      Hi Moite mizo,
      For younger patients with no extra skin or fat, the non-incisional method of double eyelid surgery is used that doesn't excise skin. I hope this clarifies things for you.

    How to treat open pores and acne scars...?
    Is there any home treatment..please share it Doc. ..
    Thank u

      Hi jyoti,
      We can treat enlarged pores with laser treatment. There are many treatments for acne scars, depending on their type and depth, but they need to be done professionally in a medical office. Acne scars are challenging to treat because they do need multiple treatment sessions, so it's important to stay with one doctor and follow a treatment plan. I hope this clarifies things for you.

    Dr. Prasad, I had double eyelid surgery with permanent internal stitches, I had several allergies atracks on my eyelid (and face as well) is it possible to be allergic to polypropylene sutures? and if so, can I get them removed easily?

    • @AmiyaPrasadMD
      @AmiyaPrasadMD  Год назад

      Hi haha zaza,
      It is highly unlikely that you would have an allergy to polypropylene sutures. If permanent sutures were used for surgery, they would have to remain where they are to maintain your results. Removing permanent sutures would require another surgery to establish the eyelid crease without permanent sutures. I hope this clarifies things for you.

    Dr Prasad, @3:22 I see your patient whose left eye has this weird crease at where the epicanthal fold after surgery. Why is that so and did it go away after that? I don't understand why it appeared like so. Thanks.

      @@AmiyaPrasadMD Ah thanks! It did. But why would there be a crease for upper blep? Is that considered normal for such surgeries? Was it due to swelling? Thanks.

      Surgery involves temporary swelling during the healing process, and is completely normal. It is detailed in the video.

    In your experience, have you ever treated clients who have gotten Asian eyelid surgery that left them with a depressed scar in the tear duct region? I've gotten the surgery done a while back and always noticed this scar in my tear duct. Initially I thought it would heal with time, but it has not. I've gotten laser treatments done to help treat the scar, but doesn't seem to be helping the appearance.

      Hi a k,
      Sorry to hear about your problem. As a specialist, I do perform revision surgery for Asian eyelid surgery originally performed by other doctors, and I do surgery on the lacrimal system. I would have to physically examine your eyes before making a recommendation. I hope this helps you.

    Hello Dr. Prasad, I am one week out of surgery and just got my stitches removed. However, once my stitches were taken out, my creases are much lighter and not as defined. I had a revision surgery done, and this did not happen before. Will my new creases be more pronounced as it heals more? Thank you!

      Hi Hani,
      It's too soon after surgery to tell, and I haven't seen your results, so I can't say for sure. However, with temporary swelling continuing to resolve, your appearance will improve in the coming weeks and months. I hope this clarifies things for you.

    • @AmiyaPrasadMD
      @AmiyaPrasadMD  Год назад

      Hi Moite mizo,
      2 months is too early as you still have post-operative swelling, which will make a revision surgery inaccurate, and could make things worse. Your final results are not yet likely to be seen at 2 months, so it will improve further as swelling resolves. You can refer to this video about the safe timing for a revision surgery - ruclips.net/video/qTgL6KcwcxA/видео.html

      Hi@@moitemizo6500,
      Like I said earlier, two months is still very early in your healing process, so now is not the time to worry about scars. You can refer to this other video about incision healing over time - ruclips.net/video/Ofp9r9tVoPM/видео.html

    In your experience, for your asian patients with incisional method the majority of swelling goes down to similar to final result in how many weeks on average? (Typical healing, no complications etc)
    Also when do you let your patients start wearing eye makeup again?

    • @AmiyaPrasadMD
      @AmiyaPrasadMD  6 лет назад +1

      Hi hammypie,
      Most swelling goes down after the first month, but it can linger. I would say 3-6 months after surgery is when you are pretty close to final results, but full surgical swelling can take about a year. Makeup can be used when the incisions are healed and there is no chance of infection. I usually discuss with patients when makeup can be used after removing the sutures a week after surgery. I hope this clarifies things for you.

      Hi Milly vang,
      It is still very soon after your surgery, and differences in depth, between the creases, and the incision lines are normal, as explained in the video. You need to continue with your healing process to see how things resolve with time. I hope this helps you.
