back in the 90s my dad and i raced VWs in this pure street class, u had to run a stock case and heads, but u could do whatever u wanted inside the engine. this separated the mechanics from the engine builders that's for sure.
Makes me wanna drop 3-5k on a sitter and do what you did to yours. i like the simplicity of the build but also the uniqueness it being a mexican body on a german chassis
Nice bug. I miss my vws every day! Put the rear engine tin on ASAP though! It's like having a radiator leak. The cooling fan exhausts right there and you will recycle hot air over and over again. And a shift bushing will fix that sloppy shifter, cheap and easy to replace!
ive got a 74 super and was wondering if you could explain what i have to do to go from the original rims and tires to the offroad tires. i just cant find anybody who sells offroad tires especially raised white letter offroad tires that will fit my stock rims. thanks for anybody that might be able to help or hopefully give a link.
I've got a 77 standard beetle that's just rough and rusted in the right places enough that I think I'm going to do just this. I want something to rip around Wyoming dirt in with the wife and kids in tow - not race or go crazy.
and sharp car bud. i like how its not too agressive . looks perfect to me. its the look im going for.
nice
As a former Baja Bob owner. I would like to get one of my own. My brother just raced the rock climbing king of the hammers.
Love the sound of rain on the tent. Great spot!
that last picture was really cool

Nice Class11 style project. What seats are those? Do they use the stock pan seat slider mount?

That was my 1st thought too! A cool VW lasts longer than an overheated one, for sure!
Looks cool! I like it!
Sweet bug. What tires are you running? Stock rim?
235/75 R15 General Grabber AT2s on the stock rims 🤙

I was told that removing all the tin and rubber seal around my engine would burn it up? How does yours do heat wise?
I've been running it for 6 years in Phoenix with no issues. But I plan on rebuilding the engine next spring and I'm gonna put tins back on it.
@@spencertheobald I just decided to get out the grinder. Problem solved. 🙂
How much you asking for it? I’ll drive out there to pick it up from Ohio
did you ever floor it?
