  • Maryland Governor Wes Moore and other officials give updates following the Baltimore bridge collapse.
    Emergency crews are still searching for at least six victims in the Potomac River after a cargo ship struck the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore, causing it to collapse.
    The collision sent the bridge plummeting into the water below within seconds, along with members of a construction crew that were filling potholes at the time of the collapse.

    It angers me that MDOT had time to make calls to save the workers and close the bridge and they failed.
    The port failed allowing a broken ship to leave port without an escort.

    • @abc-df1vg
      @abc-df1vg Месяц назад +2

      The ship followed all normal procedures and was on its way under its own power through the shipping channel under the bridge when at 1:24 am it lost all power and consequently maneuverability. It struck the bridges support columns at 1:28 am. They had 4 minutes to respond. You decide for yourself whether 4 minutes is enough time to evacuate the workers. In my opinion 4 minutes is not enough time and was an unavoidable tragedy.
