No one has ever been able to cover this song and do it justice. It's such a simple song that only sounds as amazing as it is when it's coming from Pegboy.
been a fan since this came out and thought id never see em. saw them with face to face last year and was epic. they killed it and definitely were having fun playing again. was great!
I saw this video in the early 90's like at 3am and I remember the name of the band and saying man they sound really good and then falling asleep, but i found the tape a few months later and its been one of my favorite CD's now to play drums to.
Hey me too -- was it USA Up All Night! -- they had a lot of badass videos around late at night in the 90s. That's how I got introduced to Trance Syndicate. Oh shit -- I'm probably too excited over a post from 11 years ago. Ah well. Pegboy's still exciting 30 years later.
this takes me back to 1999 when transworld dropped the reason video and slipped through my fingers was featured in it. I was a 12 year old skater who discovered his first favorite punk band. forgot all about them and then getting into only living witness in my 20s I found out Jonah was influenced by pegboy and I rediscovered them
I saw Hot Water Music/The Gaslight Anthem/Rise Against last night, HWM joined Rise Against to cover this song during Rise Against's second encore...so glad I stuck around for them, it was awesome
Seen them in 1993 or '94. They opened for Social D. at The old Agora in Cleveland. To this day, one of THE best shows I've ever been to. These guys were a great band. One of the best straight up rock.
I saw this after USA Up All Night! around 1991 or 1992. That little deadspace after their movies was always filled with badassery I couldn't find or get close to in a small town. Ed Hall, Drain, Didjits, Pegboy -- they loaded that 10-15 minutes before 2am with some of the best shit to ever come out of the 90s and get us all through that decade.
I saw these guys at the Fireside Bowl back when I was in high school and this song has always stuck with me. It wasn't until now that I realized that the title of this song is actually ironic implying that the tough guy posture these guys always had was kinda ironic too. That's just another level for which to love these guys, I guess...
Had them on my radio show. I got a couple of people requesting a tape of the show. I told them on the air that they deserved recognition, not the Smashing pumpkins. Kezdy agreed as the board o.o sat in shock as we said The Smashing Pompkins were a joke and Billy Corgan was a crybaby. Lolling back on it, Corgan had a shitty attitude towards criticism and Pegboy would accept any free publicity. I hear that they are all plumbers. Y
CAN'T LEAVE PEGBOY JUST YET. After Three Chord Monte the band released its first full length album, Strong Reaction in 1991.The promise shown in their debut e.p. was more than fulfilled in Strong Reaction. Let's hear the first two songs on the LP. And look here---we've got a video of Strong Reaction. These two next songs are dope. Top of the line melodic punk with feeling! Left all alone to bear your soul And the feeling in your heart is low And I've hurt so many times this way And I see us all but slip away And I want it back right now and I walk alone through the sleet and snow and pouring rain to Get my heart broken, forever ever lost inside of I walk along to slip and fall on strong reactions Keep my heart broken, never ever amend myself That's alright and that's okay Of all the times I've sated free You ask for things I cannot be And I've read so many times before And I see it all drop out the door And I want it back right now and CHORUS Left all alone to bear your soul And the feeling in your heart is low I've seen so many passing ways I see our whole lives slip away And I want you back right now and CHORUS
this song has always been intense ... ever since I first listened to it in the early 90s. liked the album so much I stole the cassette from Jake Kochs and I still have it. Pegboy goes off.
Loved this band and this song as well as all their others for almost 30 years. Did a recording project many many years back that was influenced purely by Pegboy called Aging Thunder. Not sure if it’s posted anywhere though…
Saw them at CB's in the mid 90's, IIRC. My buddy Mike knew Larry and we did a few shots together. I was toasted after that, barely remember the show. Super cool guys though.
Here in Brazil this song was very famous among surfers in the 1990s... it brings me great memories!
The surfers of Brazil have excellent taste.
One of the best songs of the 90's. Thank you Pegboy.
Tiek Bane u should thank em

just seen these guys last weekend in Chicago. lead singer let my six year old daughter talk on the Mic to the crowd. thought that was awesome.
This was my dad when I was six and they are pretty cool UwU

words can do no justice to this song, and probably this band.
this is it.
These guys should be bigger than they are
Saw them in 1993 in Milwaukee.. Amazing show at the Unicorn.

big song in the skating and surfing circles in orange county back in the early 90s. brings back a lot of memories.
