DIY USB SWITCH for Cheap

In this video I will make myself a usb switch using cheap and readily available old components.
Although it's simple, it solved the problem that I wanted to control my 2 computers with only one keyboard.
The components I used are:
- 1 rotary switch 4P3T.
- A male and female dual-ended usb cable.
- A usb cable from an old keyboard.

very cool, though that pot/switch seems stiff and tight that you have to hold down the whole assembly to turn it?

I built my own and it works great! Would you see it possible to use a male USB to 2 USB female cable as input? I'd like for it to switch both my keyboard and mouse at the same time.

Yes but HDMI had wat more cables then usb. So good luck with finding a pot with that much pins
