What a special kid! The way she loves on her mama is beautiful (4:15). She's so focused on her and making sure she's ok. When they first walked into the gym she said, "okay mom, no crying!" And just the little subtleties like rubbing her mom's back shows how she herself is loved on. Tia is just so pure.🥰

I am retired now but I was an RN and have taken care of special needs kids doing home care. Bless that mother for the Sacrifice she has made . It’s a Blessing from God to have you help in that way.who said in his word: “suffer little children to come unto me for such is the kingdom of God.”

People are low that they'd rob someone who has special needs. But Surprise Squad they're good people who can make things right. I've watched a couple this afternoon, I'm all teary, there is still hope for the world, still good, decent people around. All praise to that.
This reminds me of my sister who passed away when I was 10, she was like Tia and really love her so much I cried while watching this

I know what it's like to have a sibling that is mentally delayed and has special needs. My sister, who was seven years my senior never progressed mentally past the age of 11 or 12. Life was hard for her, other children teased and picked on her growing up. After my mom passed in 2017, she became my responsibility. I started to give her all the things she wanted but my mom couldn't afford only to find out in 2018 that she had a very aggressive form of cancer. I cared for her until the day she died. I'm glad I had the opportunity to give her things that made her happy. I wish I'd been able to give her more.

This is amazing. I smiled a huge smile when she was driving her nephew in her bike. I’m an uncle and strive to do anything to make my nieces and nephew smile, even if they gang up on me.I know many wish bad things on the person who stole her bike. That’s easy,but I hope that this story stops others from doing harm. None of us are perfect, but we should always strive to be.

Tia is something else. Full of compassion and as grateful as a young BEAUTIFUL LADY can be. I wish we had an update on TIA and this wonderful mom and family. Im just a raggedy 50 yr old black man ( I say black because I have a heart too) who watched this video and someone opened my front door and threw a bag of cut onions in my home.

Who would ever be so sick to take a bike from a disabled child. Why would this person be so cruel. But now she has 2 new bikes and she's strong. This girl is a blessing.

Tia is such a blessing. As a child my husband was an Easter Seals Poster Child, I have a special place in my heart for those that work directly with the children and the families. I bet she and her mom have made a pot of good memories on those tricycles!
I was really touched when I saw this video, and admittedly did some research because I 'had' to know how the family was doing today.
I searched this story, and the written piece included the mother's last name, so I of course searched that up on Facebook. Her mother doesn't have that many public photos but of the few ones that I saw, I didn't see Tia. That's when I saw a photo of what appears to be a mantelpiece but could very well be just a shelf. On it is a beautifully decorated Christmas tree, and comments that said things along the lines of "Tia would've loved it." To the left of it I saw what appears to be one of the things that ashes are kept in. I could barely see it but I zoomed in and saw a date. June 15 2018.
What I also found when I searched Tia's name was an annual report for a healthcare company. The report was from 2005. On the cover was a photo of young Tia... riding a bike. It was clear from this video that she loved her bike but seeing that photo of her riding one so young really made this video all the more special. I'm really grateful that someone stepped in to get her a new bike after someone stole her old one.
As a young person who has a degenerative illness myself, it's my hope that people who watch this video will be inspired into action. That we can be more like the people that we wish to see in the world.

Wow she is one intelligent girl for her mental age of four. I almost thought she was at her normal age level. Such a polite girl. I am glad she got good parents to adopt her. She is very vulnerable being a near woman but with the mind of child. Due to the wicked people in our society roaming around looking for targets - easy ones.
I live in the Chicagoland area, and these FOX5 Surprise Squad videos makes me want to move to the Las Vegas area, just so I can see these segments on the news!
