The training can only catch certain fish, too. So if youte trying to get fish for the bundles in the community center, you wont be able to on the training rod.

I have yet to catch a fish. I got the training rod, and only caught trash. So frustrating. I don't know if its my mouse or me or what. but no matter how fast or slow i click, no luck.
so am I keep clicking the mouse/C key or am I holding it when it is behind the fish? I'm still confused 😩

This is an amazing guide, I genuinely didn't know I had to use both right and left click with the mouse hgftyguhijo thank you so much for blessing me with this knowledge, now I can actually fish properly instead of suffering and watching the bar plummet when I let go of left click

8:06 I thought there were four different catch zones: Ocean, the River in Town and Cindersaop, the Lake in Cindersap, and the Mountain Lake. Have I misunderstood something?
I am on year 5 and I am still on level 1. I have watched all the videos about fishing. I have caught a few fish but it is not leveling up.
Any suggestions or ideas that might help?
Just keep fishing. You’ll get the hang of it eventually:) I still have alittle trouble and I’m almost a level 8

I have noticed some people can do things more than I can in the first and second year.
Me, it just takes time.
I was absolutely horrible at fishing when I first started playing too. Something not mentioned in this video is that you can fish in your pond on your farm and raise your fishing level that way even though all you catch is junk (unless you pick a farm that does have fish in the pond(s) like the Forest Farm or in the river like the Riverland Farm). Over time, your fishing level will go up and that green bar will get bigger making it easier to keep it behind the fish.

I am really good at fishing in this game, but I eventually just had to mod the mini game out because it wasn't fun for me anymore. It turned into more of an annoyance after playing for a long time.
How do you mod the mini game out?
@@jennifera3074 There are mods where you can set that you catch every fish immediately. These mods are usually for a variety of stuff and just have this included. Fishing in any water becomes pretty much like fishing from your artificial farm fish ponds.
I found this video as I just started playing Stardew Valley and I'm having so much trouble with the fishing. How does your green bar stay with the fish? For me, one click send the bar flying upwards. I get what I'm supposed to do but it seems impossible.
My green bar and bounce around so much faster than that! Ill keep trying but jeez almost looks like a different mini game to me.

I feel stupid. when i'm fishing, i stand there and I get the exclamation point but never the "hit". it's very rare. am I doing something wrong?
Same thing happens to me
You have to click as soon as you see the exclamation point. If you don't, the fish swims away.

As someone who has played Geometry Dash the fishing minigame is not hard at all. The physics are very similar to the ship in Geometry Dash.
note to self: never try to play Geometry Dash
literally its a guide for fishing and its the most basic fishing guide i learned nothing and i barely have 20 hours in the game even tho you said theyre will be some advanced stuff, thank you :)
