Always top videos from Rahdo. Thanks a lot🤘👍
Getting a lot of Roll through the Ages vibes from this.
It's basically a remake of it. Same designer.
We can't be certain that some medieval gentlemen didn't fist bump here and there.
Thank you for teaching us how to avoid disease! Oh, and also the run through :)
I just bought it to play with my daughter of 11 years. After 1-2 hours of trying to understand the rules we are becoming fun of the game, even if I still have some questions like..what is with the Guildes house..and other that we will discover tomorrow
Pronunciation is "feef dum/dem" (fiefdom ) , and "burer" (Burgher)
This reminds me of St Malo except with an actual board.
My copy of the game came with plain yellow player boards. The numbers and type icons are completely unreadable. Is this a mod from you, Radho? Or am I missing some stickers?
You can request the stickers for free (only pay shipping) here: www.eggertspiele.com/en/home/99-era-ma-set-of-stickers.html
Did you paint your boards? Other reviews I’ve seen have had bland boards? Thanks.
i talked about it in the final thoughts... the publisher has released stickers to fix the board issue :)
10:19 is pretty triggering these days. Ah November 2019, you were simpler times....
matt leacock was trying to warn us!!!
I was wondering, where can I purchase more score sheets?
no idea. maybe ask via the contact page of the publisher's website? www.eggertspiele.com/en/
Rolling in secrecy seems like s thing that would make s game susceptible to cheating. What's stopping someone from rerolling a locked 💀 die? I know cheating can be a problem in any game but it shouldnt be made easy
i suppose if you have people in your life that you suspect would cheat, best not to play with those people :)
Jan Šinkovec don’t play with those people. Easy fix.
@@rahdo maybe im being overly suspicious but i always have that nagging thought in my head even if the person i play with i could trust with my life. If something is super easy to cheat and little to no risk of being detected then that thought is going to be more common. I just prefer mechanics that straight up dont allow for cheating or at least make it super difficult and risky. One of my favorite quotes in any movie "I trust everyone. I just don't trust the devil inside them."
@@AltarenGalil Why is rolling done in secret? I don't see the advantage of not letting people see what you rolled.
Prob alot to do with the swords and shields. If I can see you are done and have no shields, I know my swords will get thru. If its secret, then I dont know if Ill get thru or if you can defend succesfully.
I assume those food die faces are supposed to look like wheat but to me they look like rats on a stick. Yum :).
Food rahdo food :-)
So they made a roll-n-write that has none of the advantages of such a game (using pen and paper instead of pieces to lower MSRP and increase portability) and are presenting it as some sort of innovation of the genre. Hard pass.
Maybe to some degree, but you could say the same about tokens vs minis and plenty of ppl prefer minis, if you know what i mean.
No, hard plastic. Also, Richard explains why it would not have worked with writing in the final thoughts - unless you use a pencil so you can erase lost buildings or tracking resources up and down. Which sounds like a chore. And smells of burning rubber.
The mechanics are good. But oh boy this game is ugly. A major downer for me. Roll through the ages is still a better game for me. It seemed like designers just gave up.
Hate games with secret dice rolling. Sad because this would have been amazing for us if not for that.
