passed 10pm pacific time race, is because the hotels in Las Vegas Strip, which own the city, want it that way.

His start on Hards was. actually good and the pace was better than expected. Redbull kept him out on the hards 2 more laps then they should of. Then they waited one lap too long to switch back to the hards. Checo didn't pass Yuki because of their pass fight with haas
Checo deserved to be screwed
For Bottas....Mercedes is coming back to endurance racing and who knows....their AMG 1 possible hypercar might be entered in and Bottas might enter under the Mercedes banner....
"Did Ferrari make a mistake" should be put to rest. When Lewis has a stable car under him, he shows up and fights out.
What an amazing drive by George as well, extremely extremely underrated driver.
Kinda weird seeing your recaps on Sunday rather than the usual Monday.
I agree that Las Vegas should be the final race of the year. However, the track is quite unique in comparison to the other tracks and could cause top teams to fumble when it is a "title decider" type of race.
Fastest winners and losers upload ever!
I doubt it really matters that Lance didn’t have the radio since the team strategy for him is basically “just go out there and have fun”
Still dont understand what lecrec means. He is the more agressive with team mates.
But its better for the sport as a whole that we get these brilliant tracks spread throughout the season.
i’m glad that lewis got a 1-2 finish but i fear the next two races will be a nightmare finish for merc
I don’t know. George is really good at Qatar’s undulating track. I could see a podium, but they likely won’t have this pace.
they said so themselves, the hotter tracks don't suit the car
@@yoeriw7099true, but also George was one of the few drivers who didn’t go over track limits last year, so if the same rules are in place, could make it interesting
Uh bro, as a Vegas local, this city is the entertainment capital NOT the sports capital. NOT EVEN CLOSE
I like Carlos and the “try talking to him in Spanish” was great
I was a life long ferrari fan and Chef that hopes The American team comes on in 2026 which I will surly be my team
Charles should man up, if he wants to finish P2 in the WDC he should have passed Carlos on pace and merit. Even after Carlos got screwed over that pit call, he still finished ahead of Charles.
such a good race, i can’t wait until this can be the finale proper
If F1 is going to use the Las Vegas GP as it's penultimate race in the future then Pirelli is going to have to develop some Ice tires. 🥶
Love LawVS videos
Cant wait for zhou/leclerc lineup so charels can breathe and dominate
MAX VERSTAPPEN 4XWDC 🇳🇱🧡 SIMPLY LOVELY 🇳🇱🧡
The Constructors championship is the one that will go down to the end 😊
All hail Super M4X.
Yes, our stint begins 😂
That is the whole point. There is not a seat for Col (that we know) for him to grown in.
Both in RB as teammates could be so fun to watch.
It would be outrages if Red Bull won't put Tsunoda next to Max.
Zhou is my winner, so close
Williams are experiencing what i would call a doomsday scenario
Charles had a solid No. 2 driver mindset. Lewis will have his fun with him 😂😂
I dont think you need to give checo a pass this weekend. Horner has been doing that all season 😂
Sainz will never get to a top team again with that attitude. He's a great driver but nor Merc or RB wanted him.
Im proud of Saniz. He is racing for himself but many racers whow snt success do that. Lewis will be the same and Charles needs to realize that
A season to be proud of from Lando & a great summary from him.
This driver has really grown this year, looking forward to witnessing this team, with Lando, capitalize on their 1st experience at the front next year!
Oh my god... You say some nonsense but saying you see Max as RBR team principal is a new low for you!
What? He might want to one day run the team.
Maybe Max was talking about waiting for him at the airport or the pub😂
Fear and loathing at maranello… the man from madrid… the monaco menace
The tickets aren’t selling because they’ve priced everyone out. Semi local to Las Vegas and it’s less expensive for me to fly to just about any other GP
True but hopefully prices will come down more in line with other races.
@ truly hope so! I do think the grandstand deal they partnered with Lewis on is a step in the right direction
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The camera angle didn't help.
You didn’t bring up McLaren Law?
25:26 bro he is currently logan 2.0 🤣
I dunno why Fernando needs a fountain of youth. He is still a rookie
"No more mister nice guy 🙂↔️🤬"
wait, which driver has gotten the most points since imola this year?
If Lec is complain about Sainz now... Get ready to see him crying next year as Lewis battle him over the cookies in breakfast even...
Why do people make as if Mclaren had the fastest car all season? Did Redbull not have a second a half advantage at the start of the season.
Max said himself that Red Bull didn't have the fastest car for two thirds of the year.
As long as f1 makes the race at 1 am est, it will not grow in America
If Las Vegas is to be the last race of the season, let us hope it wont snow
It doesn't snow in Vegas, cold rain yes, and here's a tip, to those not familiar with the Sonoran desert area here in North America, the nights in the winter are freezing cold... the only reason why Vegas will continue to be a Saturday night, passed 10pm pacific time race, is because the hotels in Las Vegas Strip, which own the city, want it that way.
I have to imagine that the boys at McLaren are questioning themselves by gifting Oscar his first win and not prioritizing Lando👀
They're not, Norris showed who he is, NOT A CHAMPION. 😅
@arkangelarkangel1302 I'm just saying, those missing what 8 points could have helped
Helmut Marko told german Sky F1 pundits that they did not bring the wrong wing, they simply didn't have developed one for tracks like this
People tend to forget that they have a lot less Aero development time than the others
I think the fallout from this season red bull will pay for in 2025
Trophy is very nice
Why did you make up the lie that Alpine claimed that Gasly’s engine never blew? Like that literally never happened, such a weird think to lie about
What? They said to Gasly they saw nothing in the data on the radio upon he loudly insisted he had no power.
@@LawVS So when did they claim it never blew? When Gasly initially said he was losing power they said to him they didn't see anything on the data THEN when the engine popped they told him to retire the car. so confused at where you got that they just denied that the engine ever blew after the race LOL
It’s crazy that Williams didn’t want Mick Schumacher because of crashing yet Colapinto crashed as many times as MSC in 2 years. Now imagine if colapinto was consistently under pressure
Albon as well. Albon has crashed more times than all his teammates and his crashes have been more expensive by a huge margin.
Just drop Miami, please.
