Thanks for watching my video on how to make table saw picture frame sled! I hope you found this project as helpful as I did. Whether you're an experienced woodworker or just starting out, this sled is a great way to improve your accuracy and efficiency when making precise mitres. Let us know in the comments if you have any questions or suggestions for future videos!
I've seen a lot of videos on how to build these sleds, but this was the first to describe HOW to install a tape for measuring the frame edge. Everything was quick, concise, yet detailed. Thanks.
Hi Paul, thanks for watching. I didn't mind my Ferrex drill press for the price. Unfortunately I found it a bit underpowered and when the brushes died on it I chose to upgrade for a heavier duty belt driven drill press.
I have a similar jig but never did make a stop for it. I noticed your stop was set to the inside dimensions of the frame, not necessarily for the size of the picture going in the frame. is that correct or did I miss something?
No that's correct, I made it for the internal dimensions. This made more sense to me as it took the brain work out if I wanted a frame in a different size to the picture.
Thanks for watching. Not sure where you're based but in Australia film ply is basically a plywood product with a phenolic coating on the faces. Its a slightly cheaper version of concrete formwork plywood available at Bunnings or other hardware stores. Hope that helps!
Hey! NZ? Oz? That was excellent... really well presented and great that you left the errors in too. I too enjoyed the lift/porn backing track. I've subscribed and will be attempting your sled in the near future. Thank you. 👍
Thanks David. I think it's important to keep the errors in as so much of woodworking includes problem solving and improvising. I'm in Qld, Aus. Thanks for the subscription and good luck with the sled!
Yeah I wouldn't either. But over 16000 people have watched this without the same concern. Even I just re-watched it to check and I did in fact explain each step. Maybe have another crack with it not on mute or with the closed captions on?

Excellent video and process. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
I built a similar jig but your design is top shelf. Your frame spray booth it a great setup too. Cheers 👍😎🇦🇺
Thanks John! My "spray booth" is definitely one of my best value for money workshop additions
Brilliant!!
Thanks Dave!
I see that you have a Ferrex (Aldi) brand vertical drill stand. It looks very good, how do you find it?

An ingenious device - well built and very capable. Well done!
And thank you for the VHS-era porn movie music, which brought back some happy memories 🙂
Haha thanks Clive!

why the irritating musak
Because I don't like silence.
Not wasting my time where the content creator is either unwilling or unable to speak and articulate their process.
