I went to this fancy restaurant once. I ordered some tomato soup and when the waiter went back to the kitchen I could hear a pan being thrown against a wall and the chef screaming. After waiting for an entire hour he came out to me with a Wendys Baconator and kept saying "fresh never frozen" over and over again while watching me eat it. I will never be going back. 5 stars.

I love the slow progression from not knowing what he's doing, to kinda understanding the game, to the floor being covered in soup bowls that are being smashed by slices of lemon and ricocheting microwave trouts. What an adventure
He's doing what every chef wants to do when they pour their heart and soul into a dish that's incredibly difficult to make and takes intense precision, only to hear "It's too salty, 4 stars."
That was my initial thought too, especially because this game was made in Unity. I'm guessing that any object that doesn't get put in the trash can is still considered an active physics object.
After a while objects go into a "sleep" state where their physics aren't calculated only a broadphase to check if anything around them has changed for them to wake back up. Though it is possible jerma going nearby often was keeping them awake.
theres something really funny to me about the fact that one thing that seems to be consistent across the jerma streams ive watched is that he is so easily influenced by whatever music is playing. watching him lose it to hall of the mountain king feels like history repeating itself forever

The bottles and plates breaking is 95% of what makes the game fun to watch and Jerma knows it. He also could have used all his counter space for the day old soups, but leaving them on the floor is much funnier. The man isn't going to sabotage his own 8 hour long comedy act.
absolutely enamored by his response to learning that he had been playing for seven hours straight. "Sometimes you play a game," yeah, jerma. sometimes you do.
I like that jerma thinks waiters saying “careful that plate is hot” means they expect you to NOT eat your food, not that they just dont want to get sued for someone trying to pick up a hot plate and drop it in their lap or something
Most of the time we say it because people try to grab the plates to help and burn themselves and in the process smack the plate and make a mess. It sucks for everyone. Just keep your hands in your lap plz ❤️
Imagine seeing a kitchen burning down as a burnt pumpkin, a pair of tongs, and a burner are being microwaved, there are propane tanks in the deep fryers, and the chef had just torched both of his eyes out with a burner.
I love the contrast in a matter of seconds of how well things are going from carefully flipping the meat at 1:02:39 to throwing the spatula at the oil so hard it breaks
1:32:15 is possibly one of my favourite Jerma moments. The plop and slosh sounds mixed with him picking up and placing the sponge/pot is funny enough but the music and his stupidly contagious laugh never fail to make me giggle.
I love later when he is so carefully trying to flip the steak and it launches away and then a few seconds later the pan launches as well. Watched that bit over and over full belly laughing.
