@@zarrowthehorse It's a game that's open ended, letting you do your own thing. I've had fun roleplaying an exiled UC noble with a grudge against one specific noble, playing as a Shek trying to dismantle the Holy Nation, my favorite was joining crab land though. Making your own objectives and some light modding in later playthroughs to freshen stuff up is the name of the game. Jerma is the kind of guy I could see getting into it, he's creative as hell and enjoys making up his own random goals. TLDR: It's an acquired taste.
kenshi is really a game that benefits from having someone there to help you figure some stuff out and get some goals going. some chat members were those people, but a lot of them were just too impatient to try and understand the game or help jerma, and too entitled to just wait for another stream. really frustrating because you can tell he was really into this, and i wouldve loved more streams of kenshi. one of my favorite games of all time.
It's actually a horrible idea because you're continuously making your enemy stronger that way, overweighting characters lowers their stats which in turn makes them level up faster. If anything you want to make _your_ character overweight, never your enemies.
one of my favorite streams. every time he's in the character editor it's hilarious. if only jerma could resist the temptation to reload a save every time his squad gets annihilated. you need toughness! i think he eventually figures this out, though
dr livesey daughter got teleported into the future and of all the places she could end up in that okran forsaken moon, she ended up on the dogs and frogs squad, RIP queen.
Even watching/listening to his full stream gameplay of Kenshi (about 16 hours) is worthwhile too. Some of these streams were just so gold that it's worth watching like it's Breaking Bad 😂
@@speziell1575 Yeah its aight, but early on he wasnt checking prices, if youre gonna mine, go for copper since its worth 3x as much and takes the same effort. I laughed I, I cried, this video rules.
Yeah. He just doesn't know what to do. You can do a lot in this game, but it's very open. It doesn't give you any goals, you have to make your own. The joy comes from getting stronger, exploring the map, finding weird factions, environments and creatures. Jerma essentially just walked back and forth in the starter area. You can loot ruins, smuggle stuff, hunt bounties, build your own town and reach a point where you can singlehandedly wipe out factions. It's essentially a sandbox though. Fun, but pretty hard to get into.
I started as some homeless dude crawling in the desert and ended running a cartel empire town and gave control of neighboring empires to ones that allowed me to sell my product. Theres a lot to do. Just real grindy. I also am the number one supplier of cactus in the in game world which i thought was pretty funny.
fun jerma fact, if ever a transphobe tries to tell me that they/them pronouns arent correct english, its great to know that i can refer them to halfway through this stream where jerma on at LEAST one occasion refers to one of his players using the singular "they", especially Frog Musk for some reason
this game perfectly displays jerma’s ability to have played a thousand games and still seem like it’s his first time playing one at all, there’s a pretty steep learning curve in kenshi if you just play the game the way the devs imply you should in the hints, but he manages to outbad himself at every turn. I’m gonna miss him, him and norm macdonald were true professionals of the old man roleplaying arts. 🫡
imagine joining this guy's guild and you hear him say "take 'em for plastic surgery" and then you get turned into a creature
Wish I could erase my mind and experience kenshi for the first time again
on god exploring in this game will have ur heart racing like its real
these streams got me into it, what a world to explore
Same here, now when I play I have to fight myself not to be hyper efficient. I miss when I was fighting for my life over copper ore outside Squin.
i dont get it though, after ahiwle it becomes the same thing. and you're just exploring the desert

Really is a stellar game you can see he’s getting really into it. Wish he played more before the tragedy..
We will really miss him:( rest his soul. I can't believe he did those things before he went.
of darth plagueis the wise?
You mean when he kidnapped those hitchhikers and made them pretend to be him for a day?
rip jerma.
what tragedy?
He never got another dog

Hell yeah. I just downloaded the game because of these long edits. Thanks for editing them man.
Kenshi is such a great game. Even its flaws are funny and charming. I look back fondly on my first experiences exploring the world. Hope you enjoy.
Youre so lucky. Kenshi is an easy and a hard game. Just play it
thank you for all these edits man
Jermas, the first guy I've seen to actually enjoy the Holy Nation
To be honest, if you're playing an all male human party the Holy Nation is pretty nice to you.
The fallout 1 and 2 ost fits kenshi so well
yeah!! for a second i thought that kenshi had a very similar ost from the classic fallouts lol
14:17 I play Kenshi a lot and i have never thought to weight down my training dummies with garbage, Smart Germa!

Kenshii lets go. My favorite Jerma lets play
kenshi: The only game where save scumming is acceptable and understandable
Acceptable, understandable and encouraged.
Ironically, the game tips say loading from in game is not recommended because of bugs that happen when you load from in game
Never save scum... Unless Beep dies.
JERMA IS DEAD, he has been dead for 11 years
Wake up and see the oero sick on the bed Jeremy.

Thanks, dump king!
these edits are saving my week i swearrrrr i love his kenshi playthrough
3:21 the Spyro music with what's going on is making me lose it for some reason
Finally, part 2!

cheers dumpy
1:06:00 the old fallout theme fits so perfectly for this game
Oh fuck I’m so zoinked rn
I cant believe how many times he was mining. I was screaming at you, Jerma.
Why not? Mining is a great early game way to make some money and train strength

Jeremy Albertson planned it all
I love your edits, got my sub
YESS PART 2 IM SO HAPPY
the spyro OST during combat was too perfect
Was waiting so long for this! weee
Can’t wait for a kenshi 2 stream
watching him makes me wanna play but i dont have as much fun my obsessive need to micromanage and min/max... ill give it another go eventually
try playing a save without savescumming or reloading constantly, become comfortable with accepting consequences
Frog Musk stealing Grog
Hey i don’t know if he did more kenshi but i’m loving this series looking forward to part 3
cured my depression for a bit and i thank you
😢 get some fresh air and exercise with this on in the background :)
That spyro music at the beginning 👌👌👌👌
Just went and bought the game because of this
Did you like it?
I pray for your future success, dump truck 🙏
Can’t wait for part 3

Directors cut of lotr looking different. I don't remember Frodo Sam and Gollum looking like that.
Crazy how he only had a few thousand viewers in late 2018
If you’re going to be using two handed weapon use a Nodachi since it damages humans more… though it is expensive 8k for a good one or a shoddy 4-5k.
i love when streamers play music while playing. instantly makes a stream 10x better for me. shame copyright exists.
would you ever consider doing an edit of his warband stream :o
he played warband!
?
@@jaspergregorio9774 yup but i can’t find a single edit of it anywhere, just the full vod (aside from the short video on 2ndjerma)
LETS GOOOOOO
Dragging starving bandits to guards is dumb cuz you gotta fight for exp
They would beat his ass so bad, he's so weak, he could fight them together with the guards and be safe tho
did u see how he handled 1 dog not 5 minutes later
Free money, evening out the odds... Besides, if you get knocked out at the start and you don't have a someone else with a first aid it's game over.
i wish wish wish wish wish wish he played more of this
I wish he would have played The Witcher 1
8:13 STARBOUND SOUNDTRACK WTF
aw yee
надеюсь будут нарезки ещё по кенши, хотя пишут будто он больше не играл ,гад дэмн короче(
is there a part 3

mmm i was so hungry but now theres a big pile on the plate. time to dig in!
I love this, can you maybe add chat? It adds a lot to it
god i forgot how ugly the default kenshi UI is
is there something to this game besides wandering around and quietly rping in your own head?
