EastIdahoNews.com and Ashley Furniture HomeStore in Idaho Falls and Pocatello are partnering to honor people in our community for Feel Good Friday. Every week, we surprise someone deserving of special recognition.
Brad Pearson is a physical therapist who has been fighting long-haul Covid for several months. The illness and exhaustion have forced him to work from home.
Earlier this week, he heard someone yelling outside his Blackfoot home. He went to the front door and a man working in the field across from Pearson's house was asking for someone to help him. The man's colleague had collapsed and did not have a pulse.
Pearson called 911 and went across the street. For over 10 minutes, he did chest compressions on the man until the paramedics arrived. Pearson was exhausted and said he prayed constantly for the strength to keep the compressions going. The man was rushed to the hospital and survived - with doctors crediting Pearson for getting the man's heart beating again.
We decided to pay Pearson a visit and thank him for his quick actions. Watch the video above to see the surprise!

@@AuntBee59 I'm not religious either, and I see and appreciate the positive place your comment is coming from, but for us "non-believers" actions like these rather show us what good can come from humans and that people can do amazing things themselves. To save this life was done by this person (and the medics) and he can and should take all the credit (in my opinion) and not pass it on to a higher power. Especially when it's something so true coming from a humble person like in this video. I understand you believe in God, and this is great if your belief helps you in times when you need it. We have our own methods of staying strong in difficult times, we just don't need a god for this. In the end we have all hopefully found our ways and what works for us. All the best and happy holidays. :)

@@cdh79 well I must say that was a very polite comment. Thank you. But there is God. There is heaven. He directs most of us to do good.
I’m so sad you don’t have him in your life. One day, you will stand in front of him. And I bet if you are in a deadly accident, he will be the first you call on.
I just know you will find him. Why not now, I have no idea. You see, I was given up as a child. At 10 years old, God became my only friend. He still is.
He is a comfort to me. I can count on him. I feel he is the reason I am like I am today. A big heart. It’s because of him.
He guides me when I don’t know what to do. I couldn’t live this life without him. I pray one day you feel the same.🙏❤️

Turns out it can destroy biofilm which infections can hide under also it removes toxins from liver. He has had copd for years. Both him and and another friend with lifelong asthma said that nac made them cough up very thick stuff that blocked the airway on the way out. Stuff they had never been able to get out before.

So with all due respect, it was science that set a series of "coincidences" in motion for this to be possible? It was science that told him that he needed to go back out to the porch after he first checked and everything seemed to be good? What does that kind of science sound like exactly? I'm friends with a few scientists. I'll have to ask them what it sounds like whenever science tells them to do something completely irrational and it turns out to be lifesaving.

I took one of those courses in CPR a long time ago and we were told that if you start CPR you must continue until relieved by medical personnel. This man had COVID and started it? He must have gotten some wind from our sweet Lord. I have always hoped I would never run into a situation like that .....well, at least since I came down with COPD. I couldn't do it now...all I could do is call 911. So glad the man made it

in training for cpr, my instructor, just for fun, had me go as long as I could. After 3 minutes I was exhausted. To go for 7 minutes or more this man is a superhero.

Wow what a touching story. God was really looking out for both of them. He gave the strength to one guy to help save the other guys life. I believe in miracles and this story just proved that they do happen.
