    This light would have been the ultimate EDC light - small and slim, very smart, and many features, but the reviews of the original design scared me away. Looking forward to seeing what "burned a hole in my pocket" guy has to say this time about this :D

    Those are significantly good upgrades on the 27 UHi would love to own one, one day. I own the 25 already, I really like the simple UI for tactical and everyday carry, I was hesitant to buy it at first because of the built-in battery, but it's not really that bad considering the shape and size of it, I like it and bought it. And the nitelab UHi LED is impressively bright, 1000 lumens seems like 1500 lumens to the naked eye. Good thing I held back on buying the first version of the edc27 and wait for them to release new version or upgrade the edc27.

    Its really odd that you have no understanding how the obstruction sensor on the EDC27 works. It only activates once and not repeatedly like you claim.

    • @NitecoreSG
      @NitecoreSG  28 дней назад

      @@Roman-nu1om yes it activates one. after it activates, you cycle back to high. When in high it activates again. I show this in the video. That’s the problem.

      @Roman-nu1om 28 дней назад

      @@NitecoreSG when the proximity sensor detects an obstruction it lowers brightness to level 2 (65 lumen). However when you cycle up to 1000 lumen (2 half presses) it stays at that level and doesn't cycle down again. I've just tested it with my EDC27 just for you.

      @@NitecoreSGno, I have the EDC27 v2 version with the proximity sensor like you. If you want to shine with 1000 lumens through a window, switch on the light, hold it against the window, the proximity sensor will make it cycle down to 65 Lumen, now do two half presses to be at 1000 Lumen again. Its important not to remove the obstacle from the sensor or else it resets and will dim the light again, it must stay put against the window when you do the two half button presses.

    • @NitecoreSG
      @NitecoreSG  28 дней назад

      @@Roman-nu1om therein lies the exact problem, no one will know to leave it at the obstruction to cycle back. Normal reaction will be to pull back and see what’s wrong, then try and cycle up again

    I'm looking at wedge lights right now and I would buy this one in a flash if it wasn't for the fact that the water resitance rating is terrible. One drop in a puddle and it might die lol. I guess I'm going with the arkfeld pro even if it means dealing with the proprietary charger

  • @poulan9

    My original was a nightmare. The buttons went all squidgy and half press which this relies on didn't work. This new one fixes the old problems, mostly, it still has a paper thin and easily damaged plastic screen layer. I fixed that by adding a drone glass lens protector. Other than that this torch is perfect and is a huge upgrade over the previous version which Nitecore should never have shipped in the state it was released. Overall it damaged my opinion of the brand.

    You know what sucks about this flashlight if the LCD screen stops working and nitecore came to get in contact with because oh wait, the manufacturer doesn't even want to get back to you to where you got it from as a present cuz I was using a fenix pdr35 and you know what that flashlight still works. At least it gives me a heads up when it's about to die with the LCD screen doesn't even help me so I don't know when a flashlight dies. I mean fucking nitecore doesn't want to help

      Exactly how can you call something trash with no explanation like I used to buy olight lights!! But the tail switch (magnetic) got something under it and wouldn't charge anymore. So I got ahold of them to get the problem fixed they discontinued the flashlight that I had bought three days before I sent in the damn request for a new one so they gave me the upgraded Warrior 3 I had the m2r pro Warrior I loved this flashlight it was the perfect EDC light. Then I get the warrior 3 while it was brighter it still had the same amount of throw the turbo only worked for 25% of the battery and it had that stupid sensor in it and the sensor would make it malfunction all the time so it definitely was not the upgrade that they made it out to be😂😂😂😂 I just want my medium 2 mode back!!!!😂😂😂
